Canucks Cannabis Corner

Since I live about 42 km from the Canadian border, there is a burning question on my mind: If I drive into Canada, can I bring weed?

I'm sure you can't take weed the other direction, but would customs agents confiscate it at the border going into Canada?
Even if going from legal to legal I’d call them, discreetly. Not something I’d want an unofficial answer for.

Even then I’d just buy on the other side. 🤷‍♂️

I looked into it. If you declare your cannabis when you cross the border, it is confiscated unless you have an import license, which is only issued for limited reasons (and might never have been issued, to date).

If you don't declare your cannabis and it is found, you're arrested.

Obviously I'd buy on the other side. But just like going to another legal state, I bring my own when possible. Let's face it -- commercial growers cannot afford to grow a high quality product.

waiting for the market to reflect that and huge indoor corps shut down.

shit is ALL FUCKED.

but id hope to agree, and why is that?

attention to detail? just managing so many across the board quality will be hard to keep up?

they rush dry and cure? dont even cure? barely cure?

hmmmm

"they" make it fucking near impossible to get into the game.

whoever they is...

Ya. That doesn’t surprise me.

They sold Canadian Tire a few years back and they killed the CT money. Now it’s all about data collection. FT🖕

Princess Auto is becoming a better option.
I no longer go into Canadian tire stores 0r look at their flyers after being told to fk off during the first weeks of the big bad bug panic. I'd bought 4 tires to have installed and when I went to pick up my car all hell broke lose with employees freaking out I was inside their bug protection line..........After numerous calls & emails to head office about this I never recieved a call back from the manager of the store or anyone else......Never again will I spend money in one of their stores.

Im in the fuck crappy tire camp also… hate that place

Yall need to look into the dirty tactics most commercial ops are running/employing to speed up turnaround times. I'll even give you one little crumb:

Irradiated weed

According to media reports, it’s estimated that approximately 80% of licensed cultivators are using irradiation for sterilization in Canada.

Im good on the irradiated weed.... It just sounds kinda dangerous 😳 ☠️ 😅
it seems only dangerous for high fat foods, and theres no fat in cannabis.

BUT that was 5 seconds of reading, and there probably needs to be a lot more studies.

id say instead of radiation, why cant they UV the buds? for sterilization?

not like its still on the plant, they are irr (?)- -=- ???? radiating dried flower. irr ? rad

Really adds to the effects of the Bruce Banner I hear
I was reading here about a gnat/fly/bug killing/prevention called General Hydroponics Defguard Biofungicide........so I google and its not available in Canada it appears. Nothing close on Amson or a .ca search.....I'm good I don't have bugs TG but If ever I need bug prevention it was promoted as a good product...Are there any alternatives here that are any good?

No bro it won’t do anything for insects…. Its the same bacteria strain in hydrogaurd, great white, orca and southern ag fungicide. It will not kill insects of any kind. Hell its even safe for fish, pets and humans if accidentally consumed. 100% not a pesticide.

BTI is a different species of bacteria and the one you want for many bug species. It only is effective on larvae

I like sulfur and pyganic for bugs, seems to be very effective.

Honestly im not trying to shit on anyone but defgaurd absolutely will do nothing… fungas gnats feed on organic matter, decay, roots and many more things that are not fungus… sure they do feed on some fungi but just because its in their name does not mean thats all that the larvae eat…. If it was then we wouldn’t worry about them when we got them.

So this notion that you kill the fungus and it keeps the fungus gnats away or somehow kills them is just absolutely impossible.

If i had to guess why anyone feels they had success using this to treat them…. I would guess it was nothing more than a mistaken identification of what fixed the issue.

I hate making posts that so bluntly oppose others views but it’s important to set the record straight so people don’t get inaccurate information and try to treat with something that will not work

i feel that way now but as a kid…. No suck thing brotha
I remember my dad driving me to inch park in Hamilton Ontario where there was six outdoor rinks that we played in. At the end of every game or practice we were in charge of shoveling the rink. I remember a heated building where all the moms and dads waited

And getting hot chocolate to warm your hands.

Toes were freezing almost frostbit because skates were laced up so darn tight
Forgot about that!

And using that hook on a stick to tighten the laces so you didn’t ankle burn. 😝

Used to crack the whip with my daughter and send her shooting across the ice laughing and screaming.

Winter is great until the kids are grown. No one to make snow forts for anymore. 😔
