I've not read it yet lol, just saw it and posting it to come back to it and share it if it's anything of interest.
 
I wonder how people will react to this. I can see it being incorporated into commercial ag but then you're going to get the GMO people screaming bloody hell.

Afaik, it's just genetic modification, changing genes.

Adding/removing/manipulating/mutating

Can be used for good or bad.
 
This would be a game changer for a lot of commercially propagated crops just for use in rootstock varieties to graft fruiting crops on to.
I'm still a bit torn on gmo though, I dont know what the unintended consequences to health or the natural environment are, basically. Roundup ready crops for example. It makes growing crops easier and increases yield, Yeah.. but do we end up consuming a known carcinogen as a result?

Imagine being able to get weed seeds with mega-rooter genetics though.. hahaha, It's all about those massive roots.
