My Peak Pearl going tits up was something of a reckoning and set off a whole wild chain of events.
I ended up landing on glasspass and for the most part, did an entire exchange of old smoking gear, some very rare and fine art more than glass, and parlayed that into new rigs and extra chambers.
At the same time, I hit my 1 year anny of no booze.
Feeling pretty good about that, I realized I had some nice drinking stuff too and sold it all. Made more off that than I did the smoking gear so I treated myself with a second proxy, the new version above.

I had a globe bar I had bought some time ago at a flea market or some place like that. It was in parts and missing parts and boxed up but I figured one day I would do something with it.
I damn near loaded it up for a donation to goodwill last week but stopped short realizing I had what was needed to fix it up, a 3D printer!
Got to work designing a handle for the top, a weird part for the hinge, and a center tray to replace what was open for an ice bucket.

The replacement I got the pearl arrived today too!
IDK what was up with my Pearl but everything is correct now with the app and everything. That Pearl was way more glitchy than just the connector for sure.
The XL chamber from amazon is working great on it and I put my Helix topper on it. The water swirls in this one and then the smoke swirls like an upside down tornado in the top chamber

TBH, kinda surprised it's been so ez. File it there with cigs in a cold turkey quit. Doubt I'll ever hit one of those again. It's been 23 years since my last and there's no way I could light one up today without throwing up.
Smelled booze the other day from a bottle broken on the pavement and it made me kinda gag. Beer is starting to smell foul to me too. I can also smell when somebody has been drinking and that's kinda fucked up.

2 doobs a day, one after walking the dogs mid-morning and the other after work but before dinner has seemed to fill everything I once got from cigs. It's the doobie factor there IMO.
All this wax and stuff is nice but for me, the king of weed is always going to be a fat and slow burning joint of homegrown. Good glass filter and thin skin makes every hit green. Making hash from homegrown may be the only thing I'd rate higher than a good joint but a joint is just so chill and relaxed so it's always #1 for me.


Work or on-the-go is the big challenge and where I dab the most and don't go herbal unless it's morning dog walk, the wake and bake session, with a dab topped dry herb vape.
I prefer proxy over everything for portability but they're not discreet.
I have maybe every good pen there is to be had and none are A+. We're talking Cs and Ds mostly. Puffco Pivot and Pulsar Barb Fire Slim have been the best but they still kinda suck.
510 carts are okay but best if DIY and I prefer the stronger hit from pure wax. OTC carts are becoming the spiked seltzers of weed for me. Pretty much have to nurse on them non-stop to get high where I prefer a 2-3 minute session ripping clouds to the head...not that mild and shitty cart high.

Home is just turning into a playground for stoners. 3 Peak devices + the Sykloud and I'm waiting on a specialized piece I ordered thru the headshop.
It will solely be for my homemade rosin

One reason I like peak so much is all the different toppers to totally change the experience...dry, wet, recycler...all sorts. One peak can really be several rigs in one. It's awesome!
So happy I have a normal working peak and app now! Finally, everthing Stoney has been talking about works and makes sense haha!

Spotted a couple males yesterday and kicked them outside for the night.
They were miserable this morning after being dried out in a 40 degree night.
Will go ahead and cut off the green parts and salvage the coco and bags. Not looking to make seeds this run

Still keeping an eye for another male but so far, two of five seems about right. 60/40 either way or dead on 50/50 seems to always be the pattern here.

Next step is to position the plants in the bed...tallest to the rear and shortest to the front will be the play since it worked well the last run.
Was debating with myself whether or not to lay down a coco mat and decided I will so I ordered it this morning.
When it gets here I'll lay it out then put the plants back in according to size.
After that, then I can add the trellis poles to the table and lock the plants in for the grow

I can't say a gravity bong is for everybody. Turning one into a dab rig is both diabolical and radical and probably a few others cals you can think of.

