Good to have the ability to document and have a source outside of my wall calendar to highlight and "timeframe" my projects as they come through. Got a few topdawg/akbeanbrains...that will be run by x-mas time. His lines hold heavy skunks but i gotta find em, the older afghanis and red lines from leb and iran. Just popped 6 chem 91 x dirty taxi from dagga garden that are in solo cups. The pics we will start with are from a finishing soil run of various "bottom of the seed tray" beans that were floating around alongside bodhi's hashplant d which has been great to run, tested a flower and love it all around. Im an elitest stoner though and need more "blinded by the toothfloss" feel it seems. These flowers would no doubt knock the average stoner on their asses. Im corrupted. ;smoke;smoke
I use the 50-60 all black storage bins from costco, ya know the ones with the big yellow lids? Yeah they had HUGE ones earlier in the year here and i bought 4 of em....filled em with my soils and let em rip.

yep was super lazy this last run and DID not lollipop the bottoms.....Will be addressing that next run! Really no excuse for me to be that lazy. To anyone reading this thread, Have you tried a line of cannabis in the last yr that really stood out to you that wasnt gmo or dirty taxi? If so please feel free to explain your lines that stood out form potency. Ideally id like to be surprised
kinda like the first time i heard adrian belew play.......
 
I use my grow threads as a sort of journal to keep track of things and to look back for comparisons or stoner clarification.
Good looking plants.
You got a tomato plant in there?

Hey Gday, One of the strongest strains I've smoked in a while was Bubba Mac n Cheese from Capt Redbeards. After curing it was as potent as they get. From someone that smokes over an oz a week to get me saying its strong it has to potent. It knocked out casual partakers after just a few hits they were done. I ordered more seeds recently, I'm hoping next run I can repeat my success with new beans.

Got a batch of paul robesons and sweet cherries from a neat lil farmer outa northern NY and those cherry are so sweet i had to try to keep one going wintertime lmaop, Whomever developed these honey drop tomato need a big hug from me! Hudson valley seed CO i believe. Ya know im kinda weirded out with plants still throwing pistils into week 8-9 but these fluence lights im thinking may be playing a role.......the entire plant screams senescence but the flowers say, oh look more pistils~!

No actually ive had that thing on 98%! maybe bring her down a 1/3 ya think?
 
I drop like 10% a week towards the end if the plants show signs of never stopping.
It happens when things are dialed in.
Sometimes [ often ] I chop after 8 weeks even if the plant wants to keep going.
Have you seen this video;

WOW i appreciate ya man. Yeah ive always just gone by the "overall" plant look in the past but to be fair i never thought to actually study if i was doing it correctly! I should also mention that ive been popping my seeds .....letting them get to say 2 nodes and going directly intio12/12 .......I wonder how much potency ive lost being "patient" lmaop!

Here we go again with my graph, sorry guys. I try to feed and light like this graph, up as feed goes up and down as feed goes down.

An old pro grower told me my burnt tips on my leaves were not necessarily too much feed, it could have been not enough light.......When food and light are balanced you don't get the burnt tips. So as I increase my food I increase my light, same way on back end as you drop your food, drop your light.

I don't know how you can feed according to my graph with compost. You really gotta know your shit to get the most out of compost....I thinks......I'm chemicals all the way baby,

A wise man ( I think it was Auquaman) (old guru that haunted these boards fora while) said plants absorb ions and they can't tell the difference between a chemical ion or a organic ion, an ion is an ion is an ion. So to me I interpret that as its all in the mind of the grower whether they like Organic or Synthetics because the plants don't care where they get their Ions from.

I'm clueless with Organics, I don't know how you can get your phosphorus,potassium,nitrogen calcium, magnesium levels right at the right times. I can add a bit of this a bit of that but you have to preload the right amount of bananas, egg shells worms and other crap months in advance...Too confusing for me.
 
Yeah i threw multiple plants into an area to see what i could get out of it. I neglected the feedings this run entirely and just dumped an entire bag of compost manure in each to see how far it'd get me. Have a few years under my belt with letting stuff rot in my yards and using the lessons learned in my gardens. This run ill have 6 instead of 12, and hoping to be able to keep the ladies happy but chems eat like my nephew so its fun to learn what they need as i go. Im not super neat and orderly in my grows like costanza is........I use those threads to adopt "practices" in my areas to neaten them up. Injuries ive gotten working bouncing off the ground and stuff make my thinking scattered at times when im trying to focus on itemizing things......No biggie i take a deep breath and push through it no probs. I adore soils/organics and wouldnt have it any other way!

