Stoney's Luv Shack

Yeah firm and slimy like a jello shot was what i got, probably need to try again, now that i have rosin press. Can't i use rosin to make concentrates? I need to look into it but haven't yet, also I've never made a tincture, probably should have used that instead of infused oil 🤦‍♂️

Please keep me updated if you get it to work out!! Usually i just make chocolates or hard candy which isn't a cake walk either lol, but at least i got those two down to a science

you can definitely use squish to make a tincture from. i assume the tincture would be the last thing added to the mixture and left hot enough to evaporate all the ethanol.

is all agar agar the same? or are there variations of it?

hey guys i'm looking for a little help here. some of my plants are starting to have an issue.. mostly the privileged baddies but not exclusively. they've been in this soil for almost two weeks now and only had water.

needs some K or Mg maybe? you guys think i should feed them a little?

I would guess calcium deficiency on the speckled one and maybe potassium on the other.

Just a guess.

it came on slow, not all at once. it's why i'm thinking a deficiency. a few days ago i thought it bugs, after a quick heart attack i realized it wasn't. but now today it's worse.

maybe i should brew up some tea tonight...

i put all this in the brewer for tomorrows feed...

Nice! I'm going to have to look up Fertile Urchin.

I don't know what to think of mycorrhizae in teas. I haven't been adding it to my teas, because I read somewhere that it doesn't do well in teas. Then I started adding some Recharge, this year. My teas seem to get ready quicker since adding that in and one of the ingredients is mycorrhizae.

What have you learned about it? You must see something good to be using it. Makes me wonder if I should add some in to the mix on top of whatever amount is in the Recharge.

that sea urchin is a great source for calcium.. lasts quite a long time. smells like sea pussy!!! hahaha

i'm a big fan of adding the great white in the tea.. i know i did it right when the next day i see lots of microbial activity!!!

I got this too 😞, i got behind on my change schedule and realized i need to bump up the cal mag more next time at flip, only One plant out of the 2 doing this for me, must have higher needs then the other one, so cool how different strains need a little tweak.

Next grow will be a mono grow, or whatever it's called when they are the same strain, for me for sure

very cool that you also think it's cal or mag. if it ends up improving after this bump then i'm never gonna use this new crab meal again i might have to go back to new pricy neptunes again. since i skimp on new soil i can't be skimping on additives and nutes!

i'm gonna feed them in a few minutes here and see how they look tomorrow. they don't look any worse right now so thats a good thing!

I did a brief look around on the Internet, last night. I found quite a bit of info or research pointing to sea urchin's value to horticulture. It was a brief poke around the Web, but I didn't see any products using with sea urchin waste or parts in the mix pop up. I only found the brand you shared in one eBay shop. Good chance I missed something, but I wasn't finding anything the easy way. What I did read sounded great. Seems to be great for balancing pH, in addition to the nutrient value. I'm a real sucker for trying stuff thats "new to me". So, I loved seeing it in your photo.

Awesome! That photo says it all. Once again, I've fallen victim to bad info off of the Internet. This may very well be the ingredient that makes the Recharge work so well for me.

My outdoor plants got some tea Saturday and the veggies and flowers got it this evening. I'm going to have to set up a bigger brewer for outdoors next year. I think the bucket I use now is 7 gallons. I could easily make use of 20-30 gallons. This might disgust you, but I could even see going bigger and getting one of those sprayers that you tow behind your mower to spray the grass. That would surely require more mowing 🤪

i got mine from ebay the last time too... i remember it was tough to find. Bandit turned me onto it years ago. i bought it for the same reason, ooh i don't have that i gotta try it!!! hahaha

now why would you wanna go and do that?!?! hahaha

my local hydro shop has a big vortex brewer, prolly holds 50 gallons.. the dude that owns it is way cool too. if ya take your own jugs he gives ya all the tea ya want for free!!!!

I'm jealous of both of ya'll, lol. I need to get into the gummy making game.

back when we made jello shots with booze we would always use twice the jello and no water all booze. i think i wanna try that with the gummies. no unflavored gelatin, just two packs of jello and no water just infused oil. i'll let y'all know if it actually works. from what i tested the little dots i made are about 25mg's each. i'd like them to be 100mg's each like the other gummies i buy...

the ecowitt sensors seem to working great. put a battery in them and they auto connect. then calibrate them both dry and fully soaked in water and that's it!!

i put all 12 in plants and we'll see how they work.

i really like the layout, shows me all 12 sensors at one time. you can set alarms, notifications and stuff. full graphs for everything. you can rename them but i just put a label on them from 1 to 12.

i got these here coming tomorrow..

check this stuff out.. you can make your own molds!! 3d print a BB logo and make bud builder gummy molds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so it didn't take me long at all to know that i like the ecowitt soil moisture sensors. so much so that i went ahead and bought the last four i needed to have all my pots monitored... something else i didn't mention, not that they're really needed but the instruction book is actually written very well and explains everything about them. large print and easy to comprehend too. one other tip, a smart device is needed to set the calibration and other options. the web page from a browser will not. and the firmware also must be done from a smart device. without the firmware upgrade it will only work with 8 sensors. once upgraded it reads all 16.

