Stoney grows Honey Fried Bananas in RDWC SCROG

I used the big 6” square one to hold my outdoor grow together. Part trellis part SCROG. Worked great even in high winds and storms. Plant moved like a single unit.
I like that idea. I added some support for the outdoors plants, this year. I still need to do more. I was gone all day yesterday. So, today will be my first real assessment, but I know I took some damage during a storm we had Saturday evening.

i have a few of those stretchy nets too, they've always worked great for me!!!
My first tent grow, so who knows where I'll end up. My initial thoughts were that I would like to try smaller and I like to be able to make use of space closer to the tent walls. The bungee net I used stretched away from the walls a good bit. Maybe those cross braces like @doublej uses in his tents would give me something to secure the net to around the edges.

I have some heavy monofilament (550lb and 1,000lb) that I use for building shark leaders. I've toyed with the idea of building a frame or two and lacing it with the leader material. That might be good when I try the CG smash technique that you're going for in your grow. I want to try another round with the training clips, before I experiment with a different technique. I'm sorta drawn to the high stress training. Along the lines of what @stonemason and @GrumpAzz have been doing.

I'm excited to see what you do with that thick and shaggy canopy. It looks super healthy. So healthy that it makes me want to reach through the screen and defoliate. They've been living to easy. Time for them to grow up and learn how to adjust to a little stress, lol.

i understand, i might get frisky later and try a few to see. it's been many moons since i fim'd a plant. be cool to watch a few branches for future thoughts..

no worries at all. i've watched your others and i have kinda an idea what i need to do. my real only concern at this point is getting all the branches horizontal. i'm picturing me lowering the screen and all the tops just pop through. i assume i need to sweep them out in each direction as the screen falls to keep them horizontal?
If your plant is at least six inches taller than your table when you table it they should be pushed under the screen laying longwise beneath it with nothing pulled through. By the next morning, the magic starts. The main colas will have turned up.
I open my plant up as I manipulate it to get it safely under the table, so as you say, sweep them out in each direction, like a circle.
i understand, so how long do i continue to keep pushing the branches under? like how do i know when to let the plant go vertical again?
You should not have to push your branches back under. Soon as the stretch begins they will assume a big vertical reach on their own. Sometimes prior to the stretch ending I may move a cola to another open place, but, I just push it under. It rights itself.

Look at the pics below, you will see the limbs are completely under my table top, spread out. Everything you see standing up, has done that itself.
Second pic shows you the ugly duckling turning into a swan! IMG_3439.pngIMG_3440.png
thanks.. this was going to be a future question of mine!!!!

ah man that would make an awesome bud trimmer!!!!!!!!!!! put the whole pant in one side and trimmed buds come out the other!!!!!!

she does Max!!! i really like sticking my face down between them both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🛥️🛥️🛥️

Not quite sure if I'm in the High Stress category. I feel like that's more along the lines of super/monster cropping, breaking limbs to form knuckle or something... I couldn't even do the smash Granny suggests. I wimped out, choosing to tuck and weave instead.

Those clips are considered low stress I'm pretty sure. They're sweet but I start training too early for them to really work so I massage them sensually and get them to bend over. Tie them down BDSM style.

I'm more in the realm of mainlining but I just go for 4 colas instead of the usual 6 or 8. @Jonnyboi84 has a couple threads that I tried to follow. I did 8, then I did 6 and landed on 4 because I don't really like them growing into each other's space. I'm weird like that. My moniker says it all... Wingin' It.

The second one is 24 in or more¿.....humm.....😎

More than likely taller as my tables that I do sativa/hybrids on is 24” and I like the limbs six to nine taller than my table prior to tabling.
Right on....I might can make something work

I gotta get this system running, and I'll gain a little headroom when I remove the pallet and tray that I'm using now, the grow buckets are going on the floor...✌️

I used two 1”x1”x6’ as weight and to keep it stretched out. I rolled in around the 1x1 once and used a staple gun to keep it in place. It’s like a huge hair net I can roll up and store until needed again.

your clones are already looking great, they're gonna take off real soon!! they grow so much faster than seedlings as you already can see!!

oooh i got some of that maybe i should add some of that too!!! hahaha nah i didn't plan on putting all those things in but it just happened...

