Stoney's Luv Shack

Yeah so this happened yesterday and me being the evil sumbitch who likes to watch the world burn thought I would be kind and share just to get your thoughts because it really feels like a conflict of interest.
Especially that red and gold Hendricks cap.....

I get it. Been there done that so I know how this goes. The rage is real. Briscoe drove an A&M car last year and things haven't been the same since but winning has helped me move past it.
So to soothe those feels...here's an hour of burnouts to make ya smile again

took everything i had to not use my ability to delete that!!!!!!

thats the fakest smile i've ever seen on cliff daniels face... vegas is coming up in a couple weeks, maybe they can right that wrong and make up for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just checked in for the oriellys race.... got my bday bonus of 125 too!!

Cheers buddy and I hope you have a great day!!!
So if Larson wins, does that mean we'll see Taylor Swift in VL?
I saw he has a Chiefs helmet for tomorrow too. Not sure if it has the arrowhead but it's Chiefs red and gold

I’ve got the pro set with one or two slim 20v tools as well. Bought the 18v to 20v adapter.

It was the impact gun that finally got that last bolt out of my Ruger rail. 👍

thanks man!!!!!!!

i probably use my impact more than any other tool, it gets used pretty much daily. it's not the atomic series but it is a brushless. i also have a brushed impact that sits for back up. my drill was not brushless though, and not the strongest anymore so it will now be retired with the brushed impact!! haha another battery and charger is always welcomed so thats was a nice touch!!

Thanks Zen!!!!!!!!

i still have some 18v stuff.. 18 is the only hammer drill i have, that one has a tee bar for it too so for big stuff i still use it. i only have three or four batteries for it anymore though. the 20v stuff i use daily, saws, grinders, drills, drivers, i even use the small wet dry vac, it's nice when i don't need a cord to clean up a tiny mess i make in a fancy house in an hoa.

i've made a living with my hands and tools all my life and dewalt makes great stuff. their brushless stuff is no joke!

Happy Bday for yesterday Stoney 😀

I used to work in construction, draftsman and estimator. I’d see what the guys used, what worked and what didn’t. DeWalt was good back then along with a few others. I use drills the most. Attach different things or just making holes or using as a screw gun.

My DeWalt hammer drill isn’t brushless and probably needs new ones going by the smell these days. But to give your stuff extra life buy one of these. Just don’t leave a battery in it sitting, it will slowly drain it. 18v to 20v adapter.IMG_6607.jpeg

I also bought a Makita set a while back. Smaller, but so far so good. Lasting well and a bit lighter. Needed the second set when we did some renovations.

Haven’t had to replace any of the Makita batteries but I got screwed on buying dewalt that turned out to be stale and didn’t last long. So I bought a two pack of batteries and swapped the guts and returned them. Been fine since.

I like the dewalt brand.they last for years..well most of them…I bought their cold saw not long ago worth 1100 bucks and the first thing wrong was the clamp what you wind up to hold the steel steady.the clamp wasn’t completely horizontal so instead of fixing it I took it back for another and fuck me..it was the same soo I took it home and cut it straightened and welded it up….good job.but then it wouldn’t cut the 10mm flat bar or 50x50 ms square tube straight 1759147386342.gif.fuck I was pissed off haha.looks like I’ll have to unbolt it from the base and shim it one side..bit of fucking about but ideally I want to put it on a welding table .the positive I got the paddle shift 125mm Xr grinder and charger part of their redemption which was worth over 600 bucks..I have the 4 inch grinder too I’ve had for 15 years and I can’t kill it..

