i have the black tote but the lid is at her moms apt, we got a few things from there a few weeks ago but need to go back and get some more of our stuff.

if i had that id probably start the pump in it but i want fog, but one fog disc would not be enough for that tote, and i need a fan to circulate the fog to make 1 disc work probably anyways

You just need a cover to block light and it won't grow. Little squares of plastic cut from something like plastic bag or coffee can lids cut with a slot for the stalk.
Once they get big enough the leaves will block the light too.

I commiting to the 12/12 - no veg now, finally, I've thought about it alot ever since I first saw you doing it.

It makes sense, especially for very efficient/"dialed" in fog or hpa/"aero" , compact grows.

I switched it night or two ago, and the next seeds I'll do 12/12 to, I'll see and experiment with it my self .

One of my other experiments were seeing if I can flower a plant under 12/12 with a 2on/2 off light cycle.

I've shown you can veg with a 2/2 or 4/2 out of a 16-20hr light cycle, but curious about how it would flower.

Is there any benefits to the result? Probably not but just to learn more about Phototropism.

Yeah, I was gonna put foil on top.

The foil will block the light to the algae AND bounce some photons back to the undercanopy.

I just don't have any, working with what I got hehe

I need a fan/air flow and use less water at the start* notes for next time.

More complexity to balance without sensors and doing it manually

And this is my second attempt with hand-watering rockwool/growing in rockwool media.
