I live in a one of the last remaining probation states and I was reading up on the 2018 farm bill that is set to expire Sept 30th. From what I read I will no longer be able to purchase seeds when this expires. I'm gong in panic mode, I'm about to start buying everything I can get my grubby mitts on! 🫤 Will European seedbanks still sell to me?

GPS Is still running there revers auctions.

Regardless, there are many seed traders here and on other sites that can get you pretty much whatever you want. I wouldn't be too concerned.

Prior to the farm bill these places still shipped seeds so I don't see it being an issue now

The vote is in 3 days on the new Farm Bill. I don’t feel great about it. I think it will pass and being in the southern prohibition states. That means no THCA products and no more seed sales. Guess we will have to go back to European seed banks? Anyone have any thoughts on this? I have friends that work at legal THCA dispos and the cops are already pressing them and reports of raids already starting. One step forward, 2 steps back. šŸ˜•

I have enough beans no matter what they do but all things point now to a 1 year extension of the 2018 farm bill. Next year you might need to worry depending how the elections go.

It's very likely that when the September 30th deadline passes, the current version of the Farm Bill will extend for another year.
The impasse of getting a new farm bill written and passed is highly unlikely because #1 it's an election year, all the toads in DC are out campaigning and not getting anything done and #2, because the most contentious issues are split between party lines.

I doubt any of this affects seed sales. We've been able to buy cannabis seeds inside the USA for a little over a decade now, before the Farm Bill was even a thing. Sure it's shady and black market but very hard for anybody to shut it down especially when there's no interest in LEO to shut down seed sales.

The two major issues in the Farm Bill not being redone are intoxicating hemp and SNAP/food stamps.
Getting intoxicating hemp products off the market could probably be a bipartisan pass but SNAP, not so much.
Liberals are for free food programs, free lunch in schools, and food stamps.
GOP is against free food programs and food stamps.
That divide seems to be base policy issues I doubt either party can move from so it's stuck in the mud.

In the meantime, live the pirate life. Fill the ship's hull and load up until you're riding low in the water.
Personally I'll be buying 14 gram buckets of THCa diamonds every payday until I no longer can then I'll sit on my pirate treasure saying fuck you gubment. šŸ˜‹

Where you getting yours?
I've found a few places but they're all kinda pricey tbh.

Local dispo. They don't don't do mail order though and I'm buying from them in bulk at 14g.
A 14 gram bucket is $250 but if I order online and pay at the store, it's 10% off and I pay $225 for it. I also accrue loyalty points which is another $5 off. I do this 6 times then I hit a one time point credit of 30% off a single purchase which will be more diamonds haha.
In comparison, 2g buckets are $50 so buying that way would get me 10g for the same $250.

Thru mail order I've only gone thru Mood and while their stuff is better, I get half the weight than I do local so that $250 would only get me 5g of diamonds from them but they do have a 20% off coupon

Damn so it's about what I'm seeing everywhere.
I guess I'll keep getting it in Maine at 130-180 and oz. I was just hoping not to have to drive or buy so much at a time lol.
I'll prolly grab another jar full when I go up for the fair next week.

That’s a little reassuring, I’m only two years in to my growing journey. There’s too much I want grow to just have the rug ripped out from under me for seeds.
