Plus the serpentine belt
We have different engines, but all of those are the same parts needing replaced. I ordered some stuff from ECS, too. They seemed like a solid parts supplier. I also ordered from Detroit Tuned and Pelican Auto Parts. You may have better options in your area, but the local parts stores here were pretty limited on the MINI stuff.

A little nute burn a few weeks ago.. but still happy with her

I moved the secondary light directly over the one closer to the camera as she is still pushing out weight

Phew!!!
Hardest car job I've ever done is over!!
Timing chain changed on a 07 mini, the hardest part is taking almost everything out the car just to get access... What a bitch, but it's done, and it's done right.

2 days of work...
Good to see the cams are in good shape, the spark plugs burning evenly, no serious carbon buildup, pretty good shape for 120k.

Just got the car and heard this is something you can't skip on this engine or you will regret it. Glad it's done and now i have the tools to do it again when i get to 200k lol

Even replaced turbo cold and hot side pipes with bigger hoses and deleted a turbo muffler/baffle on the output side and a sound generator that did go in to the cabin on the intake side. Much faster throttle response. Upgraded coil packs to a higher bmw model that gives 20% more power.

Intake, tune, oil catch can are next on the list.

Edit this is a pic of before we changed anything, glad to see the plastic guides were 100% intact, no reason to drop oil pan to look for plastic.

Hell, yeah! Always good to get through some new maintenance, but a it's a huge plus when you're boosting performance, too. Sounds like the fun ride just got "funner" 👊

Should i rock 2 out of each cube or cull one??

4/5 success rate, light was too high at first, is why the first one got so leggy. Wanted to start early this time to cut back on downtime, not sure if i started too early20250909_192138-ANIMATION.gif

Wrapping up, this one is ahead of other one, maybe 2 weeks for both

Sometimes it seems they are always "2 weeks away" 😂 😂 😂

Myself I wouldn't do the two.....gut feein...looks juicy.....👀😎🍀

The other side, should i cut back on light intensity?

I think these are foxtails, but not sure, never had them

The white pistols make me think more time, but maybe that's cause I'm giving too much light and they don't want to stop?

Any advice is welcome, I'm thinking i should cut back lights tonight and maybe one more week total idkPXL_20250910_005130384.PORTRAIT.jpgPXL_20250910_005149840.PORTRAIT.ORIGINAL.jpgPXL_20250910_005155238.PORTRAIT.jpgPXL_20250910_005200835.PORTRAIT.jpgPXL_20250910_005221188.jpg

Yes. I'm a little late but I'd say so. Bitches shouldn't be throwing new pistils that close to harvest, if you ask me. I've had the same issue and it really seemed to throw everything off.

You can't tell me that the foxtailed parts of the nugs are of the same ripeness as the rest.. it's new growth. No way.

As far as separating the two... I would. It could work out but they'll eventually compete for rootzone and one could easily strangle the other. When? No one knows.. could make it through veg before one wins the battle and by that time, you've limited the others growth too much. And maybe not in hydro? So it'll boil down to whether or not you wanna experiment with it.

Got you, coin flip on which ones to keep? Or wait another week and see which has more vigor? Will be 3 weeks before I can get in the system, have to finish the harvest and cure in my one tent.

You are right, i should just do one. Last time my success rate wasn't that good so i planted backups in each one, want expecting almost all of them to pop lol

3 weeks should be enough time to let one shine over the other, maybe 🤣

in my experience, it's been a crapshoot with seeds anyway. I likely haven't run stable enough genetics, though. I'd pick the cutest and give her a run for her money... then start keeping clones.

In my Kitchen Sink thread, I used a 3-4 week old plant that never had the right environment and hardly any nutes. Then the clones took 2+ weeks to root. So... i'll be sewing a seed to clone shortly after I flip to flower. I'd rather have clones itching for the tent than have my tent sitting empty. I hate that feeling.

I know what you mean... someday, brother, someday. It doesn't take much to make a dry box but, regardless, it's more crap to buy and more work to get set up...

I've had great germ rates, so I can't complain there.

Yeah they sound great!

I was thinking this morning, i know crazy thing to do on a day off lol
But i was thinking and said, hey idiot! Those woofers are distorted because they don't have a low pass crossover!! They aren't two ways and are designed to be used in a component system. Duh... They are distorting when trying to hit the bass and highs at high volume cause they aren't designed for that.

I swear I'm not a hoarder, but i remembered i have these crossovers from my 20s in storage!!! Might as well try them before getting new speakers.

Game changer!! Now they are perfect bass monsters

Got total window clearance and zero rattle, little jerry rigged cushion tight in the door frame away from window track, perfect!!!

Great work in the grow and the car Ninja!!

I have a question and need some recs from you on my rig.
I've been thinking foam or weather strip but I'm wondering what a good material would be to use to line a plywood platform shelf behind my truck seats. It's a dog platform but also the spot for my sub which is a downdriver.
The top of the platform is covered in rubber backed carpet and may be fine but underneath along the back wall it's wood on plastic. Sound is great 90% of the time but there's some bass notes that hit and it sounds like the police trying to break down a door and I'm thinking it's from where the wood meets the plastic. No rattle though so that's good, just a hollow punch. I was also thinking maybe I should stuff towels or memory foam from an old dog bed down in the space gap underneath the wood platform shelf as well so it's not so hollow under there.

Maybe some neoprene for vibrations, it's cheap, or some sound deadening material like dynamat. The dynamat has a better surface and has built in adhesive on the application side. You could wrap the sides and bottom of the box with that and should do the trick.

Lined my entire last car with the stuff, really awesome, kills all vibrations. You will need an application roller.

It's really great for behind the license plate holder to kill that vibration from big bass. The more you can hit every surface the quieter it will be inside the cabin, but that's extra from what you are asking lol

Another option would be to spray the box with rhino liner, but not sure that would completely work, but it sure looks cool!! Lol

Making me miss my old baby...IMG_20200528_132920.jpgIMG_20200424_151908.jpgIMG_20200525_185145.jpg

Oh i still miss her so bad... The sound stage was perfect in there... 2 sets of 6" Rockford components inside, dedicated 45x4 a/b Rockford amp, then a 500watt mono block for the bass, 17 band EQ, DSP, time adjustment so every speaker reaches the driver at exactly the same time...

😞😞😞 I'm not going to invest all that in the mini... Well maybe one day, need a slim sub box behind the seat maybe, idk...

Damn my coworker just asked me on lunch if i get attached to cars, yes i do!! Especially when you put blood and sweat into the car doing all your own work.
