That sounds amazing @tobh next year im going to do an out one aswell but in a raised bed with olasticstarted plotting some outdoor patches. I've got a seasonal creek that runs through the property, so I think I'm going to set up the psilocybe cyanescens along that area as I'm planning on turning that into a riparian zone since it's already kinda boggy and will make for a nice little hidden water feature. well shaded and moist, so it should be conducive for a few varieties of fungi.
i also have some lions mane spawn, pink oyster spawn, morel spawn, and reishi spawn that i'll be putting out in various areas. Stamets has some really cool stuff to say about using fungi in permaculture, so i think I'm gonna try to leverage some of his teachings and see what I can do in terms of improving the quality of, well, everything about this property. certainly can't hurt as most of the varieties of fungi i intend to grow are native to the region.
i didn't snag pics, but we have a dead standing tree that was producing pearl oysters and some other little white caps mushrooms. I imagine that's probably a perennial thing with that tree. gonna suck to cut it down but it's a safety hazard at this point. That sounds amazing @tobh next year im going to do an out one aswell but in a raised bed with olastic

Im still waiting on pinning… i let the top dry to much so now im misting and paying more attention. Last week was super busy so I hardly even looked in on them
Yeah it isAnyone think that white stuff is the good mycellium?
Now if I properly sterile/pasteurize, not too much water, was more sterile...
Maybe......?
Would have to play around with the salt nutrients requirements....
(For the synthetic coco shrooms test/experiment)
You be bro… time for some air exchange. Try to keep the humidity up around 90%. You can fan 2-3 times a day by hand.@Aqua Man
Here's where we are currently with the first set of spores (creepers). Am I ready to switch to fruiting? It seems like I have a very nice white coating throughout the substrate.

Those are Creepers. With the GT and KSSS it was about 7-10 days with only a few days to pinning. With this PE it can be as much as 21 days to see pinning.
Once you see pinning you will have shrooms within a week.
What genetic is that again?
Yeah should be fast from what i see… within a few days pins. So im gonna guess harvestable within 2 weeksThose are Creepers.
Looks like you got it right on you're first try?@Aqua Man
