Back when I grew outdoors in the 90's it was sold as soon as it was dry.
People said it was the best weed they smoked most of the time.
Fresh pot is better.
I think cure is important and much of what was once 'imported/smuggled' had time before hitting the streets to cure.
We may have become pot snobs over the last decade or two as our knowledge base has grown.
Airtight 62% stored in the dark is our latest attempt at fresh~!
Sometimes I think the internet invented things like curing and flushing. And yep I remember in the 90s fresh weed was best and most sought after. Old weed was considered last years harvest is this years trash...I post this as I toke on a 9 month old spliff.
I do believe in curing today and setting parameters for long term storage seeing weed like people do fine wine and cheese...I'd love to have a curing cave or cellar, but there's nothing wrong with fresh bud and sometimes, especially the skunk, fuel, chem, and gassy cuts I like more fresh than cured. But with sweet, fruity, floral I like a little time in cure
