SSHZ does Captain RedBeard's "Biscotti Blonde" and Lit Farms "All Starz"..........

Have you had any strain that actually grew tall in veg since you started using them lights I can't believe it I've grown a few different strains now with the same light and the veggie time is almost identical, I like it

Not many, but the ones that did all leaned heavily on the sativa side........ But I'm getting better at manipulating the light height to get more or less out of them. It's a pleasure not having to worry about plants getting too tall. I'm probably averaging 16-22 inches in height when flowering is initiated and then I top them to spread out the auxins (hormones) and keep them bushier. It makes for such an easier grow for me...........

I think this is my 13th (or 14th) crop under the same Gavita's, not one issue (and I'm constantly banging them). i have a big LED in storage from some one else just in case one of these were to go, and I haven't pulled it out of the box since I won it in a contest elsewhere.

That was a grow of mine from last year, so only pics from the grow diary........I think it was the Thug Roze grow, but I could be wrong. Basically one thorough defoliation at the switch to flowering, then some leaf picking moving forward with anything that's blocking buds underneath the canopy. Yield was probably my heaviest, coming in over 3 1/2 lbs per side.

As far as lollipopping and pruning lower branches, I've heard ppl say like any stem larger than a pencil lead they'll keep. Or whatever one may use to compare size for choosing what to keep and what to lop off, is that something u do or do u take say the lower 30%, or whatever, totally off?
I always end up w some branches once dry have a pea size bud on it when 6 wks prior I thought it had potential. And what I did remove may have ended up worthwhile, but we'll never know obviously. Just curious to your decision making method. From that pic, all your pics in all your grows for that matter, it just appears that there's little to no waste. No larf, no bs, just good dense flower.

I generally remove everything down low, except a developed branch here and there that already has height equal to most of the other branches. Remove this fluff helps what's left get larger too......so, 98% is removed. I also remove this crap to make final trimming easier, watering easier, less places for bugs and insects to hang out and better air circulation.

No question the Biscotti is looking better than the All Starz right now..........

These are so short, topping may not even be necessary. We'll see in 10 days or so........

All the seeds are from 1 plant.......I know which one, and I know the dried buds since they are so well done. All but 2 oz is gone of the Rainbow Marker, and no one has mentioned finding anything more than finding a single seed. No bud I've smoked had more than 1 seed in it. Seed(s) or not, 15 or 100- this pot is a step up over what I've been growing. I'll be doing Lit Farms stuff mixed in with some others moving forward.

the balls must of appeared very early on in flower to get developed seeds. I’ve found balls on Ethos planet of the grapes couple years ago very low on the plant but only produced half a dozen what I’ve found..I get the odd nanner very late in flower but plants were harvested and hairs near all brown anyway.anything that throws balls hasn’t been bred properly..another guy at the other place thought he had balls on his rainbow marker but didn’t grow it out long enough to say it was a def herm.that was this yr

So I topped all the Biscotti's today, along with 3–4 of the All Starz...........I need to bump up the ppm a bit, and keep the cal/mag higher for a while. I'll turn the lights back in 7-10 days I'm guessing. Lights are at about 25 inches above the canopy.

The All Starz from Lit Farms has been troublesome.........I need to get these all straightened out before heading into flowering. A couple waterings with a higher ppm should straighten things out some. The Biscotti Blonde has been a breeze, nice uniform plants.

I topped the Biscotti, and will do the All Starz tomorrow if time allows........

So, today I realized my pH monitor has not been working........long story, but it won't calibrate among other things. Another one is ordered, it will be here tomorrow. I've known for 3 days something was wrong, since I haven't been able to green up SOME of the plants, in both sides of the room. I've flushed some of the plants, just in case and there was no improvement. It's become obvious it's a pH issue, and i'm not locked in at 6.3. What I have been doing each day is foliar feeding at night with a cal/mag and veg nutrient mix and then washing it off each morning. This has helped some, but I need to get the pH locked in.

And, I am sending Grump all my Greenpoint seeds, well, most of them. Some packs are either 6/10/12/24 seeds so there's plenty of them and easily over 100 seeds. They have all been well cared for, in the fridge. BudBuilder's can use them for contests, auction or as they see fit. I have a lot of seeds, I'm slowly winding down and I'm not taking a chance of wasting my time with these. Because of the hermies, i just don't want to deal with it.

I just found a few more packs.....lol
