man i'll help you out with the fantasy... i know everything about it and have lived fantasy games for years before. i've won more fantasy football leagues than anybody i know. i've been a commissioner of nfl and nascar leagues and have been hosting nascar games back when it was real fantasy!!! not like this sht it is now where everybody gets a trophy kind of fantasy. once it started gaining traction all the people that suck at it changed the rules to make it easy.

The only reason I can think of why I got that 500 was because Byron was both my #1 driver and on my team picked for Daytona.
If that keeps up for the whole ten weeks of fantasy needed to max out on all fantasy reward points then that means 5 chances every race to pick a winner and get 500 points for doing it on top of check in and streak points.

Weather is being an asshole about it being so cold but I'm clearing space for a 55"x28" grow tent I'll build out into an extraction lab, getting everything together in one space .
So yeah...toys. And now I need a toy box




My heater thermostat was been way off lately. Ran the room up to 98 and my plants got a little heat damage.
Really wish this weather would quit being such a dick so I could turn off the heater.
It can be so nice for like a week then two days of fucking Santa Claus weather bullshit.
I swear...one more low 20s day I'm gonna go burn a couch and start a dumpster fire to warm shit up around here.





I'm thinking of turning on the big light and spreading the plants out then flipping them while still in airpots. I wanna flip in the next day or two.
When sex shows then I'll upcan. Just trying to cut down on labor and soil when it comes to culling males. Been busy AF and don't wanna watse time and energy on upcanning males only to dump them later and salvage the soil.

Been a struggle for the most part after the aero malfunction. Good days and bad days slowing it all down but I think better days are coming after the upcan.
Have no idea what I have as far as strains go. I have them separated and grouped by color so like I know all blue plants are the same strain but IDK what blue is. If I had to guess, I have a hybrid mix with several indicas and there's five different strains.

at any time during the race we can switch out that garage driver for one that is active on our team. i assume there is a cut off time like maybe 50 laps to go or something you can't change anymore... i just assume because that rule would make sense. i don't really know for sure. i'm gonna pay attention to it more this week and see what it is, or i could ust read the rules... nah!!!! hahaha

so you want your benched driver to be an anchor, a solid rock that always seems t do good and can save your week.

BUT if we only get the small points for starting and big points for winning, it only makes sense for us to swing for the fences each week and don't worry about fantasy points, we're more into it for the reward points.

Since I rarely get to watch live I'll kinda back burner the garage driver. This week I have Chastain in that spot lol.
I guess those matchup picks are just fantasy bonus things. I got all but one of those last week correct.
Yeah so that's exactly what I was thinking with the fantasy in playing it for reward points and going for a winner every week.
With some of these tracks, loading up on HMS and JGR drivers seems like an ez win given the choice of 5 drivers. There's gonna be a stretch here where either Larson or Hamlin are gonna get theirs so I might have those two at least every week after COTA.

The powerball is new this year. It pops up every Wednesday on your rewards dashboard where the trivia is usually at. You click it and it opens and new window to click and play then it records your points. The first week it only gave me 10 but yesterday is gave me 60 points.

The pool livens up this week! Got ourselves a good old fashioned knife fight at the top with the Blaney and Busch picks!
Like I want Blaney in the wall early but he's also on my fantasy team! So is Busch though too. I'm thinking...Busch FTW, Blaney and Elliott into the wall or get blown motors. I'm cool with either hahahaha!!! Bell and Logano can also have some bad days come Sunday and I'll be very happy.

I gotta say too man...That fucking Kyle Busch is growing on me. From being chased by the fire truck while running in reverse at Texas, to "I suck just as bad as you" with Stenhouse, and now "I was the fastest car on the way to the wreck" was classic. Almost every week he makes me laugh and it's getting harder to hate on him. I think losing might've humbled the man.
Logano though, not so much. Trying to blame that whole wreck on Stenhouse when they both were at fault was just classic dooshy Logano.

Looked at kits for weeks, all of em.
Decided on SF....emailed them give em the WTF..20 bucks back "IF" i lefted a "positive " review.
Asked for a 20$ code for that light i screenshot and posted here.
I told em I'd buy the other sf1000 for just under a hundy.
This is when im pretty sure I'm dealing with a bot. Everything email wise has been in the early hours of the morning. 1-3 am. Email to me yesterday pretty much same.
I sent @SPIDER FARMER the screenshot of the Acinfinity light I bought.
Lmao last night aci had sent the tracking# and I let SF know that as well.

