This cheese plant is about 6 ft and after getting 3 inches of rain The next morning the leaves started to curl on one branchand i thought maybe it got injured but see nothing. Now 4 beaches got it going on. Im growing in the ground so i started checking out the soil and realized some critter was undermining the area but seems soil right where the plant is growing so im not sure about that. Looked at pics online and it looks like a cal mag problem but it seems everyone says that. Ha!! So what say you My growing friends.IMG_0135.jpeg

Going with heat stress myself. Possibly too much water.
I would drench the soil with mosquito bits for shits and giggles.
The drive for excess MG and CA is LED driven and not be the same for you outdoor IMO.
Not saying you don't need some at the proper stages ,just not like the indoor growers IMO.

Could be heat but would like be all over the plant… looks very much like hemp russet mites. They can come from anywhere and if they had them early on you likely would have noticed a long time ago
Can rule out heat. Here in Michigan its been really pleasant. Im leaning on the russet mite or nutrition. I will spray again in a few days as if there is russet mite.

Looks just like the corn behind my house until we got a bunch of rain. I'd lean heat stress but also consider it may have gotten too much water and may just be dealing with it

Hope it ain't no mite...get the blow torch

Yea it's got its issues for sure, but damn I love some outdoor growing. When you can smell it from yards away just is different than a stinky house. Going forward I'm just going to use soil from my indoor grows, get a second run out of the soil atleast maybe more.

Outdoor growing sucks real bad though if you can't do it in a cheap fashion for sure....I couldn't imagine putting the money into outdoor that I put into my indoor...if I did then that would make it suck for sure

Heat stress. Could be Hemp Russet Mites if this was a clone from Trusrfall.

Yeah its definitely not nutrient related… to me its classic russet mite
I have a reputation to keep.
I could not be the first to say it .. Again.
They are so hard to see but I would not exclude them.
I would upscale my pest management if you are confident about heat and water.

Growing outdoor is the only way for me. It doesnt make sence for me to do indoor money wise. The amount i smoke i cant justify it . Remember Im 2 toke Dave. Went to watch a band play last night. All that took was 1 toke and i was good for 3 hours. This year i hope to pull 10 lb of high quality bud from 8 different strains. The people i supply with their Medicine are very happy and sometimes donate to my cost but i dont charge them. I am about to break even. But it is a passion of mine to grow. From onions to carrots to chickens to cannabis. Well im off topic but i thank all that have replied to this discussion and after going back out to look at the plant Im about 85 % positive its Hemp russet mite

Yeah @steamroller I will definitely going to spray a second time for the mites. This year I went with Monterey Horticultural oil instead of sulfur. I just didnt get it on in time.

Update on this issue:
this is what it looks like now the damaged leaves are curling up and falling off . the growing tip looks ok still. Is this consistent with russet mites? They have been sprayed twice.
cheese russet mite? 20 wks.jpeg

Is it possible its damage from what youve sprayed on them?
Im not saying it isnt bugs, just looks like more of a burn than anything.
But russet mites seem like they are a different fucken breed of bug from what ive read, so i dont know man.

it was there before i sprayed

God those little bastards can really ruin your day.

It looks like the other plants in the background are unaffected? You might want to switch to prevention mode if you are not hurting for a harvest and try to contain the spread if you are convinced it is mites.

Yeah I have three out of ten plants that are pretty fried. I have another month before flower starts so we will see who pulls through. I may have to pull a couple if they herm. I have one super healthy Bodie plant that was right next to the most affected plant and it is fine. All the plants got somewhat burnt due to sulfur being on the plants and me not getting enough off before I did an oil spray. Man the sulfur didn't even tough those bugs. But the oil/soap spray sure did. I am not going to say they are dead and jinx myself haha. But I haven't seen any sign of them and have been treating heavily with the home made spray and Green Cleaner. I think next season I am going to remove all the dirt from the greenhouse and start fresh, and maybe bill Trustfall for all the expenses....

To the OP, I highly suggest the home made spray with soap/alchohol/H202. I don't have the recipe link handy but I can find it for you if you want. But you can only spray during veg. The Green Cleaner is expensive but it seems to be keeping them off since I did the oil spray. Spray, spray, spray and keep spraying. Kill them all before these things spread everywhere and we are all f'd. Probably some government bug meant to kill cannabis lol. Hemp Russet Mites only affect Cannabis and thats it...pretty strange.

The more I’m looking at this the more sure I think it’s those evil mites. They affect the tops like that and the lead curls.

I have sprayed twice with Montery horticultural oil which should knock them out . Last year i had something similar going on with one plant and sprayed sulfur twice and they turned out ok But this year i decided to go with the oil . You just cant go with both sulfur and oil or you cook the plants

Oh Yeah Moe, I am treating everything as if they have them. I have 2 plants right next to this plant.