.
.

i gotta say guys it's much nicer posting photos when they look good!!!!!

hoping they get even better because now we're chillin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no leaks and it seems to be working.. its humming and lights up anyway!!! hahaha

@doublej I know this isn't the same model you got but i thought i'd mention the delta on temp was defaulted to five degrees. so i needs to go 5 degrees above set point to turn on.. i turned my delta setting down to one degree.

i'm excited too man, starting to countdown the days!!!! not only the excitement for the scrog but also the hydro side of mixing bloom nutes and a changeout... hell i have a whole quart of koolbloom and haven't gotten to use it yet!!!!

with these last few changes of the automation with auto top off and auto ph i haven't done a single thing.. just kinda look at them once a day and peek in the top off barrel. i feel like my work here is done!! hahaha

all the action is set for saturday night!! most people go out to a bar on their bday.. i'm staying in and scrog'n -n- flip'n!!!!!!!!! haha

ahhh i get ya.. i was over complicating it in my head thinking i would smash and then continue to tuck for another week or so. i didn't realize everything was all done at once and didn't have to be done again... i'm liking this choice more and more every time i ask you a question!!!

i understand, that makes sense.. some branches may need a little adjustment here and there in the beginning.. i'll keep this in mind!!!

Second pic shows you the ugly duckling turning into a swan!

i assumed it wasn't going to look very nice at first once everything is horizontal.. leaves matted and held flat.. i'm not trying to win a beauty contest here.. i wanna win a sticky bud contest!!! hehehe

Granny, i got a little frisky the other night and FIM'd the tops on the smaller plant on the right. they took to it rather nicely and responded with some praying the next day!!!

Thanks so much for your help Granny, i feel comfortable with the next step and can't wait to see how it turns out!!

My Fing outdoor SCrOg is 7 feet tall.

I took a wrong toin at albuquerque!

thats just mind blowing to me!!!! scaffolding to maintain buds!!!

i didn't know you lookin for it!!! hehehe...

.
.

so since the plants are growing and i don't have those problems anymore i have been playing around with ppms. i've learned when they're healthy they're also very flexible with food. it's not like they eat from the plate in front of them but more like from the buffet and just keeping enough of what they want available to them and they're happy.

so right now heading into flower i'm at 450 ppm. i'd like to stay between 450 and 480 but with the bloom recipe, i;m about half of what GH says i should be.

Do you still have Privileged Baddies going? I've been curious. That[s probably my next indoor effort. Seems like someone else here (tomh, maybe) mentioned having these seeds, too.

Sorry my new tablet is pain

uhhh.. i see.. so you got drug along to the phone store for your wife to get a phone and you got a new tablet?

And I'm the prick for not wanting to go...... She's ruining hydroponic day Stoney.......can you ban her for a couple weeks buddy?...🤨🙃......

Happy to report the ppm stayed the same after 5-6 hours still stuck on 65

I better get to work on running my exhaust outside, lol.

A buddy gave me a some purple kush regs that I'm tempted to try. It would be good experience for me to grow some regs and sex the plants. Purple Kush isn't my favorite weed, but I might have a use for it in nighttime gummies.

🤣😂🤣😂

i've been thinking i should put a dedicated exhaust on this hydro cabinet.. right now i just draw air through both cabinets, they share a wall and i have vents in the wall. thats the only way i get air.

sexing plants is like shoveling snow.. only fun the very first time!!! haha

Looks great, but you need some major defoil done to the top. All leaves pointing inward first to go. Any sun leaves covering colas needs to go. A lot of room for a defoil, leaving the top third of the leaves unbothered for now.

Make sure you get it all set before the net drops. Will you be able to reach everything you need to once it’s down?

get what all set? i'm dropping that thing tomorrow night!!!

i "think" so... i can still fit under the cage and crawl around the one side to get to the back if i have to.. hoping i don't need to go under there at all!!!

That is a NICE color GREEN........NICE WORK BROTHER 💯

they are digging this last nutrient adjustment!! i'm gonna rally try to hit the same mark but with the flower blend. my new ph doser has been on vacation all week and hasn't had to run once at all. just clickin along nicely!!

i understand, i agree. especially the shaggy one on the left, there's a lot of leaves in there!!! i stripped a big double arm full from each one already and probably have close to that to go yet.. i don't have much of a plan other than to just get it done,

Saw this on the morning news. Mines yellow, think you said yours is blue. He did it wrong. 🤣

I do that too. Buckets and watering cans. Just makes it so much easier. 👍👊

250ml, 500ml and 1 litre marks.

the only time i ever did that was for my moonshine mash barrel. hehehe

I did the same with my suction line leaving the top-off. Took a while but it's handy to have. No guessing on their water uptake 👍

for sure man, i was kinda just eyeballing and guessing how much they drank each day. now i'll have proof!!

Flip day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i thinned em.. caged em.. tucked em under.. switched the lights, changed out the rez to bloom nutes and we are ready to flower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perfect! You still have some defoil to do. Don’t be skeered! You will have much to do within the first three weeks as well. But the smash was excellent! 🥰