The legend of the 70s lives and it aint some wonky double 2liter bottle or a double bucket contraption and it's certainly not some weird way overpriced, over engineered version of one.
And that guy claiming he invented it in 2004 is full of shit. First one I ever saw was in 1979 so he's off by a few years but back then they were called bucket bongs or sometimes waterfall bongs because the smoke comes down like a waterfall.
They're different. Belong right there with lava lamps in fact I set my peak on lava lamp mode while I hit this mutha.
The wife was one and done and that made me smile. It's 2026 and gravity bongs are still gravity bonging! Something about chicks and gravity bongs. They love them but also get wrecked in short order then laugh about it all night long :ROFLMAO:

oh you have the extra channel then for sure we can make that happen.. i had to put converters and relays on everything for my lights. not a big deal just a few bucks and some wiring.. but it seemed like every light i wanted was a different voltage and since i wanted to go from 2s to 3s i needed to be able to handle that.. but if your volts match up like that then all we need to add is a tiny relay that recognizes one of those extra ports and you can switch it on and off!! i'll look for a double relay right away so you can use both extra ones and add something else down the road like engine sounds or something.

do you know the model number on that radio?

hell yeah they were!!!! i always preferred the waterfall just because it was easy to pass around a party.. but waterfalls got stale compared to bucket bongs.

years ago i was at a party with some friends and the home owner was a cop and it was one of the first times we met him but wasn't the only cop we ever partied with.. he said him and his partner had to respond to a campground and saw something with a tub and a bottle and new it was for smoking but had no clue what, he blew it off to his partner and said ah they're washing dishes in there or something!! hahaha well he said to us what was that?!?! we laughed.. it was a bucket bong, you wanna try one? he said sure!!! now this was the next morning after the party, we camped out there for the night. hangovers and stuff like that.. well all he had were 3 liter bottles... we loaded it up for him told him what to do and handed him a lighter.. man he took the whole fuckin thing like a champion!!!! i mean fast forward thirty some years later and i'm still friends with the guy, but didn't know at the time. at the time we were two stoners that did a bucket bong with a cop!!!! hahahaha

I might have another candidate for a rc crawler obstacle.
I have plants under Samsung EVO and they're reaching for the Osram that's much further away

And that's how a grow light gets kicked to the curb here.
I even told it...do you wanna get ran over? Because plants acting like you're not even there gets you ran over!!!

I think the light bar on the buggy is just bad because the green lights come on when plugged into the same port but it's the same thing where the xtra button on the controller doesn't turn them off or on.

That's crazy getting high with a cop. They've always taken my weed. Like cops never learned puff puff give. Those guys are always like puff puff keep

Yeah everything just clicks now with the peak stuff. We've been high AF all weekend taking Friday off so it's all been getting lots of use and finally dialing in temps and times I couldn't do before.
The gravity bong hit is all kinds of groovy fun man. Any rig with a 13mm glass adapter could do it and really makes it way easier because now it's hands free not needing to hold a lighter. I 3D printed a little stand for the slide when I pull it off to hit. Works great especially since we have the bar there making it ez to stand and take a hit.
The hit is super smooth and cool. Very comparable to my triple perc bong. The erigs can be a little punchy and those two options can offer a nice change up for us.

Coco mat is down, new rez set, plants reorganized by height and girth...I'm rolling!
This week the trellis poles go in and this garden pretty much gets locked into position. No more shuffling or rotating plants after this week.

For the most part up to now, the previous grow has repeated itself and I have the consistency I want to see in the operation.
The subtraction of only 10 days of veg has helped and ton and is the big difference between the two grows keeping one canopy manageable while the other went out of control in some areas.
12/12 veg is really about controlling the stretch so it don't get so extreme my plants burn themselves up on the lights.
So far so good as the 12/12 is a combo of both stretch and veg growth. The expansion of biomass on the plants are matching the stretch.
That means 12/12 veg is totally working. They never stopped or stalled at flip. Quite the opposite as they mashed the gas and continue to do so.

