That's funny but I know you are serious about it happens.
I have seen it when a higher leave is blocking the light from parts of a lower leaf.

That’s exactly what caused it. There are others. The buds on this plant are dark purple. Almost black like on that leaf pic. I am in trim jail. Just harvested and thought I’d take a break and share that pic.
