Northern Ontario Canada its called winter here. Some winters are colder some are milder the good part is it only lasts 6 months !!!

I'd move. Like I totally understand why I have Canadian neighbors but wonder why I don't have more. They go back when it gets super hot here so once we get 100s, they're gone for the Summer until Fall.
My goal is to always live in a Southern state with a coast. Pretty much my top choice is Texas or Mississippi. More money and security in Texas so I stay here. My only landlocked choice would be New Mexico. Nothing north of I-10 simply because of weather. I'd rather deal with 120 degree summers than -10 Winters.

I grew up in northern California mountains living a mountain life I see sometimes in DJ's and Stoney's pics.
The snow life in Winter and hunting, chopping wood, and homesteading all the other months in prep for Winter. After a taste of life in the South, no way I'll ever go back to that. I never realized how much I hated snow until I was away from it.

I measure Winter here in hours. Usually Winter is around 70 hours but this one is looking like around 100 or so.
In two weeks I'm gonna start feeling like I'm late starting my Summer veggie garden so may start that this weekend indoors.

I have (and have had for most of January) heavy fog, visibitiy is about to the hood ornament of the car. It’s thick like peanut butter!
Driving east to the foothills this morning, on a major highway, I had to drive in lower gears and about 30 mph, there were occasional idiots whipping in and out of traffic doing at least 70. Not good!

It often is others that make these things harder than they need to be. Saw a lot of panic driving too, parking lot rage and all that. It helps me a ton to get high before entering the fray.
This is nothing though. Hoodie weather at best and I haven't turned on the fireplace yet. Maybe tonight though.
My Canadian neighbors are out there having a hoot. Looks like they tapped a keg and are doing yard work

It's cold here but I have zero to complain about in those regards.
Opened up the grow room to let it help warm the house. Tomorrow morning, I'll turn on the fireplace and the plants will get a massive dose of CO2 off the natural gas burner. Don't get to do that too often.

All tucked in for the night.
New rez split 50/50 bloom/veg.
Lights at 85 red 75/white/blue 100 UV (5 hours) 11:45 on 12:15 off
Started to install the trellis, clearing lots of sucker growth, tying down stalks.
Broke one top off bending tops to slow stretch. Win some, lose some

Don't know much about making soups but did up this pot with a few quarts of veggie and chicken broth, poultry herb kit, and some veggies. Pleastanly surprised at how good it came out.




Made a meatloaf for the very first time too!

must be in the cool weather, we made one tonight too.. i see your meatloaf and raise you an airfried meatloaf!!!!!!

Yep. I lost what was sure to be a monster cola but there's a ton of secondaries bidding for position in the void. May have been for the better anyways because that's a very aggressive plant with it's stretch.

I got further into the puffco app and made a whole series of different lights for the UFO topper.

Peak = Probed


Been testing them all day and am just tore up loopy fucking with this thing. That meatloaf doesn't stand a chance of survival thru the weekend

Thunder snow was a new one.
Usually snow comes with this eerie silence but this came with thunder and lightning so I guess this is heavy metal snow or something.

Lost power for a couple hours in the middle of the night. Wife heard an explosion and that usually means a nearby transformer blew. City got it back up in about 90 minutes in 20 degree weather with the snow and thunder at 3am. Tip of the cap to utility guys stepping up in this shit.
Looks like I'll be filling my bong with hot chocolate instead of water today and I'm charging up some batteries to go tear assing my rc buggy around in that crap and sling some ice.

Got the co2 generator running today.
Wednesday was concerned about her raggedy old soccer ball she's had since a pup so she brought it in to get warm by the fire







plants don;t get the heat from the fireplace but they sure as shit benefit from it.
CO2 is a traveling sorta gas making it's way from the living room into the grow room almost 20 feet away down the hallway

Now that we are in it I guess the weather guessers may be a little closer with their guesses.
They say I am in the 14-20 inch area. It only started to snow a couple hours ago. Maybe an inch or two so far.
Light fluffy stuff so should not be an issue to clear, but it is zero here so if the wind picks up it could cause white outs.
I have no plans besides sleeping, TV, smoking herb and eating for the next two days. They say it will still be snowing here tomorrow.

