Best time of day to harvest?

Sorry if I missed a discussion about this in here but what is the consensus of the group for the best time of day to harvest? I harvested an Amnesia Haze photo about 10 days within 3 minutes of lights on. Have 2 Jack Herer autos flushed and prepped and ready to yank.

I like to chop during the lights on or outside on hot sunny days.

After a watering to ensure plant is hydrated and when I have the time to devote to doing the harvest right.

Actually, I believe resin count is highest just before lights on...........I leave my lights off the day of harvest and just pull a plant out of the room one at a time. Harvest it, then go back in for another one.

From the research I’ve done that’s what I read. Not exactly sure the process but something to with what the sugars in the plant do overnight.

your sugars will mostly break down during the dry/cure process.

the theory behind the lighting would be the sun degrades resin and the plant grows more at night to protect itself. this is where folks like UV, to force the plant to protect itself even more.

so it would make perfect sense to chop before the next degrading happens. it's the exact same reason we cure/store our buds in the dark.

like SSHZ says, it's just good practice to go lights out for the last 48hrs of the plants life.

and i personal prefer to let the plants get thirsty before i chop, my theory is there is less moisture in the plant to wait for on the dry. only my stoner thoughts, no data to back this up in any way!!!!

My only issue with holding back water the last day or two is......if the plants start to wilt, it makes the trimming process a lot harder overall. I will normally give them about 1/2 the normal water, just so the branches stay firm and don't fall flat. There's nothing worse (or harder) than trimming a droopy plant.
