Hello from Ohio!

I've been growing indoors a few years now and did guerilla grows outdoors back in the 80's. I grow in a little bit of everything...soil, coco, hydroton, perlite, and whatever else I might have laying around. I keep 2 4x4's and a 3x3 going along with as many plants in the kitchen as wifey lets me get away with.
I've been playing with wick bases and soil for awhile. Also have an Aircube system and rdwc for my hydro itch.
Here's my current grows...first pic is Aircube with 2 Purple Cream and 2 Glue Sniffer. Second is 3 Violet Lakes in 1 gal containers of perlite with diy top watering. Last is 3x3 doing seedling duty for 2 Fruity Freaks, 2 Maui autos, 3 Blue Moon autos, 1 Burbon Berry auto, and a Red Gorilla Girl auto.

I thought I'd update my current grows here and open new threads if I grow something cool....got some Supafreaks/Berry Freaks started that are always fun.
The Violet Lakes in 1 gal of perlite are moving along nice and drinking about 3/4 gal/day.(first pic)
The Aircube girls are getting extra red this round......I haven't grown these before so not sure if I'm getting more bud sites or not. Either way they seem to not mind it in any way. Had to supercrop the Glue Sniffers in the rear and still going to be in the light. The Purple Cream up front will be fine.
I run Jacks 321 at around 2.2 ec down from 2.4 after reading some on this site....so far so good!

I zip tied the light to the top of the tent bars to gain 4 or 5 more inches.
So after the supercrop and moving the light up I still think they'll be in the light by harvest......but that's better than being in the lights now I guess. I'm afraid to see what the par is on the tall tops lol..... I think I would benefit with some side lighting in this tent.

Mars hydro fc8000 with all the supplement bars...ir, uva, and 660red....blue for veg. I have then turned down to 70% because of the Glue Sniffers being too tall but normally they don't get past 80% anyhow.

I'm keeping my reds off through the stretch but I'll put them on around 4 weeks in. I don't have ir to counter their effects and I've had issues keeping my plants off the lights.

Yeah I cut back on my red since I can't run the main as high...added another 20min of uva too. Lessons learned for next grow! It definitely effects different cultivars differently as apparent in my tent lol. But to be fair the Glue Sniffer are more sativa leaning so mostly grower error I think.

I'm not sure lol.....I do the first few weeks but that's about it.
What function does it serve for auto pots? It's interesting because I switched to a shorter fatter bag instead of tall and skinny with the mindset it would give a higher level in the bag of saturation. I'm just wondering if that's what it does for an autopot??

Its for fabric bags in the tray2grow system, not for my autopots. I was shopping for more pots and noticed them. Cheap enough, I mean $1.95 Canadian.... Almost free in Usa dollars

I'll keep an eye out for some cheaper. A 3d printer would probably work for this.....if I can find 1 more use for a printer I'll be able to justify buying it!

While I ponder chopping holes in the top of my tent.....Has anyone had experience with the cheap ec/ph monitors....like under $100 cheap???
I see them on Amazon and ebay and just wonder how bad they are.

I used to do breadboard stuff way back in the day. Made a card reader/writer to hack Direct TV many moons ago among other things....
Very cool....probably more effort than I'm willing to put into it though.

ahhh yeah the good ol days, adding fake money on the card to get PPV!!! haha... i used to do the same thing man!! two dish's pointed at different sats.

i'm just now getting into the arduino stuff and starting to learn. it's fun so far, possibilities are almost endless... once i get a handle on things and i am able to make the water monitor i'll let you know what it all entails from a beginners point of view.

I hacked the h cards those were stupid easy. On the hu cards a bit more difficult has to glitch into those. Then they got smart and made it almost impossible. Jerks.

I always said if there is a signal on my property and I’m smart enough to decode it it belongs to me. Not sure it would stand up in a court of law tho.

Then came the streaming hacks. Did you ever download movies and burn them to vcd disks? 4 cds to watch a good movie but no need to go to theaters. Best time of year was screener season for the awards shows. I had so many “friends”

Moved to plex after that and never looked back.

ah yeah, rent em from blockbuster and 48hrs and then rip em!!! on my trips to china i would bring back bootlegs of discs for like ten cents a piece!!

good thing they didn't have 4K back then! some of these 4k high audio movies are like 30gb and bigger now days!!!

Moved to plex after that and never looked back.

i use Plex too.. we pay for few services as well.. and i use torrents so if you can't be entertained here there's something wrong!!!
