Has anyone tried to remove just the upper part of the branch where the major colas are and leave the rest of the plant in the ground to continue fattening up the larf from below?

Yes I have. I was not impressed with the growth but you can get them riper. Based on TLC they do improve but will never match the colas.

Like Moe said, you can but don't expect perfect results. IMO the better option is to trim anything that's not going to produce usable product early in flower and reap the benefits of the energy going into usable product.

Yeah outside completely different as the gals get huge.inside ,just take off more down low when you clean up nxt grow .
like the guys said you can do it but it will probably fuck you up a little if you had plants in a veg room ready to go in.

Originally we were only allowed 4 plants in flower