Storm has moved on from here. Sun is out and there's some thaw happening.
Just space heaters and down to short sleeves and pajamas but will probably need the fireplace again after dark.
We'll freeze again tonight and looks like no work tomorrow!
Thankful we don't have that snow let alone the accumulation. I don't think we even got snow but more so sleet and it froze over. It's gravely out there and no where close to powder.
Transplants from the north are having a time with it. Mentioned the Canadians...the Coloradans got out their snowboards and skis and are sking the hill here. Texans got out the river tubes and did some tubing down the slope. But I'm like you, staying inside watching TV and getting high. IMSA racing is on. Gonna bake a pizza here soon and watch some foosball

we just watched paul last night!!!


look at you with the covering!!!! ya know i forgot to say this last week but i'm pretty sure you and i have the exact same clothes line!! mines quite a few years older but still the exact same shade of green!!!! mines in storage right now though!! hahaha

i just plowed out and ran the snowblower down the sidewalk. didn't take nearly as long as i though. the cold sucks but the flip side is the snow is very light and fluffy. i think i made my personal best snow bank today, higher than the roof of the truck!!

as long as our power stays on i'll be happy as can be... my neighbors are stressing though, they won a free trip to puerto rico and yesterday their furnace died!!! their son went and put out space heaters all over the house... i wouldn't even use those kinds myself unattended so i wish then the best right there. i've been checking on them but only once in a while.. i'd hate to see their electric bill!!!! hahahahaha

for now i'm in my slippers doing dabs.. gonna make some hot coco and have an ice cream cone later!!!!

Man did it rain down dippin' dots?
I've only seen the Thundersnows a handful of times and each time it dumped dippin' dots all over the place. The thunder sounds weird with all the sound dampening snow too. I'm glad your Texan ass got to experience that

I looked up my order history on amazon and can't find it but I thought I got it there.
It is a really good one, sturdy enough to handle our wind and storms. I got out the post hole digger and used a bag of quick set and it's been sturdy AF.
Saves a ton not using a dryer here.
That was one of the big changes we did when the utilities went up a few years ago and i did all the audits etc, changing all sorts of stuff so we wouldn't get pantsed on utility bills.

Might as well hook up a warm winter drink to me like an IV thru all this.
Have a toffee cocoa too. Bought a gallon of whole milk just for this storm lol
Ice cream treats have been my biggest cheats dude. Like to Hell with burgers, booze, and bbq, gimme ice cream!!!!
I've been destroying some local gelato the store's been selling. Also picked up a box of Hagen Das peppermint bark ice cream bars but I keep them out in the carport freezer just to make it hard to get and I don't binge all of them because yeah they are super fucking bad for me!!!!

Found this to eat or mix in my tea and I'm not impressed. I've had a more crispy honeycomb a very long time ago but this is pretty much like a wasp nest soaked in honey

I thought it sounded like sand being poured for a while but yeah now that you mention it lol. Wasn't like hail at all and just kinda weird. I wonder if there could possibly be a snownado?

Got a snow day off work but there's no snow...just icy slop and it's cold but it's giving me time to do the trellis now figure out any issues with it.
It's taken 3 grows to dial in timing and more so sturdiness but this idea of spinning a net like a spider web is coming around

Harvested, frozen fresh, then put into deep freeze in the Fall.
Recently, the haul was freeze dried and kept frozen.
Since late September these live plants have basically been in a cryogenic state.
Today, the haul was pulled from the freeze dry into 27 degree ambient temps then went from frozen to 215 degrees under 8 tons of pressure.













Pretty much wandering into that realm of realizing the future is now with how I grow and the extract lab.
