So I watched this podcast:
It has Todd From AG seeds and it is a great podcast that goes into his past and acquisition of these old strains.

The only thing I disagree with was his view on skunk. He said that everyone was just selling the skunk bud before it was fully dry and that’s why it stunk like skunk so bad. That’s not true, well maybe they were selling it wet but I don’t think that attributed to the stink. It was so ripe that if you had a gram in your pocket the whole grocery store would smell it. I’m sorry but his skunk doesn’t smell like that when it’s alive so that can’t be it. I think it is gone with the wind. Anyway it’s an awesome podcast and highly suggest checking it out. By the way I love his genetics.

I never would have equated skunk to cheese.

My brain puts them in different categories. They might both be smelly, but I can’t pull them together.
I have also heard of people saying garlic and skunk are same:same. I can’t get past that either.

might be that I’m being too obtuse with my definitions, but they just don’t seem the same to me.

I read a lot of negative stuff about his beans......... hermies, low quality, etc. I'd love to have some of the genetics, but they've have clearly been watered down over the years.

Wow I haven’t heard that before. I mean Skunk Number one is clearly not the skunk of yester year but I really like it. It’s mostly it’s a sweet earthy smell/taste. I ran the skunks and had zero hermies. I am running some Skunk #1 and some Skywalker OG x purest Indica right now. If it hermies on me I will report.

I think he does open pollination on his stuff which means phenos will be ALL over the place............i've stayed away since he does not do fem's and I've read many issues about some strains have hermies. But still, curious about anyone working with NL #2's and NL#5's.

It sounds like that’s how he does Haze as he wants to keep the phenos open.

I have a bunch of NL#2 that I am going to run this summer in the greenhouse. Hopefully Ill get at least ten females out of thirty beans.

Following, I’ve been looking for Skywalker OG for years. Never once in my searches has this breeder popped up. I need my googler fixed.

I grew a lot of Nevil's NL#2 stuff in the late 70's, early 80's..........fantastic buzz but a very low yielder. There's some others working this one that seemed to have stabilized the goodness but I'd have to remember who.

Also, I thought "garlic plant" was associated with a hash plant, not skunk.......
