What weed grinders do you like? Do you even grind?

Everything was like it had never been used before. So clean, it was ridiculous. Just amazing.

Welcome to the club Tremojem!
It never stops amazing me how clean and like new pieces come out of these things.
Love your idea about using the jar of iso in water too.

Your cleaner is far more advanced than mine. I'm not even sure what the numbers mean on mine and think it could be counterfeit because I know it's not running for 3000 seconds at 1115 degrees and is more like 5 minutes at 90 degrees but it works lol.

I got to admit I had never thought about filling just a jar with ISO and placing it in the UC filled with water.
Seems like a real ISO saving idea if you stuff fits in jars.
Most of what I clean could easily fit a jar.
That also makes storage of ISO between use super handy.
NICE~!
Yup, I clean all of my Solo III V2 glass, and Mighty+ accessories in the Wide Mouth Mason Jar. Bubbler fits in Ziplock Freezer Bag.

Thanks man, glad to be hear.

This will be different for everybody depending on the pieces and where you're keeping the cleaner.
Mine is stashed on a shelf behind the dab bar and kept at room temp. It usually has iso in the tank 24/7 unless I'm changing it out

Life span of the tank depends.
If you're cleaning combustion smoking pieces like pipes and bowls, your tank is gonna gunk up with tar and get nasty after a bath or two.
Deep cleaning dab rigs and pieces that have held reclaim oil will also foul up a tank and lessen it's ability to deep clean.

Parts like my peak topper, glass tips for joints, lobo capsules, puffco heating chambers give me a very long lifespan on the tank since there's no heavy tar.
Life is indefinite really as long as the lid is kept on. There's very little evap with the lid and as long as it only gets warm during a wash cycle, mine seem to hold a tank well.

This one is about 40 days in and I think I topped it off once with about 1/2 quart.
I'm gonna deep clean some parts soon with this bath then change it out for a fresh tank.

I leave my parts in the iso bath until needed. Then I rinse them off, dry them, and they're ready for action.

The tank on my cleaner is always loaded and pretty much like what you're saying, drop a piece in after each use so I'm always using a clean and sterile piece.
I turn it on each morning so it warms and runs a cycle and just add and take parts thru the day.

I get 70% iso from costco at $7 for two quarts. Higher % iso would probably work faster, IDK, but the cheap 70% stuff works fantastic for me in a sonic cleaner. Spotless and sterile in about 5 minutes
Dude, nice machine. After all of my research I stuck with Creworks and couldn't decide on the specific model, and then saw the one I got. I decided to take a chance on someone's pricing error and committed to returning it if it was a joke. But there shit is legit. You got a rocking machine there, dont you?

I have it. The Creworks Ultrasonic Cleaner is here.

It is Stellar!

Received it with a broken acrylic cover, as many buyers illustrated on assazon.

My box was damaged and therefore no surprise that the cover was broken. Additionally, if you saw the design of the cover, you would be hard pressed to sign off on it, in a design review.

The rest of the machine was unharmed in any way that I could discern. It is truly a very well designed machine aside from the cover.

The features are not fluff. They do as they were intended, and do it very well indeed! The controls are intuitive and have a good tactile feel of quality. I filled the basin to the appropriate level with RO water and a few drops of Dawn dish soap, dropped the basket in place and then put a mason jar filled 3/4 full with 70% alcohol into the basket.

I ran the recommended Degas cycle of 15 minutes and then filled the mason jar with some vaporizer accessories. I ran a few 15 minute cycles on level 10, at 100F. Accessories included glass, SS, PEEK, Silicone, and Aluminum and were run with some consideration given to what shared space with each other.

Everything was like it had never been used before. So clean, it was ridiculous. Just amazing.

I filter my alcohol thru 20 micron filters. When it is darker than Amber in color, I discard it.

So this new system replaced a dirty, shitty, tedious job of cleaning accessories. Cleaning is necessary for health and pleasure. Now I literally have three of everything and clean one set while using a clean set, all the while knowing there is an emergency spare set. I love this thing.

Second to last:
Assazon gave me $20.96 refund to keep the damaged machine. That brings my total OOP expense to $29.03 for a $180.00 machine.

Lastly:
I reached out to Creworks and explained my purchase experience and asked if they would consider selling me an all Steel cover from one of their many other models of this size, if applicable.

They responded with an offer to send me a free cover. Additionally, they offered to confirm if they have an all Steel cover that would fit my model. Stellar company for sure.

