Yeah that shit went fast. I ended up paying. Did I miss the Dante's Gelato?

The site even crashed there for a second...
It's only those 3 cultivars tonight.
The s1, apple fritter, and oreoz. 50 packs in total and then they went to $25 a pack.
He's gonna do a full release later on down the road.

We’re releasing 20 packs per strain tonight. When the countdown hits zero, they go live. After the initial rush, you can buy them for $28 a pack. These are fresh, unnamed varieties. If you grab them as a tester, you commit to growing them and sharing your results. If you’d rather not commit, just wait and buy them after the initial release.

This is a big deal. Usually, we do one tester release a year. But it’s June, and this is already our second one. That’s how hard we've been working on these new strains. Once we sell around 50 packs of each variety, they’re gone until the full release later.

Pulled this☝🏻☝🏻 from the tester drop email

The 3 tester packs from last week are back up and dropping in price with the RA.

It doesn't that I know of, but s1 tells me they would be feminized. So they must have reversed the Dantes Inferno.
Dante's Inferno sold out before I could pull the trigger on it. My son has asked if I would grow the Animal Cookies S1. Has anyone here grown it yet? Is it prone to herm?

So, my animal cookies crosses hermed.
Idk if it was nutrient imbalance, environmental issues, or just flat out genetic.

But I'm seeing more and more herm reports popping up on the GPS discord so I'm not sure what the deal is.
May just be sensitive genetics idk.

GSC based strains seem to fall on the side of "difficult" to grow. I hesitate on the Animal Cookies because its been crossed with itself. I take it from your reference on the Dante's Inferno is an S1 cross always starts with a female plant manipulated chemically or otherwise to produce pollen for a "self crossed" offspring.

Wouldn't that mean if the Animal Cookies is herming due to genetics, that the S1 has potential to amplify this trait?

Other than my two TC fails I haven’t grown another GPS. PC had no issues with the three strains he tried iirc.

Hopefully PC will chime in. By PC, I assume you mean @Pipecarver.

I've got enough grows under my belt that I should be fine growing difficult strains. What I don't want is to choose strains that are genetically prone to herm. I have time on my side in choosing genetics ... I'm looking ahead to my winter grow where I will want seeds in hand by the 1st of November. Still plenty of time to make my final strain decisions.

Huge sale going on here too. Some packs only 10 and 20 dollars.
Overstock blowout sale.

I grew Lemon Sunrise a few years back. It's a tasty high THC strain. However, its only available in regular seeds. I usually use feminized seeds. In the last 5 yrs, only 2 strains were regular seeds.

I'll keep an eye on Irie's feminized line up for strains that sound appealing.

I can relate to this. It's why I avoid growing anything from Archive. I've seen others do great with it but once a hermie gets thru the door it's a scarlet letter for that breeder. Maybe undeserving but still. You just don't forget a crop ruined by that. Now when I want Strawberry Cough, I look for it in a dispo and refuse to grow it. I wont touch the Dutch Passion version.
Gorilla Glue #4 was born from hermie so maybe avoid those but it's a recessive trait and doesn't show for most but can show for some. I took the risk and have no issue with it but anything with GG#4 in my garden is watched closely.

My biggest issue are fakes and flavors of the month. I've all but given up on anything Runtz or Zkittles. All I've gotten from them are wonky plants never worth the time to grow. And I wont grow anything from a Dutch breeder because they copycat names and rebrand. They even had an OG Kush at a time when OGK was clone only and could only be found in the LA area. But I'm supposed to believe a Dutch breeder came over here, got clones, and worked them into an F6 seed bearing plants in only six months? :ROFLMAO:
GSC was once on that list but have since found some decent "cookie" strains worth having in the stash. But original GSC that came out of Colorado was less than impressive. I can say the same about Bruce Banner strains and Alaskan Thunderfuck.

DP strawberry cough was a huge disappointment this last run, runtz, zkittlez, gelatos, Bruce banner, and ATF can all get bent too.
I've run zkittlez and banner like 12 times each and never been happy with the outcome.
I don't like Zoap either

I tend to think most of those strains are fakes. DP is one of the biggest fakers out there and notorious for rebranding shit that doesn't sell into a new sexy name.
I feel like if you don't get Zkittles from that guy on Netflix Murder Mountain, it's probably a fake. :ROFLMAO:
Same for ATF...If you're not buying those from some mountain man or hunting guide in Alaska, I feel like it's a fake

I've had no problems with any so far. Everything has grown well and is good smoke. One Topanga cookies has real small buds for 4 weeks in flower but stretched out above my light and is starting ti fill in. The other wasn't as tall and will be a nice producer with a lot of tops in good range of the lights so they should fill in nicely over the next 5-6 weeks

Was gonna leave them a review of the Dip-n-Stix but it's not on their site anymore. Oh well.
