I’m not picking on looks , lol bag appeal is what I’d call it and I bet I could yours out of a joint line up! Lol very little commercial or even black market smoke ck’s all the boxes for me

Well smoke tests are in and I humbly yield to one of the celebrity strains as the better pot. Not by much but it is better and in the end this is really like trying to arrange 1a, 1b, etc.

Ok so here's the thing...There's often debate about hydro/synthetic nute grown vs organic. IDK which is better as that often depends on strain and grower but what I do notice is that my palate has been conditioned to organics so much that I can tell when it's grown with salts or organics.
2 of the 3 celebrity strains are definitely hydro.
The other, which is my fave, tastes organic. I had to deep dive on the farm that grew it and sure enough. They call it "Holistic" so maybe not 100% organic, IDK, but that nug is the most organic tasting nug I've ever bought off the commercial market
 
I can get Mike Tysons, Punch out. I like it it has a unique taste and very smooth. They charge about $10 g too much for me to be paying but I've bought a few grams just as a taste test....I wish they'd open it up here more so we could go to a cafe or bar with their home grown to sample along with other artisan growers but oh no Gov has to keep it mostly restricted as to where we buy or smoke.

I have a feeling I'm not gonna enjoy Illinois recreational cannabis as much as I enjoy Vegas or Colorado for much of that same reason.
It looks very big cannabis driven, no little guy growers or products, very tight buying restrictions, and very heavy taxes.
I did a test order that came out to $300 and there was another $100 in taxes tacked on. $400 for two 100mg drinks, one 30mg drink shot, 2 grams of extract, one 300mg disposable cart, and two 1 gram carts. 😳 That would only cost around $120 in Vegas and they'd probably toss in a free cart or a few doobies along with it.
I'm not sure if I could live with that if I lived there and would probably stay illegal

I have 3 Mike Tyson cuts...Uppercut, Pigeon Roller, and The Toad. Here I have a sample of his Uppercut for voting and it's one of the hydro grown buds

Fun and interesting little game with Y'all. I probably could've pulled something insane looking from my private reserve stash but since the celebrities samples were just some rando buds I picked something just as random from my main bulk stash

The majority winner and winner in the smoke test is.......#3, Love Machine by Cheech & Chong. This purple "holistic" grown sativa is legit. Smooth flavor and smoke, great potency, great bag appeal. Perfect dry and cure. If all dispensary weed was like this, the world would be a much better place.
And as it turns out, some of Y'all know good pot just by looking at it. Well done folks!🤘

2nd place has me wondering WTF are Y'all thinking? Some of you might quite possibly need remedial training in pot snobbery with that choice.
But I get it...It's hard to judge a book by it's cover, looks can be deceiving...enter your favorite cliche here..
Coming in second place is #4, Trigger by Willie Nelson.
This is over dry and mediocre typical dispo weed of average potency. Squeeze the bud and it crumbles to fine dust without a grinder.
I love some Willie Nelson, he's my homie, but this is questionable branding. Trigger is a legendary guitar and this pot does not deserve such a brand. I just hope Red Headed Stranger and Blue Skies pull up the slack.
It did come in very cool jars though so there's that.🤠

3rd place is my organic home grown Purple Crash from Greenpoint.
High fives to all who voted for #2. You're awesome and you know good pot when you see it.😋

And finally, bringing up the rear is Uppercut by Mike Tyson.
Seriously, Y'all picked The Champ's sample last.
I'm telling and he's gonna be pissed!
Anybody who did not vote for #1 better cover your ears or something cuz Mike's a biter!

So that about does it for Rank The Dank Celebrity Edition. I was hoping to add Jim Belushi and Ricky Williams samples but unfortunately neither of those guys had products where I shopped so they're dq'ed.

Yeah I didnt see this till today and picked 2 as the best without looking how the poll came out. Surprised Willies was bad cause snoop dog said it was the only thing that made him take a break cause he was high
