3D printers and the things growers and stoners can make with them

Dudes! 🤯

IMG_3168[1].jpeg

It seriously smells like a dispo or a bag of weed. It's not faint either like the wood filaments which increase aroma when they get hot. 17 year old Bandit definitely woulda tried to smoke this.
This stuff might smell like a burning doob when it gets hot since it already has this much punch cold.
Shipping was as speedy as it gets, 2 days from Spain.

Fiber weed .i know a couple guys that made a whole van out of it and smuggled it across the Mexican border.

I moved the Chong van over to tinkercad so I could resize or maybe even turn into something useful like a storage box or maybe even a rolling car vacuum for rolling trays but when it moved over, I got this.....

So I doubt I can print out a fragmented hovering Cheech and Chong van but it's a start :ROFLMAO:

The aroma is so good on the filament that I went ahead and ordered apple, strawberry, and peach to make stuff like storage caddies and knobs for my truck but they'll be scented and so maybe, also work like an air freshener!

The cannabis aroma does get very strong when printing but not like burning wood the other fiber filaments produce.
It's the same cannabis odor but amplified so while the spool smells like a 1/4oz bag of weed in the room, when it's printing, it smells like 100lb garbage bag of weed in the room.
It will make your home or at least the room where the printer's at smell like a dispo during the print :ROFLMAO:

My first test print was doing a tentacle wrap for my dry herb vape. It's a small but delicate print with some trick to it so it needs some adjustment but for an initial default print setting...not too bad!!!
It makes my weed vape smell a little more weedy

Look what I found fellas! Weed scented filament!

There's other flavors too but when I got word there was cannabis scented filament on this planet I went googling.
Found it in Spain and after taxes & shipping, 500grams of cannabis scented for $54 USD to get it here so I can make weed scented vertical germinators :ROFLMAO:

So how much for your vertical germination stations? I want one! I’ve been using CD cases and it has been a game changer. I lose a lot of seeds when it’s not vertical.

DM me a shipping address and I'll get one out to you. I'm making a post office run Friday so if you get it to me before then I'll get it sent out Friday.
They're free and shipping is free. It's always been a pay it forward thing for me getting them out to growers.
Should get results like the CD case but a little more reliable, uniform, and consistent

@Bandit420 how do you like the app? I’ve nothing to compare it too but think it’s not bad. You can even turn on/off the light and camera. Great for checking things while working in other locations in the house.

I don't use the app or my phone for my printing...too small of screen and instead I use my 'puter since it has the big screen and mouse for ez navigation around a project.

Up on the top tool bar the block for prepare is the slicer and device is everything with the printer where I can turn the light on and off or click on the viewer and watch the print thru the eye of the printer camera

The prepare button is the slicer and I haven't messed with the other two but I think Project is for saving a file and the other is calibration.
There's two modes to the slicer..basic which is pretty much default and then advanced and advanced is where I like to go to make magic happen

ya know man i've heard that creality print is copied off of bamboo software and i have always wondered how close, it looks kinda close for sure!!

if you hold the right mouse button in on the object does it show all the angles? i wish tinkercad had that for a couple years now i get confused and always right hold and it does nothing in TC!! haha

This just keeps repeating itself :ROFLMAO:

It's like it's mirrored or something lol.
Yeah same right click deal to bring up a redundant menu and all that.
I bet Bambu copied from somebody, Creality copied Bambu, Cura copied Creality, Tina copied Cura right on down the line.
I do wish tinkercad was a bit more advanced. The other two platforms to build from nothing are pretty spendy to use. Tinker seems to be the only one for hobbyists.
I need to settle down and rattle off a bunch of small test prints to verify surface patterns and ironing. Surface seems to be the one thing I've not really gotten into and it makes all the difference in the print. I need to do a better job matching surface to surface pattern.

;bbuild

GB's VG is in the mail and I took a little artistic freedom with it...black back with green and blue silk swirl insert and the top pattern came out like a starburst.
Shiny silk filament gives it a glass like surface. I used the same filament for my printer poop slide it's so slick

I can’t use my VG until the end of March. Lose too many with the cold nights otherwise. If we ever move I’ll be picking a place where I can control the environment better.

Your artistic sides showing. (Notice I was nice and didn’t say autistic.)

Crazy you had so much snow. We set the highest amount of snow in one fall as well as the most snow in January since the city started recording weather. Willows head is above the snow but that’s about it.
