Here's a couple pics of my current garlic situation. Planted 125 bulbs in October and they seem to be doing well...

I started a couple bulbs worth but nothing on this scale.
I’m looking forward to harvesting sometime in july.
We planted some potatoes at the same time in the near vicinity, hoping they’ll be done at the same time, but I just wait for the tops to die off to start the search

I like garlic, but I totally thought garlic patch was a strain when I clicked on this cause I didn't look what subforum it was in lol 😅
I do plan on growing a strain with garlic in the name. It was some really good bud.
This is just garlic for eating as l love it on everything.

This is DFG garlic, now in brown paper bagd. Weed is sticky wickie AF. Now it smells exactly like school clay, very good memory. 140 grams from 5 plants, enough for 10 months.

I planted 18 cloves last october/november, and in spring the squirrels dug up all but 5. 2 of them were stunted, so i only got 3 bulbs. Drying now, but they do look and smell good. Will try again for next year using my anti critter doohicky.

Well, there was "Garlic Bud" around for many years.....

Otay, gotcha. Yes I cut the scapes also...
I have a bunch of elephants here too. I grow them for the flower. I will eat the scapes but the elephant garlic itself is just too bland. It does naturalize nicely though. Makes dynamite cut flowers that last a long time.
In regular garlic I grow, Music, Susan Delafield, Romanian Red, German Red and Bogatyr. If I could only grow one it would by the bogatyr. :)
