How much food are they getting....yeah time for clone practice!!!!!!!!!!!Still going strong. Time to make some decisions. Stinky Pink might have to sit this round out. The Indigo Sapphire is ready to get cloned and that would free up a lot of space. It's out of control.

Man this one's fun.
4-500 on the 500 scale. It's 400 of the base nutes and then I threw in some extra epsom. They all seem to be really happy with it considering I don't really control the environment in there. Light is at 10%. Not trying to push these girls at all.How much food are they getting....yeah time for clone practice!!!!!!!!!!!

And in theory you should be able to clone directly in ur dwc system too lolThe 4 Indigo clones stems should be touching the water, removing some leaf mass like cutting them to half size or 1/3 of the tips off will slow their transpiration.
While they don't have a root system to keep water up, or as they are not in a 80%+ RH environment where air is already saturated with water molecules and they can't release much water anyways
Slows down the rate the water is breathed out through their leafs.
Hung the fuck over my brain no worky.
I love the setup with the pipeTrimmed a bunch and tossed a couple.
18 clone attempts in total.
8 stinky pink
4 Indigo Sapphire
The top from the other 6.
Back left to right...
Blue Cheese, Indigo Sapphire, MotorPunch, Mr. Sour Pantz

Front 4 are the Indigo clones. All the others down below in the dome.
Trying something new this time... I didn't use plugs or anything like that. I've heard of people just rooting in water. So... without plugs, should the tips stay submerged??
Should I clip the tips of the fans? I've seen that done. Is that necessary?

Removing leaf mass; Reduces the net surface area of transpirationThe 4 Indigo clones stems should be touching the water, removing some leaf mass like cutting them to half size or 1/3 of the tips off will slow their transpiration.

Nah , I have not...I've got a full house for another few weeks.Stem rubbed the Indigo Sapphire this morning... phew that's gonna be a stinky one. Surprisingly it smells very similar to the Kitchen Sinks that are flowering now.
@doublej did you plant any of these? I think it's gonna be a raunchy strain.
Pungent and hard to describe but it's got a hint of dirty dishrag to it. Sharp. Stingsss the nostrilsI'm liking the reports tho. It's on my list for this next go
I'm having a lot of fun with it. Hopefully it'll also root clones no problem.Really liking this ebb & flow hydro system, kinda wanna do something like it.
This one's easy. Pretty hands-off, easy to set up and relatively cheap. The fittings cost the most but, including the tent, I spent less than $200 to build it. I guess a bit more than that if you wanna count the light.I'll run multiple, different grow systems/styles when I get back up
I forget what the cross is...Pungent and hard to describe but it's got a hint of dirty dishrag to it. Sharp. Stingsss the nostrils

You should have no issues cloning in that as long as there's no contamination and %rh env can keep water in the plants till they spit their own roots in a few days.Pungent and hard to describe but it's got a hint of dirty dishrag to it. Sharp. Stingsss the nostrils

Imperium X x Violet Fog.I forget what the cross is...
Well fingers crossed. I've got 18 cuttings total, so I should get at least 4 viable plants of the deal. You should have no issues cloning in that as long as there's no contamination and %rh env can keep water in the plants till they spit their own roots in a few days.
or I guess, in theory too, if there touching the water constantly the hydrostatic pressure will/should move water up? Not 100% on that info

Looks like it’s not getting any water. Nice roots bud, six days is amazing for your setup.3 out of the 4 Indigo Sapphires have rooted. 6 days. Hell yeah!

The 4th isn't looking so hot... I'm thinking it wasn't pushed down into the collar far enough. It looks pretty sad but I'm hoping it bounces back.

Roots in 6 days is WAY better than the 21 it took me last time. Rooted just sitting in the same grow nutes as their mama.
Hell yeah, I didn't think it would take long in there.3 out of the 4 Indigo Sapphires have rooted. 6 days. Hell yeah!

Back side is the supply and the front side is the return. I 90'd into the back side to restrict flow a bit and the front side has the big ball valve. I can open/close it to fine tune the water level.I'm confused on this part
Edit: figured it out? The back side returns the water back to the res?
The front side pumps water up
Ohh ok thanksBack side is the supply and the front side is the return. I 90'd into the back side to restrict flow a bit and the front side has the big ball valve. I can open/close it to fine tune the water level.
A little Danner pump. 250 gphWhat kind of pump?
Thanks manA little Danner pump. 250 gph
I don't use the little venturi attachment though.
Where's the graph for scale/ volume of water for a pumps heat to be negligible in a given volume of water.Danner are good pumps that can be run well in line not in the res.
When run in water it is known to raise water temps up to 4 degrees above room temp.
This is alleviated somewhat when run inline out of the water where it can air cool.
