Thanks man, i appreciate the kind words!! this is actually my very first time trying this mainlining. up to this point i have been following Jonnyboi's lead exclusively. he did a great job documenting it, enough so that i just had to try it!!! here's a link to his thread..

he's still in flowering now but almost finished... freakin amazing!!
as for the orange pins, one of my newest hobbies is 3D printing. so i drew those stakes and printed them orange so they would be easy to see... i share all my designs in open source so if you or anyone you know has a printer they're free..

you should top after node three removing the fourth and above and also removing nodes one and two. node three then becomes the base of the legs.
being my first time i messed a couple up and also had too much stretch with a few and topped them above the second node and used them as the "hips" to the legs. I'm not sure if this will be a good idea or not. i'm still seeing some three bladed leaves down that low and not sure just how it will turn out. i have a feeling they will be fine, but again.. first time!
no, i'm not in final pot yet in fact these one gallons are what i started in!! i wish i would have been in bigger pots to start the shaping. i ran out of room on some of them. next time i might start them all in bigger pots even not sure yet. i saw my first root popping out the bottom of one today so i will transfer this into 3 gallon pots soon, with the orange pins included.
if these stay fairly short and i flower soon enough i will leave them in the 3 gallon till the end, if they start to grow bigger i might go to fives... not sure yet though. if i can fit four containers across in my cabinet i will flower twelve of them in three rows of four. if not then i will only flower nine of them and probably in my big 7 gallon pots where nine fit just tight. it all kind of depends on when i flower these and how big they are when i do.
you bet man, you for sure deserved the nomination... my only tough decision was to nominate your bud shot or the whole field of them!!!! we still got a few weeks for the contest so we'll have to get the whole grow in the contest... looks beautiful with them all so even!!
the words in your thread may say newbie, but your grow sure as hell isn't!!!!!
<<BUMP>>
i hope mine turns out even half that nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
