When I'm getting over a flu bug, Thanksgiving is just another day of work, and I don't feel like cooking...
It's a good thing the breakfast taco joint was open this morning because I'm burned out on soup.
Flour tortillas and every label is actually + egg and cheese
And this is with a few already eaten 😋

We used to make a trip once a year on the bikes to get buffalo wings, in Buffalo. Supposed to be the original place it started but they all say that. 🤣

yea i've been there too... and hamburg NY, birth of the hamburger!

.

tonight we had our cold weather favorite... simple four ingredient beef stew.

I've heard the original Buffalo Wings were served cold. Mostly because they were deep fried then sauced up at Bills game tailgate parties in sub-zero temps so after the fryer they got cold pretty fast. The hotter the sauce the better to beat the cold.
It's probably like Philly Cheesesteak, NYC pizza, and Texas chili. There's fact, legend, and tall tales behind every iconic dish

Love wings but dislike how many places in this region use Frank's hot sauce. I vastly prefer Crystal but none of the grocery stores carry it up here.

I have a few venison neck roasts in the freezer for making stews.
Man I used to give the neck away until I made stew one year, now I keep every single one and the hearts too!
I use the heart in the stew too, so good. 🤤

This will sound odd but my favorite part are the ribs!

We ate out at a Thai place last night, I had some really good grilled octopus...

I've been recently told that sweet baby rays makes really good buffalo sauce... I have T tried it.. I'm a frank guy!

I scrape the ribs into the burger bucket 🤷🏻
I've never actually tried to do anything else with them.
Ah man, low and slow on your smoker just like pork ribs.. Fall off the bone tender! You can do BBQ sauce or I like to catch the drippings and make a thin gavy sauce to serve them with.

I had to google Crystal. I don't think I've ever seen that around here. I put Frank's on everything, but I like to try different stuff. I'll have to try to find some Crystal or order it online.

Didn’t we just talk about this? 🤣
You thought I was nuts asking if you cooked the ribs. You going to try it, maybe in a crockpot? 🤔👍

Guess I'll have to shoot another next week! lol
sawzall with a bone blade... you can freeze the racks as well. they're longer than a pig so you can get away with cutting them in half if ya want to save room in the freezer. they cool a little easier when they're smaller too. i first had them at a pot luck dinner, thats where i got the idea of the gravy. he wasn't heavy on the seasoning but i like to go heavy on the cracked pepper with them.

VEGETABLE LO-MEIN
(I forgot to add the 🍤 👈🏻😂)

Trying out some new organic, non-GMO ramen noodles I found at our local market.

I don't eat those noodles in the bag anymore since I found out they contained bioengineering ingredients, and the organic non-GMO on Amazon are pricey

So I was hoping these were good and I was not disappointed!IMG_20241206_221904~2.jpg

Tell me you don't know how to cook it without telling me you don't know how to cook it ;burt
I dont cook it, never have and never will.
Cabbage is gross. Cooked and raw.
Nasty ass foot leaves 🤢

The corned beef by itself without any cabbage nasty cooked into it is ok. Cabbage ruins it.

i agree cabbage ruins it!!! and souerkraut is even worse!!!!!

take that corned beef brisket and add it to a cream sauce over toast... hells yeah!!!!! way better than any sos on the planet!!!

The secret is cooking cabbage separate but using half the broth from the meat when you do it.
But look who I'm talking to...beans in chili people ;bsmoke

When I make a chili dog, I'll put 'kraut on there before I would ever put beans in the chili. ;pervert
And when I make leftover sammies, yeah they will be stacked with 'kraut! hahaha!

Looking at this beastie of a roast though....I'm thinking about cutting it in half....make corned beef with one half and smoke the other half and make pastrami with it.
Gotta go get some rye bread and Swiss cheese too. Rueben patty melts won't make themselves!;H
