House Plant Are Cool Too

non-obligatory disclaimer: in the US, scoring poppy pods to harvest latex is a felony offense and will land you in jail for conspiracy to manufacture and/or manufacturing a controlled substance. growing poppies as an ornamental is legal. harvesting any parts of the plant for human consumption is not.
did moe add this? lol

obviously completely understandable. all in good theory and academia!

nope, i put that there. i don't know if/how well this site is going to be indexed on the search engines, so it's the least i can do for harm reduction. someone might stumble across that post and think it's harmless then get hemmed up on a severely punished, victimless crime. now if that happens, they can't say i didn't tell em so.
the passionflower is dope.
dude, they're super cool plants. pollinators love em. they get massive, too, like grape vines. i learned last year they are somewhat invasive here in the PNW, and will spawn new plants rhizomorphically via branches resting on the ground.

that's not a surprise at all. with the turkish reds and danish flags, i'll typically start out with two or three pods about the size of a half dollar coin. any more than that and one starts approaching danger territory.

ive Never tried it .scraping them that is and coming back later to collect them from the field.had plenty of them in tab form.have them here in purples, orange and the greys.those fuckers got me.sitting there yapping to peeps with your eyes shut .😂😂😂..was years ago but..very addictive shit.

yeah, when you start messing with opiates, you're playing with fire. it's crazy to me how human biology has evolved to have an almost symbiotic compatibility with opiates. the shit can grab a man by the balls and drag him into the depths of hell if he's not cautious.

Gotcha

Gotta get me a passion flower down the line.

I'd like to try grapes too.

they're pretty cool. if you try to germinate from seed, anticipate some frustration. i buried a dozen seeds and only ended up with one that germinated. thing is huge now, but it won't produce fruit because it's solo and some passionfruit varieties aren't self pollinating.

My view this late Monday morning.

Already used a pick and shovel to dig out a spot in the rocky soil for one outdoor plant this year. I’m battling west hell temps and humidity here so who knows, but I’m giving it a try.
Also finished up installing a wall mount AC in my shed, building a screen separation box to separate gravel and rock from the natural soil here.

I am tired.

Oh, those 14 giant rips from the pipe didn’t help 🤣

Those are called Dirt Lockers.

They are amazing, it was a SOB to install them, but I’m old and weak.
It’s one of the easiest ways to grow stuff of substance on a steep hillside.
That hill is 35 degrees, everything stayed in place during the torrential rains this year.
