Thanks SS, you know the address.... dress warm, it's cold and raining here!!!!!!! 😆

Good work bro 💪

Thanks Jonnyboi!!!! it's been fun trying this, kinda nerving trying not to bend to far but still way more fun than stress!!!!

they're not going to be as perfect and even as yours but it's still great practice for the next time!

.

i'm going to have to upcan at some point, been watching for any roots starting to coil but so far so good with the smaller containers!!

Man yours look so much better than mine~!
You got it going on and they be rocking in no time.
It doesn't look like you will run out of head room either~!
Some of my new ones still don't have branches~!
Even the ones not mainlined.
Others I did not ML are getting tall for the tent.

Thanks man! ya know but once again it falls to the blind squirrel finding a nut!!! 😆 😆

they didn't look that tidy until just last night when i trimmed and shaped them. i thought if i didn't keep them shaped it would ruin the whole thing but it turns out it doesn't matter so much. all the tops i had previously tied down all turned up towards the light and started growing vertical again so quick and i thought letting them go for a week would make it difficult to get back to shape again but i was wrong it was actually easier to reshape once there was more growth on them. it kinda seems like once you commit to the mainline topping you get a little forgiveness on the timing of the training. i probably could have and maybe some of them should have waited an entire week or more longer to do the shaping.

i seem to always struggle with side branching, when i compare my plants to other people pics i always feel like the lower growth i have is next to nothing. but i think maybe just getting better overall might be helping with that. it seems like this batch does have better earlier side branches. i know for a fact this current veg round is my best growing ever mainlined or not. so i hoping this becomes a trend due to changes and learning and not just a one off...

you're gonna need to reinforce the seams on your tent if you wait any longer!! when i saw your video i had to do a double take, it got stuffed from the last time you showed!! i bet once you get them plants out of there and get some light all around them you will see better undergrowth. you're asking for a lot of light penetration and you can only get to 20-25% so i fell they will explode and take once they have some freedom!!! hopefully you can find a way to get them out in the open and still be able to finish off your zamal dreams with rushing them to harvest!

.
.
oooh they're reairing the NRA races from today!! i crashed out for a nap watching it earlier this afternoon!! hehehe i had some leftover chili for lunch then the rain came and i made the mistake of putting my feet up, next thing ya know i'm snoozing away!!!

Damn Stoneyluv your training here is beautiful! Where did ya get those orange u-shape pins? Those are slick….
what node are you topping at?
And lastly I’m guessing you plant right in final pot when you train like that?

Thanks for the post in the contest, wouldn’t have said it was anywhere close to those other pictures but I appreciate it 😊

Thanks man, i appreciate the kind words!! this is actually my very first time trying this mainlining. up to this point i have been following Jonnyboi's lead exclusively. he did a great job documenting it, enough so that i just had to try it!!! here's a link to his thread.. https://budbuilders.org/threads/new-critical-orange-punch-mainline-grow.712/

he's still in flowering now but almost finished... freakin amazing!!

as for the orange pins, one of my newest hobbies is 3D printing. so i drew those stakes and printed them orange so they would be easy to see... i share all my designs in open source so if you or anyone you know has a printer they're free..

what node are you topping at?

you should top after node three removing the fourth and above and also removing nodes one and two. node three then becomes the base of the legs.

being my first time i messed a couple up and also had too much stretch with a few and topped them above the second node and used them as the "hips" to the legs. I'm not sure if this will be a good idea or not. i'm still seeing some three bladed leaves down that low and not sure just how it will turn out. i have a feeling they will be fine, but again.. first time! 🙃

And lastly I’m guessing you plant right in final pot when you train like that?

no, i'm not in final pot yet in fact these one gallons are what i started in!! i wish i would have been in bigger pots to start the shaping. i ran out of room on some of them. next time i might start them all in bigger pots even not sure yet. i saw my first root popping out the bottom of one today so i will transfer this into 3 gallon pots soon, with the orange pins included.

if these stay fairly short and i flower soon enough i will leave them in the 3 gallon till the end, if they start to grow bigger i might go to fives... not sure yet though. if i can fit four containers across in my cabinet i will flower twelve of them in three rows of four. if not then i will only flower nine of them and probably in my big 7 gallon pots where nine fit just tight. it all kind of depends on when i flower these and how big they are when i do.

