Last winter I was having a hard time finding the bulk amendments I was looking for locally to mix a living soil recipe for outdoor grows and to amend the soil for my veggies. Freight for the weighty online orders was cost-prohibitive. @stonemason helped me out by suggesting I search for "horticulture supply warehouses". This led me to Seven Springs Farm Supply located a couple hours away from home where I found good pricing on 50lb bags of Thorvin kelp, rock dust, gallon size jugs of molasses, etc. that I couldn't source close to home. They also carry a good supply of pest and disease management products.

Unless you're in driving range, this might not be of value to anyone looking for items that require freight level shipping. They do offer some items in easier to ship quantities, though. It could be worth price checking or seeing if they carry something you're having a hard time finding. So, sharing just in case:

Click here for the website for Seven Springs Farm Supply. When I grabbed the link to share here I saw they currently are offering 10% off using the code "SNOW10".

PS- If you are in driving distance, it's a beautiful area. It's in a rural location that had me wondering if I was heading in the wrong direction. A long winding gravel driveway through the woods off of the rural road leads to the business with some large warehouses. There's a separate building that had half a dozen people working phones to fill orders. Friendly and helpful service. It was a good experience.

To get a 60 cu ft. bag on a pallet of soil delivered to me, one state over, is $343 just for shipping- which is almost the cost of the entire pallet of soil. Shipping is a bitch.........buy local or amazon prime.
