This happens quite often, but only on seeded buds. It's like the bud is using the sun leaf to feed the seed. Increasing nutes help, but what individual nute is it lacking? sorry if I'm not very coherent right now...lolIMG_20230919_185443393.jpgIMG_20230919_185536567.jpg

Still don't know, but I found a good read, and thinking maybe zinc? IDK where are all the nute experts...

Im by no means qualified to answer this but your fans looks super healthy so maybe this isnt nutrient related? 🤷🏻

IDK but this ain't bad. They get yellow and curl upwards on buds with seeds when ripe. The rest of the buds are ok. This happens to me all the time when I make seeds. Fans look good so I rule out NPK. idk I'm not sure what I can supplement to correct. I don't want to up the base nutes this close to finish.

Had this problem myself , seeds always turned out ok so I never really worried about it but you do have me waiting for a seed guy or gal to pop in

Its worse when the plant is hungry, so I thinks its nutes. idk
Yeah I really don’t know cuz the rest of my plant and yours for that matter look pretty healthy ? At one time I thought I may have been over feeding but that want it - my feeling is I prolly need say a 3 part line to get the right nute combo? I’m a bottle baby and just run pure blend pro grow and bloom so not much I can except change the dosage ? Ima send out a couple links here this afternoon and see if can’t get a couple breeders to chime in?

I have the same problem with dyna bloom, now grotek. Its only on heavily seeded buds. Lightly seeded not so much. I'm leaning Zinc, but like you said, the seeds are always ok and it doesn't affect the rest.

seeds gotta b sucking out that nutrient..it gotta b immobile.I had same with heavily seeded buds..noticed it bout halfway through flower.maybe a bit further actually..like you. guys mentioned didn’t affect the seeds one bit..they came out perfect.they must b getting just enough of whatever the nutrient it’s taking up as it doesn’t progress..

I see yellow leaf coming out of solid buds and it worries me, but its not mold. Probably more susceptible though. Wish I knew what I could do to fix it.

Following to learn myself. I'd be guessing.

Calcium
Sulphur
Boron
Copper
Iron
Manganese
Zinc

Those are the likely culprits.

Making sure your PH is below 7 prior to adding the micro part of your nute regimen (assuming it contains copper and iron) will prevent them from precipitating out and causing issues. It does not take much of these, but it does need them.

You could test Sulphur by brushing it on directly. You usually do not want to do this in flower because it will kill the pistils, but these are already pollinated so that doesn't matter as much. Try tiny amounts of micronized Sulphur on a small spot and see?

If you feel it's nutrient based what ion(s) promote seed growth? Whatever that/those are I would amend into your normal feed routine too see if the seeds are taking from the leaves because of the increase needed to feed the seeds and not have them cannabilize your leaves.

The hemp seed is a rich source of TDF. The dominant fraction of TDF (about 80%) is insoluble dietary fiber (IDF). The main minerals found in hemp seeds are phosphorus (1160 mg/100 g), potassium (859 mg/100 g), magnesium (483 mg/100 g) and calcium (145 mg/100 g) [3]

Calcium is the only immobile nutrient on the list.

But I'm second guessing that whole immobile thing, we are (I guess) looking for a mobile nutrient in that we are assuming the leaves are providing the missing element to the seeds, right?

IF that is the case - PK are the culprits. But I really have no idea, just trying to learn myself. But that seems wrong as I see classic tip burn too. Hmmm.

I just read a article about Zinc Sulfate for pecan production. I've decided it must be zinc. I need to find a safe supplement-any ideas?

There is a liquid available here in kalifornia that is a iron/zinc supplement for plants.

Would that help or would the iron cause you problems.
I’ll look around, I think I have a bottle.