Yeah, man! That's some cool stuff. I think proper watering may be more of a struggle for me to get grasp of than the more foreign stuff (to me as a new grower) like lights, nutrients and pest/disease prevention. I'm sure I'm not the only one following to see where you land on this. There may be other threads covering this, already. If there are, it's still nice to follow along in real time. Entertain and educate me, lol.

i'm fairly new to hand watering myself. for the longest time i grew a bucket within a bucket and just poured water in till it was full once every five-six days. so growing in conventional containers and watering every few days is new to me and i'll admit i've made mistakes. and still am making mistakes according to these new gadgets.. i believe right now they know more than i do so i'll take their advice!! hehehe

all 16 connected, calibrated and reporting results... also reports back battery strength for each sensor, room pressure, temp, and rh...

i can now monitor this precious cargo!!!!

in the beginning of week three of 12/12.. i'm going to trim out the lower sucker growth this weekend...

Are the temperature and RH probes separate from the soil probes? Or, are they all built into one probe? Just curious if each soil sensor also reads temps and RH, so you can weed out any one-offs that are drifting and need calibration.

Your plants look great. Gotta love that healthy shade of green.

hoping to keep em that way!!!!!!!!

it just reads the temp and rh from a small probe on a wire, just one from the small usb controller...

made some funny gummies... way more potent this time. i triple ran the oil in the magic butter machine using about 5oz each time. so what i ended up with was 14oz of oil that is approximately 1 dry oz of weed to 1 liquid oz of oil. this is the potency i was looking for!!!!!

some are normal size and some are giant killers.. having a really nice 22 hour buzz on one giant killer!! went to sleep high, woke up high, and still truckin now!!!

sugar free this time... got a six month a1c checkup next week so i wanna be a good boy!

2026 schedule drop today!!! ;rockb

COTA's back and Texas moved to May. Trying to go to both next year ;roc
Still not sure about SD. I want to but it will just be a SVG clinic on how to win so IDK.

How's the search going for the new family member?
We have cats and dogs and can't really see life without them. Dogs are just hilarious and my cats are super weird but also stoners and super chill. Never thought I'd be a cat guy after bad past experiences but this damn tuxedo and his runty sister plus 1 have been awesome.

got a nice bonus on powerball today!

the other night i took out all the plants and trimmed up the under growth, topped them all off with soil and more importantly positioned all the moisture sensors equally and all the same depth.

maybe two dogs now... theres a jack russell mix puppy there that just melts my heart bro!!!

still looking and still have to pick up a few things first. but we're hoping soon..

Plants sure are looking happy and healthy!
Feeling good about the moisture sensors and being able to help you out dialing in the watering? Notice any oddballs not taking up water or heavy drinkers? That seems like a cool thing to track.

Jacks are nutty dogs man haha! Hilarious little guys who get so proud when they go on walks. Good watch dogs and diggers too! Got a critter under a deck? Send a Jack after it and no more critter!
We used to have a neighbor with a little jack and he was adorable. Always wanted to dig under his fence to come over and play with our dogs.

Man, yeah...I highly recommend going to the All Star race! We had such a good time at the last one at Texas and is still one of my favorite times at a track. It was at night so it was that much more fun watching the cars under the lights.

I gotta say man...North Wilksboro is calling more than San Diego right now.
The time window lines up perfect for next years vacation and that would be a true racing vacation going to North Cackalacki. We could visit the HoF, visit race teams at the shops, and catch a race! That sounds like all kinds of fun and I know San Diego could be fun, worth it for the fish tacos alone, but damn a true racing themed vacation is kinda bucket list type shit! An RV and bringing the dogs would make it even better.
IDK if NC is legal with weed or not yet. probably not but shit that don't matter when it's the home of NASCAR!

Up to 8,900 something in points today thanks to that powerball. Got 45 off it in early July but yeah, 10 every other time.
Looks like another bracket for the playoff will start in a few days as well. Maybe another 150 from that?
Nice call with the #3 in the pool Fucker. I'm inching up to you but it's tight and getting tighter! I really like my picks from here on out though with Larson as my bag man at the end hahaha...