The Acrylic cover was to allow the user to view the cleaning in action and allow continuous monitoring of the cleaning process. This is wasted on me. I only want the cover too, slow down evaporation and for machine protection.

Sorry for the rant.

have you tried the degas mode yet? i find my atomizers get cleaner with that pulse.. i don't have much to go by other than it seems to not gunk up as quick. but in my head its way better so i use it.

i have also found great success cleaning in a small jar of iso with water in the unit. but 90% i run full 99% iso in the tank. even with my busted up cover!!! haha

Degas is for prepping the reservoir. I have not used it for a cleaning session. Didn't know you could. Thanks

Saw this and I'm hella curious...

Have you run across anybody that has one? I've eyeballed these, too. The look appeals to me and they have great reviews. Could be Rogen homers (Not a bad thing. I love his work, too.), but I can't imagine these guys putting out something they don't personally believe in.

Haven't seen one or heard of anyone using it. I just came across it one day looking through his ashtrays.

I agree though, the look is very appealing and the idea of a glass grinder sounds too cool, almost futuristic or bougie. I'd be willing to give it a go if it wasn't 90 bucks. Still tempted 🤣

from what i understand the pause in ultrasonic action give the object a second to let any air gasses bubble off the surface in turn replacing that gas bubble with the liquid and cleaning better. i know when i use it i can see tiny bubbles dispersing. some people seem to swear by it. i'm not one of those people.. i use it but i also use the non degas in the same cleaning session.

i'd be curious if you try it and out and what your thoughts about it are.

I found a grinder I've had boxed away for a very long time. Might've been 2012-2014 the last time I remembered using it.
It was pretty nasty with old grime

Seems the ultrasonic didn't just clean ten year old stuck on grime it but also polished it

Is that a Mendo Mulcher?

It's a Diamond Grind 110mm. They're local.
Huge grinder!
I forgot I had it until I found it going thru boxes of old smoking gear.
Didn't realize they had lifetime warranties either.
I think I quit using it because it was a PITA to clean but that was before I had a UC too

The thin upper piece had me convinced...
I like grinders built like that, like my Mulcher. They hold more flower in the middle chamber that way.

I recently removed the screen section. If I need kief I’ll put it back on. For now I want it all in my smoke/vape.

Man times have changed when I see 20-year-olds that look at me like I'm a ghost because I don't even smoke flowers anymore I just sift grinded up put it in the jar and sift it through a fine mesh screen. I also got to wonder where my tolerances at right now because the stuff that I throw away that I don't even really touch I have people try that don't smoke a lot and they're looking at me like I'm on another planet that it doesn't touch me so it's interesting how over the course of time what I consider really dank would probably drop a horse on its ass with the way my tolerance is

I did try it. It worked. I should do a comparative cleaning of the two methods. I'll let you know,if I do.

Do you use a weed grinder? Tell me about your grinder. Do you like it? What do you like about it?

I've been collecting and reviewing weed grinders for over a decade, and I'm currently updating my content.
There are 12 different grinders on my desk right now for testing and about 100 more in my collection.

I'd love to hear your preferences and perspectives on grinders.
I've never used a grinder, just my fingers and scissors. What are the benefis of a grinder?

I just went through this myself. I was going to get A Brilliant Cut grinder or a flower mill. I ended up getting a Ergo Electric Herb Grinder. It's just a decent coffee grinder with a steel cup that can be removed for cleaning. Cost me 35$. Works great but if you go find for too long it turns into powder.

We did it that way for years. Works fine. Grinder makes it a little easier and you can use the kief catcher if you want to make hash later.
I'll add it is quicker and more consistent if you are rolling a bunch or prepping for the squish or tumble.
I usually roll at least 3 joints at a time to go with me so it is just easier for me.

Mostly to homogenize the flower and get a consistent burn.
Homogenizing it balances the content and like most meds when homogenized, increases effect and potency of the medicine.

You can test this yourself by smoking a bud in a bowl without breaking it up. Straight from stem to bowl and hit it with fire.

Take that same weed and grind it up, homogenizing it, and load it up. It should hit you stronger and faster than what the nug was able to do.

This is often the secret advantage vaping has over smoking since many smokers simply break off pieces of flower and load into bowls while vapers have to grind and that grind is what gives the potent effect, not necessarily the vaporizer.

This also applies to cannabinoid testing. You get far more accurate and complete test results grinding the samples first rather than trying to test an intact nugget.

a consistent herb for more consistent burning or vaporization
no finger contaminants in your herb
no wasted weed oil/trichs on your fingers/clothes
grinder can double as a storage container for leftovers in between sessions