If I was to tier a handful of light brands out there I'd say SF, Viperspectra, and Vivosun are bottom shelf C or lower choices.

Mars Hydro and AC Infinity are middle shelf with some B+ A- grow lights.

HLG, CLW, Gavita, Illuminar, Growers Choice, Phlizon, Fluence and a handful of others are all gonna be top shelf with some having features other lights don't offer.

The good thing about the cold snap is it resets the button on my weed control killing all the early sprouts and giving me a new window to put down gluten. I'd just also like to get to work on redoing my carport space.

Prepping to flip on Sunday. Been kinda waiting for them to kick it in gear and now they are.
Flipping in airpots will have me watering daily or at least every other day. Runts maybe an xtra day.
Sunday eve lights will go out after being on for 11:40 then come back on Tuesday morning. See if that long dark into flip might get males showing right away.

Good response to the Spectramax coming on and being opened up yesterday.
Lights are up high and at 50% and tables are at max height for now

Both of mine are 2009s and still going like new. The AK is a wall mount in my room minus the grills and the Dayton is what I rely on up in the crawlspace.
But in 2025...very spendy options. A Dayton floor fan can run up to around $300 and an AK wall mount around $60+. However you do get fans that can last a generation or longer.

Moral of this story is all the gear I've been hoarding and storing for years is near worthless today.
Like 3-4 mag ballasts, reflectors, lamps, and old analog electronics were just hauled off and sent to recycle today. Cleared out my shed and carport.
Kept all the sheets of hammered aluminum since one day I will build that solar oven with them.

I also have a few inline fans I didn't send to scrap so if interested, just inquire.
Also some power snips. Feels good to declutter all my grow shit though. I probably coulda built an indoor growers museum with all the shit I've purged in recent days.

New business:
Had my first visit with the doctor yesterday. Doing well and will stay on the meds until Spring when I go and get another scan done.
Have to go ahead and make the big change in my diet going mostly vegan. I'd say I'm at about 75% vegetarian.
No dairy anymore except for yogurt so will be using milk substitutes for things like cereal. Skinless chicken 1x a week, fish 3x a week and the rest vegan. No sugar or processed foods anymore.
I can cheat every now and then but need to stay on that diet and see where it goes.
Tried "oatmilk" today. It sucks. Will be okay in cereal but that's it.
Also tried some plant based cheese. Might be an aquired taste IDK. One was weird while the other was grilled cheese sandwich capable.
I can still BBQ but will do smoked turkey or salmon while freshining up on my grillin' skills on things like veggies and chicken.
As of Monday I'm officially going on the Mediterranean Diet.

The health issues have me way behind on the new Spring garden as Spring rolls in with warm temps.
I've ordered my seeds from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange who specialize in genetics suitable for growing in the South.
Trying to grow a crop to fill the heart healthy recipes as well lower grocery costs so here's what's coming....

CoM Stonington is out and Roots Greenfields is in.
I'm not seeing the price I want on the Stonington anymore and the Roots is only $30/bag and pretty much the same ingredients but less of it so more compost teas and other liquid goodies will be needed which I already have. Saved almost $100 on my bulk order of soils with that.

Aero had some sort of malfunction with the timer or the pump for a day or two. Damn near killed all my plants.
It's been about 4 days or so since the fail.
Was at a fork in the road as far as what to do and decided I'd do it and give them a week. If they recover, go forward. If they fail, start over.

I gotta say too man...That fucking Kyle Busch is growing on me. From being chased by the fire truck while running in reverse at Texas, to "I suck just as bad as you" with Stenhouse, and now "I was the fastest car on the way to the wreck" was classic. Almost every week he makes me laugh and it's getting harder to hate on him. I think losing might've humbled the man.
Logano though, not so much. Trying to blame that whole wreck on Stenhouse when they both were at fault was just classic dooshy Logano.

Weather should be outstanding, sunny w/ clouds, hi of 79 Saturday and then Sunday is more of the same with possibilities of light spotty rains thru the day.