It's funny man but racing is helping my vision.
Over the Summer I broke down finally and got my eyes checked. Pretty much confirmed I need to jump from readers to prescription so I've done that.
Insurance and Costco has been incredible for it. But not for prescription sunglasses. There's limits with my insurance so I've used it for a really baddass pair with the transition lenses and all the bells and whistles one could want in glasses since insurance covered like 60% of the bill.
I still wanted a really good pair of sunglasses but will use my insurance for a backup pair of regular when I can use it again in September so if I go the insurance route, I wont be able to get the sunglasses until September 2026.
So since I've been watching racing and tuning into sponsor products, I've gotten a couple pairs of Shady Rays for my wife and I. They're freaking awesome shades and right there with Oakley or Rayban IMO but a fraction of what those cost.
Couple weeks ago SR sends me a coupon for 30% off and I was like holy crap if this works for scripts, I'm in! It worked and now Saturday my prescription sunglasses will be here.
If it wasn't for racing I'd never know about SR sunglasses and now that I do, they're my go-to choice for my eyes. Usually sponsor products are a bit on the wonky side but Shady Rays has been every bit of outstanding service and product.

Plants sure are looking happy and healthy!

some are looking great a couple are still being irritable and not playing nice!! i think my soil is off kilter man.. i think i might have fucked something up along the way on the rebuilding.. my guess is too much bone meal.

i really need to ditch this stuff after this grow and start fresh again... just in time too, i was about to spend $200 in soil...

i am luving those sensors!!! not a single hink or anything, been working great. i went ahead and typed in all the plant names and if i shrink my browser up a little i can male it the exact same layout as my plants!!

if you use it on a smart device you can even use emogis in the name.. i put little lobsters in!! hahahaha

i've had a couple terrier mixes growing up and they were all nutty!!! hahaha smart dogs though too!!!

so happy sad news he was adopted by someone else. happy that he has a home and sad it's not the luv shack!! i was more drawn to him than he was to us anyway. and we kinda want a female. not set in stone or anything but if we have the choice we'd like a female.

i've been close to seeing an all star race twice but couldn't pull off the extra vacation time. i saw the coke 600 twice and spent the week there in concord.

so much fun man, they used t shut down parts of the city and was filled with race fans!! even all the local garages would be open with teams hanging out and cars to look at. vendors and food and drinks everywhere!! just a big block party on every street. every street was like 6th street in Austin, but with race fans!!!!

the one time we left a couple days early with full intentions on seeing the all star and our car broke down on the way and never made it. i think that was in 95, maybe 96 i'd have to look at he tickets..

i know the all star race isn't nearly what it used to be but it would still be a nascar bucket list for me to check off.

i'll have to sign up for that playoff rewards.. just got my tuesday trivia points now.

16 teams... win and get in!!!!! darlington is no slouch of a track.. great place to start out the post season!!!!!!!!!!!

i've looked at them a couple times. and yep, because of nascar! i'm horrible on shades bro. i break them constantly... i try to keep them under $7 a pair. wen i find a pair i like i buy two or three and that normally lasts me a year.

i used to buy gargoyles a lot when i was young, they were always my favorite!! i don't know if they even make shades anymore or not..

they would sell the oakly knockoffs in the markets over in china and i would bring home like fifty pair of shades for my friend. you could buy them for like ten or twenty cents a pair there!!!

i have prescription glasses but i rarely wear them, maybe an hour or two a week. i've been wearing contacts since i was a teenager so i'm just used to them taking them out every night and putting them back in every morning. it just feels normal to me wearing them.

i'd sure like to get LASIK one day though..

.

got my nissan inspected for the year... last week i took a wheel off to look at the pads and noticed my one front sway bar link was broke.. never even knew it. totally overrated on that vehicle. put a new one on and still couldn't feel a difference.

took it to my favorite garage and he didn't even look at it. never even beeped the horn or anything.. he pulled it into the garage bay and never even lifted it up, just went in the office for a few minutes and came out with stickers!! my emissions are exempt for me, anything under 5k miles or something doesn't need em.

i got 119k on the xterra now... it's 22 years old this year, it should last another 22 if i take care of it. technically i could get antique plates for it and never need inspection again. our jeep too. thats a 97 and in better condition than the nissan so i just can't get rid of either one.. what am i gonna get some new POS thats built to last five years and then throw away, fuck that!

Man i gotta thank you for opening up my eyes with the google search.. last night i put the code in and turned it on. so search is kinda working again, i'm having a hard time with the title only option working well but i think it's because our add on enhanced search feature is not working with google. i need to play around with it more and see what i can find. i'm going to have a convo with MoeRed soon and work out some details.

but thanks for getting me on the correct path. i'm gonna reach out off line here to you and see if we can't work something out.

.

ahhhhh yeah... they brought it a day early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gettin ready for the next round..... looks like new labels?? something looks different..
