Tips make pre rolls taste like chit

So ever since cannabis was legalized I could never understand why pre rolls taste like wet cardboard or something. Always left a weird aftertaste no matter what strain. But if you roll a fatty with no tip it taste great! So I made a bunch of pre rolls with tips from home grown. They all taste lick chit. So I break the tips off and bam, it taste like weed again. Try it! It’s amazing. I understand that tips kind of collect resin so it doesn’t get on your lips or whatever it they seriously change the taste to poop. Down with tips!!
 
What kind/brand tips do you use?
I use Raw and can't say I have ever noticed anything.
I roll 4-6 joints with tips per day on average.
I have seen glass tips that reusable also.

I use RAW too. Maybe I just have weird taste buds or something?
 
I roll all my crutch’s from card stock. Never have an issue and cheap as hell.

It's probably an acclimation and tolerance for you. Like going nose blind to an odor in a home that only visitors seem to smell.
Raw tips are the same reason I cant use white papers like zig zags. Only Raw black papers for me otherwise it will taste like I'm sucking on a phone book

After using I stick them in a sonic jewelry cleaner filled with iso. Hit the timer for 5 minutes and the iso will warm and the sonic pulse will clean the tips up like new for reuse

lol...I saw you posted those so I had to have them,,,,, I too wanted what the cool kids use.....lol........not a fan, I still spit out chunks. and found them.....a....bit.......gay.....lol...something about French whore houses came to my mind....maybe not gay so much but....light definitely light.....lol

I use the raw folded in 1/2 and tucked in after I roll, 6-8-10 per day usually 2 at a time....man joints...lol

But did you roll it or pack it? My comment almost don't make sense because pre rolls are packed lol so whoever using them ain't Rollin shit anyway

Can't find it but it's usually pregnant, loose, and shits out the end when ya hit it, looks like a bean bag haha

It's a major problem with 1.5 papers

Shiiiiiiiiiit, 57 years ago we didn't have glue on our papers and could roll with one hand riding a horse....lol....it wasn't until the aquafuge papers came in that we had glue...then came cut corners...and filters??? fk no we were men...lol at 15,16

Can you roll a joint without glued papers???? a bit of a trick to it only us oldies will remember.

I know what you mean though...They're aristocrat fancy.
I also like my fingers don't smell like a roach after burning one down.
So yeah...I use glass and a sushi rolling mat because I'm not a fucking savage :LOL:

Beanbag is a great way to describe a preroll. They're never actually rolled.

It’s rolled with the filter in there. Smokes like a little cigar.

Anyone remember glass blunts? It was like a pair of glass tubes the inner one acted as a push rod to eject the old ashy burnt end? Ended up holding like a bluntswerth of weed

I fold it in half then roll it up, remove a small bit from 1 of the joint end and insert

i have a feeling i won't notice much going from paper to glass but might be more noticeable going from glass to paper...

i've been digging the tips over the past couple days... nice to have the glass to hold on to, kinda a little more nervous to drop them in the garage though.. cement floors and glass don't play well together!!!

I've been cutting the paper ones in half when I roll a regular size, when it's a king size I go full size filter.

This was a straight hash doobie,20241031_090005.jpgprobably 2.5-3g, maybe more idk. I had to filter that, otherwise it would've been glue halfway through lol

Filter material lol birthday, christmas cards, any flyers with decent gauge card i pick up, rizla packs the card is a nice gauge inside and out, I've started using hemp rips so I've had any rizla in a while.

I have smoked without tips for a week and then gone back to tips.
I really have not noted a difference like before but will continue to use due dilligance.

Same for me. Didn't really notice a difference filter or not as far as the high and stuff.
 
i guess i have been a slacker on the research side, i'm not even on the experimenting side yet... i haven't smoked any flower since i first bought the tips.