Thanks for the post in the contest, wouldn’t have said it was anywhere close to those other pictures but I appreciate it 😊

you bet man, you for sure deserved the nomination... my only tough decision was to nominate your bud shot or the whole field of them!!!! we still got a few weeks for the contest so we'll have to get the whole grow in the contest... looks beautiful with them all so even!!

the words in your thread may say newbie, but your grow sure as hell isn't!!!!!

Man your doing a shit hot job from what I can see, your not wrong though ! definitely squeaky bum time when bending them, ive learned the hard way and snapped plenty on previous grows and although they do recover too a point they never 100% recover and i can always tell in the end which ones have snapped as they are not as big, so I'm extra careful now, it is loads of fun though 100% agree

Thanks for answering those questions so thoroughly! Seems like a interesting challenge for a grow down the road.

I miss a lot on this site just do to life (3 kids and a ton of activities) haven’t made it to johnnys page but I’ll definitely check his grow out.

That open source 3d thing is very kind of you. Way to see an opening or need and fill it then share with Everyone when you just as easily open an Etsy shop and make money on it. Very kind.

As for messing stuff up trying new things it comes with the territory 🤷🏼‍♂️ If you look close in the pictures of under my table you’ll see two girls rocking sweet black electrical tape collars cause I split the shit out of them 🤣 that is an awful noise but they’re still pumping through so what’s a grower gonna do 🤷🏼‍♂️

I agree, I usually have 7-11 plants to hand water, feed, trim larf or water leaves. With just 3 plants after I chop 1 today is too easy to work. SS

i bet that almost feels like a vacation!!!

thanks man!! i don't have much experience training plants, especially not this aggressive!! i don't have any expectations at all with them so no matter what i get i'll be happy!

you'd never know it!!! i would have never even seen any tape at all if you didn't say something!! my last round i split one of mine during a defol and thought i lost some of the plant, by harvest i couldn't even tell which one it was!!! amazing just how resilient plants are!!!

Didn't find time to Chop the Frosted Skywalker so today she will be hung up to Dry! Cheers Stoney

i'll be right behind ya... looking to harvest in a few days. last night i cleaned out my drying cabinet and made sure everything was ready. i haven't used it since august!

soon.......

I'm going to chop them and hang tomorrow night right after i get my new fridge, mines been on the fritz and only been getting down to 46-50 so i bought a new one and it will be here tomorrow. i didn't want to chop and then by chance the delivery guy asks if i want help getting it in and the place reeks so i'll wait one more day... and of coarse the chop will happen after i go to the grocery store and buy new milk, salad dressing, mayo, and others...

cheese don't go bad right? it's either moldy or not, yeah? i think so??? at least my freezer still works because i didn't have enough room to keep everything froze!!!!

mainliners are still kickin... going to upcan very soon and moved over to the other cabinet soon!!! gonna start the soft flip this weekend and take a couple hours out...

Damn they look good!!
Do you cut back your nitrogen during flowering?
Do you feed till the end or tapper off?

Damn they look good!!
Do you cut back your nitrogen during flowering?
Do you feed till the end or tapper off?

thanks man,

yea i cut back on nitrogen from the bloom nutes. i'm using COM stonington blend soil which is .5-.34-.12 and i add quite a bit of crab and lobster shell with an npk of 5-3-0 if and when i use a veg nutes it is 6-3-3

once near flower i start with bloom nutes with an npk of 2-5-5 and a sugar carb load of 0-0-2 once i'm in late flowering and only have a two or three weeks left i use a finisher nutrient of 1-5-7 and i will feed that rate right up to harvest. it's all organic and living soil so my plants get food till the minute they're chopped. the four that i'm harvesting now did not get any liquids for the past two days, not to taper off but just to keep water weight down so drying goes quicker.

I've been using mostly all greengro's nutes this round and really like them. a little goes a long way so i'll be using them for quite a few future grows.

I like the looks of that Sticky Icky a ton man!!

I gotta ask though...You gotta permit for all that construction? 🙃Man that's a lot of scaffolding! Can't wait to see the towers of colas those make!