I am all Dewalt with the exception of a Milwaukee Pop rivet gun.
Milwaukee was first with an affordable battery powered pop rivet gun.
I have a Dewalt rivet gun now also just for battery convenience.
The battery nail guns by Dewalt are handy but be warned if your nails are wire collated your gun will fail quickly.
I have gone through 3 of them only paying for one, but I won't be buying another.
There used to be a repair center for all Dewalt stuff around here, but they went away~!
Now I just have my work partner call Dewalt direct and threaten to switch to all Milwaukee.
Have gotten free blower, roof nail gun and Sawzall.
I have multiples of many of the tools since I have been using them to make a living for over 20 years.
Just a shame they won't service their product anymore.
Between the two of us we have to have well over 30 tools.
I am at 10 with just impacts, circular saws and drills~!
Bringing power to a roof is not always a simple task.

What’s ya best 3/8 or 1/2 impact Steam.i should b getting a new garage done soon hopefully and will b helping them put it up.I’ve got a couple long extensions to save bending over when doing the roofing..
You chose the one tool I don't have~!
I have 3 regular impact /driver guns for screws and such but not one of the beast for auto.
I just did some work on one of my cars and I hate it. I had to replace the power steering pulley and it was rough to reach it where it was. Had to be under the car.
All videos show it being done with the pump removed from vehicle. That sure wasn't happening~!
I got it done for way less than it would have cost and know it is right but man, ' man hands' in tight spaces and I am a small guy~!
I wish I could say I enjoy working on cars but truth be told I just want to cruise around in them~!

Half my drills are 1/2” but I only have one or two impact guns. Probably 3/8” as 1/2” is usually sold separately.

i got a lot of batteries... different kinds, different sizes.. years ago somebody i knew was fed up with theirs and gave me a couple chargers and eight batteries for black n decker.. i didn't have any tools but he was going to throw them away... so when i need a couple yard tools it was easy to pick. haha then i got an adapter to use those batteries on my dewalt... i bet i have close to twenty batteries!! hahaha

i on't know if it's the same size but i have one of these.. holy shit does this thig eat up batteries!!!!!!!!!!! it's nice to have in those quick jams but anything serious i just use an electric grinder.

i have a circular saw that i broke.. i think i can fix it. you gotta remove like every part from it to get inside.. looked very involved at a glance and it's been sitting on the garage floor ever since!!

i don't own a power rivet gun at all... years ago i thought about buying one of those cheap attachments that go on a drill but never did.. still haven't used a rivet since so i guess i don't need one!! hahaha.. you watch next week i'll need to rivet something now!! hahaha i have old school hand guns to get me by!!
this is probably my favorite battery tool there is...

you can get outlet saws and cut out perfect outlets in seconds!! i use it for cutting, sanding, i like the razor blade for it to scrape stuff, plus it sounds cool when you use it!!!!!!!!!! hahaha

in the garage i don't really mess with batteries at all, i use mostly all air tools. compressor gets noisy but i don't do as much as i used to out there.

Ahh the ol' wiggle cutter... my favorite tool as well

I'm on the red team though and I've always been jealous of the yellow team's quick release trigger for the blades.

Does DeWalt make a hydraulic impact?
I have Milwaukee's and it's called the Surge Impact. It's crazy the difference in noise and vibration compared to the regular 1/4" impacts. It struggles a bit with concrete anchors longer than 2 inches and has a hard time with lag screws bigger than 3/8, but it's flat amazing for anything else. It's my other favorite tool.

The air pump is fuckin' sweet too. I might have 3 or 4 favorite tools if we also wanna talk about chainsaws. Dang... I also have the weedeater/polesaw/hedge trimmer combo. That thing's pretty sweet too.

I like tools.

001.JPG

you know why they call them saws stihls? because you pull em and pull em and they stihl don't start!!!! hahahahahaha

I just have a little 029 for only occasional use. It starts easy, but I damn sure better not let it run out of gas. After running it empty, it won't start again until after it cools down. Now, if I shut it off and refill before it runs empty, it fires right up 🤷‍♂️

I’ve got a 22”(?) Poulan Pro. Piece of crap that runs the chain as soon as you start it. 😳

I’ll use one of my battery skill saws on most younger trees that pop up each year, reciprocating saws don’t do well until the trees big enough not to move.