I flipped my plants a day early so they went dark Saturday night then got lit up this morning at 9am with lights turned up to 75%

Here they were right before going dark for about 30 hours








Sculpted most into having 4 main heads except for two I just topped since they didn't really allow for a spiral staircase structure.








And here they are after the 30 hours of darkness. Hoping to start seeing males at least by Friday

That's right you weren't here yet when I built the tables.
These were something that happened when I changed to a larger light fix mounted to the rafters and wanting to grow sativas and indicas side by side.
These tables and minimal veg times are pretty much how I adapted and changed my growing game in the last year or so to accommodate what I wanted out of this grow room.
The foundations are two electric hydraulic lifts.
The table tops are custom jobs made to fit the lifts and the trays then yeah the trays are hydro flood and drain trays left intact and not drilled out for 'dro.
The trays lift up and down from floor height to 30" and they're also lifted on one end so water drains to one side where I can mop it up with an old towel.
What all this allows me to do is grow 4' tall plants next to 2' tall and still have an even canopy or at least have the ability to maximize light coverage so all plants no matter how big or small get great light coverage



Tomorrow I'll start the lowering of the table on the left to even up the canopy between both tables.

Spider Farm fucked up. Story, I bought there fan kit, of Amazon. The next day they come out with a controller for there power stripes and shit.
Looked at kits for weeks, all of em.
Decided on SF....emailed them give em the WTF..20 bucks back "IF" i lefted a "positive " review.
Asked for a 20$ code for that light i screenshot and posted here.
I told em I'd buy the other sf1000 for just under a hundy.

Heading out there for my 4th straight year for the annual anniversary of my wife and I getting hooked on NASCAR at the track where it all began!!
First year we were at Turn 12 but since then I've had these seats and this view at the top of the hill on Turn 1 locked down.
I'm probably one of the few fans who loves road course racing above all other tracks and it's because of COTA. Plus being damn near in my backyard is super cool.

This is gonna be a fun race man. New track course is still around 220 total miles but going from 60ish laps to 90+ laps.
Goodyear has new tires for this one that are supposed to wear down faster so that should mean more intrigue from pit road and tire strategy.
New asphalt should be faster and less bumpy in some areas.
No ringers in the field this year so it'll be the regular guys fender fighting around the track.
Gonna be fun man and that track, the whole venue and all the extra stuff happening makes it such a great time. We look forward to this weekend every year.

I've also started on making the party favors for the weekend....

New mood lights for the Peak.
I call this one "Race Day" using color from the NASCAR logo. Gonna tweek it a bit and change the colors around since yellow seems to dominate this pattern but it's getting there. Will make it public when I figure out how to do that



Scanner kit is ready complete with intercom headsets and I customized the on/off knob on the scanner with some help from the 3D printer

and yeah COTA is the best road coarse on the schedule, without a doubt!!.. with the roval in second and watkins glen in third, the rest IMO could fuck off.. the street race is badass but it should be the all start race or the clash. some special non points race. it's a special place, a special event, special rules, should be a special race too!

Even those have been discontinued. I saw them in action once in demo and thought they were a downgrade. The app was wonky AF.
Sun System was one of those victims of covid and buyouts.
Hawthorne and it's big ag evilness swooped in and bought it out then discontinued pretty much all products.
They did the same with other companies. Pretty much everybody got devoured in buyouts but some products survived. Like all the General Hydroponic nutes but not any systems, Gavita, Can Fan all lived and are now under Hawthorne but like CAP and Sunlight Supply were lost.
Then that's where companies like ACI and Vivosun came in to offer alternatives and better pricing.

Quality overall across the board has suffered IMO. The ancient Jedi proverb "They sure don't make 'em like they used to" applies like a MF in 2025

Flipped on Saturday night and now six days later, 3 males have been voted off the island.
They failed sex inspection on Thursday night then I confirmed today and culled them before they could waste any more water or nutes.



Feels like I'm pushing my luck keeping them in the airpots and not upcanning into fresh soil.
Water/feeding 2x per day, morning and night. They're practically begging me for bigger pots now.




Gonna give it a few more days to hold out for any more fellas in the herd. Three males already have saved me a full bag of soil and labor involved upcanning them so that's nice.