IDK about you but we're hell on fridges here. Seems about every 5-7 years we need a new one. Remodeled our kitchen in 2006 and already on the 3rd one since then. Current one is real nice and holding up well but we did break the lid on it's big bottom drawer and I see the door seal is splitting. Ice maker can be bitchy too so I'm sure in the next year or two it will also need to be replaced. Fuckers don't come cheap either so you got a helluva deal!

man the smell on that sticky icky is so loud, i can't wait to try her out!!!! the name always reminds me of the one you told me about, sticky ricky.. the ricky waters strain!!

if there one thing good about livin back in the sticks, you never need to get a permit!!!! hahaha i'm really pumped for these man, i think i should try a net like you use with them, maybe even a full on scrog... they always seem to take a bit of learning curve though, i don't see much beginners luck with nets. i might have to do more research to help my chances if i go that route.

i'm glad i waited a day on the chop, the delivery guys brought my new fridge right in the kitchen!!! my drying cabinet is definitely within a nose shot of the there!!!

i can't believe you're on your third since your remodel. don't feel that long, time freakin flies man!!! i guess i don't feel so bad now cuz mine lasted almost nine years just a weeks shy of nine!!!

so we're all shiny and clean again...

best part is it has the super skinny shelf that's perfect for hersheys and ganja drinks!!!!!!

i scored a cheap pack of banana punch on daylight savings night.. the countdown timer was messed up and only said zeros but if you hit refresh every ten minutes the price would drop.. i think people wern't trying enough because the three strains they had were cheap all night!!

I thought it was decent, though I was really stoned on some heavy indica and prolly nodded off through part of it cause I don't remember that part about him singing on stage, or my kids were screaming and i had to deal with them 🤣🤣

Man i know how that goes, did a "quick" pad slap the other day on the front pads. Well, that "quick" pad slap turned into 3 frozen caliper bracket slide pins and a trip to the salvage yard for use mounting brackets and all the hardware cause I wasn't getting all new calipers just for the pins when I just got all new breaks like 10 months ago. Napa was almost 400 for calipers and brackets, I got just brackets with hardware for 75 bucks!
Support your local salvage yard lol 😆

yeah it didn't turn out so well... still leaks.. wasn't the valve like i thought it was a pair of threaded fittings.. i tried tape and liquid teflon and neither worked.. i ended up buying all new fittings and i will try again on friday!!

but i could agree more with junk yards man!! i've saved so many thousands of dollars in my life!! i like the "u pull it" places the best!!

a two pack?!?!?!!? NICE!!!!!

.
.

so after i failed fixing my leak again i needed something to mellow me out so nothing like some good gardening to set my mind right!!!

i wanted to get a good photo of each one but the stalks were just a little to wimpy and they mostly looked like this when i took them out...

001.JPG

Sticky Icky was strong enough to hold herself up...

005.JPG

so i took down four of them, and left four in flower... i moved them around and lowered the light a little...

006.JPG010.JPG

roots weren't bad at all... it was a bit of overkill o the container size but i'm going to reuse this soil again for another round...

it's pretty stinky around here today!!!!

That's what I call falling off the table ripe. 😋

Yeah that Banana Punch caught me by surprise. First I didn't even realize they had it then realized again it was one they did have a while back but it went away until now.
I got the RA email and didn't really watch it intently and figured at some point I'd wander in and get it cheap but people were buying it in the $40 ranges all day yesterday. Then I was at work and gave it one last attempt and picked it off in the high $20. Since they had that "we don't know when it will be back" note on the page I hit two on quantity and called it a day.
It did pretty much lock in an all banana grow for my next run. That BP, Banana Twerpz, Ript Banana, and my new Haunted Banana will be the roster.

I installed my DIY trellis net and ended up not needing it this grow but they do help a ton with soft branching that can flop like that.
IDK if mine was due to no veg or not pruning...I'm leaning toward not pruning, but the stalks have held firm and I have it windy AF in the room with nothing falling over. And some of those colas are weighty AF too!
SCROG just isn't for me but dude you have the hemp wick which makes for awesome trellis net especially being waxed.
All I did for mine was run the wick around the perimeter then tied in cross strings where I thought I'd need them most which was on anything stretching.
I really like it because it's not the full net grid, no particulates come off it like with polyester trellis netting, and bonus... you can use it after the grow to light your doobs!

I had to giggle at your drink shelf too. Looks exactly like mine! I'm kinda scared of those fuckers so they just sit there like little demons ready to wreck my day.🫠
I drank one of those flag bottles after a football game this season and was so tore up. Everybody else was sipping beers and they knew I was fucked up on something but also knew I wasn't drunk. My wife was telling me when I was talking to people I looked something like this

have an awesome weekend everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That Dangerfield meme reminds me of the part in Caddyshack when he cuts in on Ted Knight dancing with his wife and tells her "Hey there. How'd you like to make $20 the hard way?"

Loved Rodney Dangerfield.