TLDR..I got 'em right where I want them :cool:

I may or may not have spotted a pistil last night on one of the home bred plants.
It's been a slow roll into flower and I think around 10 or 11 days of true 12/12 so I suppose pistils should start to show any day if not already.
So maybe late next week I drop it down to 11/13. Taking it day by day but each day is progressing as well as I could ask for.
Front row got lower canopy cleanup yesterday and will continue the rest of the rows this week, directing that growth into colas.

When I found this vintage MegaFarm kit buried in a box in my shed a while back I knew I was gonna have some fun but not sure when or how it would happen

Wasn't really feeling the groove with the hempy tub so I called an audible at the line of scrimmage and got to work building a two site airlift pump powered irrigation system with the old megafarm kit today

All I need to do now is keep the control bucket full of nutrient solution, clip leaves as needed, and add support if needed.

To fill the bucket, I pull from the flood and drain rez then top it off when needed so it's one reservoir of nutes feeding two systems of soilless medium hydroponics.

Since it's air powered, I'm using an AC Infinity UIS plug as a timer to turn it on and off at 4:20am for 40 minutes, the same time the F&D does it's routine.

I'm giving some thought to giving up control of the bucket system and let the AI features take over to determine what time of day is best to irrigate according to environment and moisture probe, then let it irrigate as it sees fit.
If it comes up with a better idea, maybe I change the irrigation on the flood and drain too.
When I let it calculate lighting, the difference between AI and human was only 20 minutes so I was really close to dialed in just by mathing this shit so I don't really expect anything drastic but maybe some ideas on fine tuning with help from AI

I have a USB rechargeable airpump around here somewhere to plug into the control bucket so it will get some air soon. Gotta find it then 3D print a little cradle thing so it hangs off the rim of the bucket. Also need to find a cover for it

When people panic buy brisket in Texas, you know some weather shit is about to go down.

I'll be feeling spacey the whole weekend and will probably watch some scify classics like Close Encounters and Mars Attacks with a new topper livery in the house!

OT: man so while I got your attention...I'm working on a project for you as a gesture of appreciation for what you've done with this thing.
The first one isn't up to snuff so I gotta work some settings and use different filament to get it right where I want it then I'll use the stinky green again.

It's starting off as an air freshner but as I go here, it can be anything from a pendant to a Xmas tree ornament, fridge magnet or what ever.
I'm trying to print a scented logo for you to hang from a rearview mirror or wherever but it will smell like weed so maybe a car's not the best spot.;smoke
I'm not sure if they can even be an airfreshner yet but it's definitely scented!
Text is very difficult to print in TPU...kinda like working with melted wax so it gets stringy between letters. I'm working on cleaning that up.

I can also do a regular leaf, corvette logo, name, etc but I'd really like to use my weed filament to make something one of a kind and special for you Buddy.
I also have some new flavors, peach, apple, and strawberry and can do something in those.
Later, I'll probably end up with several more scents as well.
One idea I have is to use two on the same print so something like strawberry and cannabis together to make a logo or something for Strawberry Cough.

15 here now, i just hope the power doesn't go out. my neighbors are in puerto rico right now and they asked me to connect their geny if the power goes out so i gotta do two of em if it does..

There's varying degrees of cold and it's effects around here.

The coldest is gets around here is in the 30s but there's anomalies that will take us down into the teens and maybe a day or two in single digits but those a very rare and short lived. Like 3 days in 5 years may get that cold.
If it does snow, it don't last unless it's something like 2020 that was pretty much like a bomb going off taking out power and water.
Biggest issue is ice but that won't seem to be an issue either.
It's cold yes but not cold enough for me to even get out my generator or do much other than protect outdoor plants.
We'll be back in the 60s next week and should thaw during each day so IDK why people are losing their shit over this one.

But yeah...varying degrees and you learn some things during times like these.

If that was my weather I'd be considering a move to the equator.
I have neighbors from Western Canada and this is their damn super bowl of weather or something. Looks like they're huge wearing coats made of Yak fur and huge fur hats made of beaver or some shit. It's not even below freezing yet :oops:
