Do some strain just go away forever?

Do some of y’all miss out on strains that don’t seem available anymore?

I was looking for Mandarin Kush from ethos and it just seems to be gone… I’m popping some Pennywise seeds now but I couldn’t get the original by TGA genetics. Kind of a bummer when you’re looking for something specific and it’s gone

yeah man. i think a lot of us have lists of old genetics we wish we could get a hold of again. my short list is:

Matanuska Thunderfuck (likely still around, i just haven't dug into it too heavily)
Grapefruit (pretty sure this was a pheno of C99)
Catpiss (pretty sure this was a pheno of super silver haze)
Trainwreck - Arcata cut
Blue Moon Rocks (have found incredibly limited info on this one)

and sometimes, genetics just get tired over the decades. That's kind of the case with Chem 91. it's been around so long and cloned so many times, it's just losing all its vigor and viability for continued propagation. Sooner than later it'll too be lost to the sands of time.

I know I have seeds for the Ethos Mandarin Sunset, which I gave a couple to a friend. He loved it so much he went to buy more, and like what you said, they were all gone, retired I guess. Glad I still have a few of these.

I’d love to get my hands on Colorado flo, but I can’t ever find any seeds. Same with ghost train.

Seems like a lot of my favorite sativa/sativa dominate hybrid strains over the years have disappeared over the years.

Agreed. I've been trying to find a strain called Pave` by Compound Genetics. They have a lot of crosses with that strain as a parent but I can't find the original anywhere.

Have you tried contacting them? They may not have a ton available and may not want to list them in their shop. Worth a shot at least.

I just happened to look it up and what I saw referenced it as a 2022 strain so chances are better than it being a 2012 strain I'd say.

I got banned from fb group activity for telling this guy who is an mma fighter "I'll kick your ass easy " fb can't take a joke. Once that is over hopefully I can remember but I got a guy on there who is pretty connected and always down to help...I'll ask him for ya....I'd say 50% or greater chance he knows somewhere or one holding it

I have never dealt with them, but that price is accurate for anything from Compound.
North Atlantic Seed Company has a few crosses with Pavé but no S1 seeds.

Rose Gold Pave sounds like its gonna be delicious.
