We all really liked it too. I think was a data hog, though. That's not my department so I'm not 100% sure.

This beyond the site itself, but we should work toward an eventual annual or biannual grower's cup.

The logistics of such a thing would require some time, I would think. Also, not having planned, participated in or even attended a cannabis competition, I'm clueless about how this has been done before.

Im in the same boat, never competed in, participated in, or attended a cannabis event of any kind yet lol.
But i do like the idea tho!!

@steamroller didn't you recently attend one of these? Or anyone out there? I've never done it either. Sounds fun.

I'd love to go to a cannabis convention somewhere, just getting from here to anywhere is expensive. budget budget budget. is there anywhere better than Las Vegas?

This brother does not lack enthusiasm, I want to say the brotherhood without judgement here is ON Point! As to a Cup well, we all have intellect here, we pool that and plan a guide for development of funds, ect. to pull a Cup showoff. I am good at communications and have friends who may help guide us, if Moe will let them,Ha. Cheers carry on. SSgrower

While I'd love to drag everyone to Michigan, I think NY, with their laws allowing weed to be smoked anywhere tobacco can be smoked, has an advantage. That's off the top of my head, but it seems a place to smoke was forgotten in most states.

I’m in if we can figure out logistics.

I used to live in Grand Rapids but the whole state was my territory. Loved being there.

Grand haven in July is my pic. Get some fishing in too.

I could do NY, Maine, Virginia, anywhere on the northern east coast i could do for sure.
Definitely out on Michigan or Las Vegas, its just too far for me.

I'd go to any legal state. Unfortunately, Canada is out.

Those who would enter a cup (maybe all of us?) have to consider the logistics of getting to the event with a Mason jar of buds (pint size? quart size?).

I have always wanted to visit The Dude Grows Cup that has been held in Colorado. It might be a benefit to see the logistics behind that one. Ours would be smaller, of course. Maybe very much smaller.
 
I think give this forum some time.say 4yrs or so budbuiders could have its very on stall at a cannabis convention represented by one or many of us displaying many things built by us to make grows easier.sites merchandice or even our very own strains from our seedbank 😃.
 
I've been to several Cannabis Cups. It certainly doesn't make me any more knowledgeable as to how they were run but I've been to them. Chain smoking weed while you're there doesn't really help the memory dept. either!

From what I can remember the cultivators just had to submit a few grams of their work but I heard, as of late, that they suspect some of the entries may not have been their work. Not sure how they could police this other than each cultivator submitting a grow journal. I also heard that they've set up more sub categories for extracts and they're opening up the judging for a Peoples Choice award.

Rather than meeting up physically in any one location, while probably being the party of the century, the expense part would be prohibitive to some of the forum members. Maybe we could use Zoom as a way to meet up without having to go through the expense of traveling? I'd love to meet up and have a face to face with a lot of the members on here but, again, cost and life responsibilities may be a factor.

Really ur ex Michigander too - I got fam in Caledonia I think we got quite a few midwesterners on the site ? Grand haven, Holland, st joe, Lake Michigan almost as beautiful as the Gulf .

I'd like some electric trim scissors that don't cost $500 Cdn, if you could source some of those at a good price I'd like that a lot.........just a suggestion for future supplies.

I mean a thread where everyone posts pictures of sister plants from the same batch of seeds grown by different growers and methods. The winner gets revegged and cloned. Call it Bud Builders Best, 3B
