Stoney's Luv Shack

Biggest I ran was an o72 stil 38 inch bar fkg dinosaur....

we used to have this antique mcculloch back in day that was so heavy it had an actual foot plate on top to stand on while ya started it!!! it would be a completely useless in todays age back in the 70's it was a beast!!!!!

Just catching up. Happy (late) Birthday!

I just have a little 029 for only occasional use. It starts easy, but I damn sure better not let it run out of gas. After running it empty, it won't start again until after it cools down. Now, if I shut it off and refill before it runs empty, it fires right up 🤷‍♂️

Thanks my man!!!!!! it was a great weekend.. i wish it wasn't over.. went to fast though!! i might, just maybe, could have friday off for a three day weekend!! if i turn the phone off i know for a fact i would have off friday!!!! hehehe

I’ve got a 22”(?) Poulan Pro. Piece of crap that runs the chain as soon as you start it. 😳

I’ll use one of my battery skill saws on most younger trees that pop up each year, reciprocating saws don’t do well until the trees big enough not to move.

hahaha i think i might have the same saw!!!! hahaha seriously i'll have to go out there and take a pic.. i got it from a guy i did work for a few years ago. he paid me some money and some tools.. i figured why not, it had a really nice case. i brought it home and it worked once for about ten minutes and never started again!! i actually think it's just bad fuel line but i never messed with it, still use the case for another saw all the time though!!!! that case sits perfect on my atv and thats almost a must have when ya live on a country road!!!!!!

seedlings are doing fine.. no issues, airpots dry out fast.. i really should put my humidifier in here to help hold more moisture. normall i would let the other containers get down to 23-25$ moisture rating before watering and these airpots i've been keeping them at like 38%.
if i let them get to 34% the soil around the edges starts to dry out and that where the problems start with airpots. so i've been trying to keep them from going any dryer than 34%

this is a 34% moisture pot..

and this is what a 37% looks like..

I wasn't old enough to run it, but spent plenty of time dragging limbs, loading, unloading and stacking firewood my dad cut with one of those heavy yellow beasts. It seemed like all of my friend's dads had that same saw. They were everywhere. I don't know why I remember this little detail, but I can still see a leather patch my dad epoxied on the toe of his boot where he managed to nick it with that saw.

Yep. Eers fans own that song. I also love singing that wonderful refrain that Neil Diamond failed to include in the chorus to Sweet Caroline.

You should tell your seedling army not to point their bazookas at anything they don't intend to kill.

i'm pretty sure it was on one of those old yellow saws where my dad first played the game with me "here, hold this wire" !!! hahaha for my entire life the only way my dad ever knew if an engine had spark was from me!!!!! wtf?!?! no wonder i became an electrician!!! haha

it wasn't until my early teens till i was like hey, ya know there's better ways to do this??!! he says yeah i know, but this way is more fun!! i miss him a lot, sure wish he was still alive.

Hope you get the day off.

well i kinda talked myself into redoing something quick.. last week i was paid by an HOA to clean and coat all their copper mailboxes, a few of them also required reshaping and soldering tears (Steamroller would have been proud of my craftmanship on those!!) but part of the cleaning involved wiping them all down with wd40. i didn't realize it was going to pour rain all night long right after i did them last week. i think it washed it all off before it had a chance to soak in. i was there a couple times this week and they didn't look any better than what they did..

so i'm going to cruise through and wipe down 27 mailboxes with a rag and my day is complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so that kinda counts as a day off...

that song is so popular at so many schools, for a few years now every time i hear it all i can think about is the Caroline Found story.. it's a good watch if you've never seen it...

no friendly fire!!!!!

symbiotic though how both my containers and my sensors have nipples!!!!
