Let's see your outdoor grow 2023

Im all done with outdoor after this year and last.
Yea looks like I am too by force not choice. It's either his hemp getting me or some other dummy growing...glad I wasn't the dummy that pollinated it just sad I was the dummy that went through all that. My friends had been talking about it for the last few years and I was suspect on their ability to catch herms.

Idk I think they sell feminized hemp though, that should be law for growing it

Mine is both lol.
My wife told me shes done watching me waste all the time, energy, and everything else involved on outdoor, so im being forced there.

But even if she didnt say no more, i was done anyway.
I hate outdoors. I only did this year is because I ran of space indoors and didn’t want to kill them.

@GoodShit97 suggested I try outdoor when I had three trees and only two tents. Got lucky she liked a mud hole and frost didn’t get her in May. If it does okay I’ll try again next year or until no one else needs weed that can’t grow.

But bugs, mold, deficiencies, and labour add up. To many issues and I could see throwing in the towel.

And I love growing outdoors but i haven't had too many challenges.I got 12 plants , 8 strains. But Im not at the finish line yet. 3.5 lbs in 2021 , 8lbs in 2022 and hoping for 10lbs this year

If I can get enough to keep fam and buddies good until next year I’m happy. I think we have enough indoors.

Rumours have it outdoor is stronger so I’m looking forward to testing. However cleaning and trimming not so much. 🤣

finding drying space and trimming all that will be a chore. I made a drying shed last year

I'm amazed at the difference in stature that clones from the same plant present when grown LED versus SUN.

In the foothills I took three clones from my earlier Apples and Bananas grow. One went to the Bay area, one in a tent in the foothills and one in the dirt on the hill in open sunlight all day long. I wouldn't have guessed they are the same strain much less clones of the same mother based on stature and appearance.

I don't have side-by-side pics to compare as the plants are about 3 - 4 weeks apart in the flowering process. That said, the LED grown Clone is about 28" tall and about 24"x24", the SUN grown clone is about 54" tall (I believe stretch is complete) and about 48"x36" across.

Yep. I scoured the plants for balls daily never found any...went over them after I cut them and couldn't find any either...and they were spread out in different spots still same amount of pollination. Wack. I'm gonna have to send my farmer buddy a link to feminized hemp bulk shipper or something lmao. He is literally gonna have the shit growing in ditches for eternity here 😒
Sounds like the ditch weed around here. It grows fucking everywhere. No way would I ever try outdoor, regardless if it ever became legal.

I have been gone for a few weeks, this lady finished her stretch and is firmly in flower mode.

The colas (12) are stacked up really well but they feel like they’re a couple weeks light from a mass standpoint. IMG_1297.jpegIMG_1298.jpegIMG_1294.jpegIMG_1295.jpegIMG_1296.jpegIMG_1300.jpeg

Weather has been wonderful here in recent days.
Highs in the upper 80s and low 90s.
% of RH drifts into the 50s and 60s at night and drops off as soon as sun up into the upper teens or low 20s.

The girl on the hill is approaching the end of week 6. Although I’m incredibly impressed with the size of her colas, I still feel like they are a little light considering week 6! Maybe my eye is being confused by the extensive length the colas have (15 to 18 inches in length) the plants indoors have colas which get maybe 6 or 7 inches.

They are clones of one another, the growth in sunlight is amazingly different.

The weather here in mi has been great this week except the humidity. Mid 80s and alot of sun. But all things must past and have storms today and chance of rain the next couple days. Then the 60s start .Your plants look about a week or 2 ahead of mine

The mature Sambathai plant started indoors at 12:12 and has been outdoors for several weeks now flanked by the very native landrace a gift from my grommie here in the hood. The oldest plant 6 months old is looking like a male at this point, so will keep an eye out on the Thai plants....20230912_063433.jpg20230912_063626.jpg

First try at outdoor in 20 years in the veggie garden - I get them staked and plastic ready in couple weeks

Looks like my weather is turning, I may have a pretty good storm dropping into northern ca next week.

My plant is still many weeks away from ready, mid october is my estimate.

Not sure what I’ll end up with, I hope its not a mold factory.

Colds kicked off purple. Still have weeks to go. Plucking yellow every day or two.

She’s approximately 7’6” at tallest, and 6’ round. Lightbulb shaped and hollow under the 12” canopy.

Yeah its been wicked wet and humid here. Its been 75-95% humidity.
I cut another one down in mid August from budrot so i didnt have much hope after that lol.
I really dont know why people wanna grow outside up here. Id so much rather grow inside.

Only reason I did outdoor is cuz moving to Indiana , didn’t allow me to set up indoors yet still lookin for a place ! But just across the border in mich we got a few - rather smoke my own outdoor than most of the dispo stuff ! Lol although I have found a couple farms that do a pretty good work , but growing is so much more kool ! Lol and still cheaper ! I could grow a elbow for what I pay for couple ounces😞 this cherry farms nugs they seem to put a little love in their work

I tried outdoor again this year cause i thought having a mature plant wouldve gotten me to harvest but my big plant hit flower late july and then stalled all of august so i got screwed. If it kept packing on bud in august i prolly wouldve put more effort in to saving it.
