I was drinking some Yuengling Beer and got the idea in my head to cut the can apart and make a thin metal frame that could click into the body of the hygrometer and act as a clip so that the hygrometer isn't flopping around. I might actually glue the frame to the tent. Recycling at it's best!!!

I do the same. Would have gone hard plastic only for fear of corner holes. I try to alway round them too.

Great idea though. I was going to make a DIY spot here but no point as we all post our ideas on the fly.

I wish I was that cool!!! Naw. It came with an external probe. Hygrometers don't use much power so their batteries will last for years.

I’ve seen your builds low voltage is easy. USB is between 3v-5v iirc. Amps are 400-600mA some a bit more.

Only hard part is the cord. Most are cheap wrapped thread rather than solid copper.

I saw someone hack a battery powered device by using a charger with the raw wire ends tucked underneath the dead batteries.

I use the cables as most new charges come with an adapter you plug in then the cord attaches. If you get the adapter at all.