I like humidifiers I can get my hand in and clean the inside with clothes or small brushes. I have a few that are impossible to clean once algae builds up. I currently have 3 with 6 liter tank top fill I can easily clean1763388831416.png
 
shittin on floor.jpgMy female boston terrier had her puppies his am.........First one was blue merle! Dad is a chocolate and mom is standard black and white tuxedo. I rescued her and within 3 days my lil dirt devil had her knocked up! Learned alot this round, ;wedg;mooning I cant fight nature no matter how hard i convince myself, My first time dealing with a litter of puppies i was 53 yrs old so thankygoodness for that. Id love nothing more then to buy another tent set up and have alternating tents to maximize my jar filling. I wanna have a pantry like the elders did that had everything from beans to venison in jars.

No idea. My own strain and Strawberry Lemonade are the strongest I’ve had in years. But we haven’t bought anything since we started growing.

GG#4 is supposed to be good. I’m doing that soon. Others go through strains much faster, I’m sure you’ll get better feedback.
 
I am an excellent puppy raiser/ janitor~!
Raised two litters of labs.
Mom determines the number of and dad determines the sex ratio I think. or viceversa.
My female and male shot 50/50 both times with about 11 or 12 puppies each time~!
Puppies are so much fun.
My color was always locked in with silver male and silver female. All silvers~!

Unfortunately I've exited the at home testing and cannabinoid analysis game.
I got into league with some local commercial growers recently and sold my lab kit to them.
Basically for about 6 years or so I've been able to put numbers behind experience so today can kinda guess percentage and get really close.
I used it as a hobby and for fun but my pal is using it for biz so it all worked out well. Learned something from it and made a fat wad of cash after when I was done with it.

Howdy Bioaccumulated! Good to meet ya!

The premier home test kit out there is Purpl Scientific. It's a phone app and a device lab kit and it's accurate to within +/- 3% THC. Spot on accuracy for CBD and moisture activity.
There's other kits with paper and vials which you need to buy again since they're disposable and they can give you a decent picture but other than a lab test, Purpl is the way to go at home for endless tests.

You'll learn a ton about weed by testing though. Especially on those crazy frosty strains people swear hit points as high as 40 and 50%. Reality is much different and you get schooled in testing and how some dispos and growers buy their test results. It's a dirty world.
Testing your own certainly cuts thru a ton of myth out there regarding new strains and especially hybrids. Expensive to get into but I'm very happy I had the experience.
There's also at least one lab in Colorado who accepts samples by mail. It's been a very long time and I don't have a link and cannot remember the name of the lab but do remember is was right inside the border on the Kansas side of Co.
 
Im excited to learn from you. Feel like this an avenue of the plant and its compounds ive never delved into and i should. For me understanding what EXACTLY it is im smelling with profiles as well. I wish you guys were closer to me id just hand you a few flowers and get feedback lmaop

Nice stash but I know not of any of those strains, I've grown some Critical cross and it was great.

I don't do a lot of trimming, by the time I get to harvest a lot of the leaves have already been pulled. When I do cut I just take off any leaves with long stems and hang my plants dirty. When I go to bag it up it mostly crumbles off. I don't grow to sell so it doesn't have to be pretty when I go to smoke ot cook it up.

No apology's necessary, we all had to learn some how. That's what we're here for. Most of us here already know how to grow and its gotten a bit boring without new blood asking questions. We all still have shit to learn and your questions and /or fkups may help us out as well. Shit I didn't even know what PH was back in 2018 and I'd grown for 20+ years before that just bumbling along without help. Ask questions if we don't know it may send us on a quest of our own.

I know how to keep plants healthy...... I wish there was a way I could take a brief synopsis of the last 16 months and everything that I've exposed myself to both in where I live in like driving around I guess the best way for me to say this so that it would make sense to others that are reading this is it's it's like an Alfred Hitchcock episode mixed with a Twilight zone episode and certain caveats of that have really made me look back on my life and be grateful that I was raised by the people I was raised by but you know being 50 years old and being in this like doing this thread everything hit me at once and I step back thinking to myself what the f*** am I doing? Not in a bad or a negative way in a more like wow look where I am and look at the status society and does anybody even think act feel the way I do and of course they do but where I live that's insulated from normal people I think they're nefarious people of foot that want folks like me to think that there's no hope outside of the little circle we're in if that makes sense. My grows are a direct relation if that makes sense to my inner psyche and how I'm feeling at the time and if I'm doing really really well in life my gross thrive if I'm depressed my girls seem to suffer because I become lackadaisical. If you would have told me when I was 21 years old that I'd be 55 years old and the only thing that makes me happy in life is watching plants grow being close to my dogs and avoiding 90% of the population I'd have laughed at you
 
Another thing that I should digress here is that I'm I've been smoking cannabis recreationally since I graduated high school in 1990 with 18 credits going into my dad's drawer to get his head stashed and never really smoked heavy heavy heavy but being the age I'm at now I'm starting to realize that I'm becoming forgetful I space out sometimes without realizing it I'm hoping somebody here at the website can relate to this cuz it f**** with my head from time to time
