A Turkey In The Hay 🦃

So the buds have been hanging for 5 days, I filled up half a jar and put a hygrometer in it so I'll get an idea, but the humidity hasn't dipped below 70% in a week and it's in the 80s now, it's like walking around underwater here! I don't even think they're dry enough to stay lit if I try to roll one up, which I'm going to do later.

Been a while but I recall I want the buds at 58-62% then I'll put them in the Grove bags, I guess that's how Grove bags work? I've got to go back and read that thread.

It's amazing how much has changed in just 4 years since I left cannabis boards, folks were just starting to make the switch to leds en mass back then.

Finally saw who tore up my blackberry bushes not just the blackberries she tore up the plants she's eating thorn bushes!

it's that deer that stares in the windows at me with the big goofy ears, I just ran her off told her to come back hunting season 😡 that little bastard destroyed all my Blackberry plants
 
So my second grow here in Maine is in the bag! I got almost exactly 5 zips each of platinum Kush and Onyx Crush

So I bought this as a Christmas present for myself last December and despite smoking 95% hashish since then, in just the few times I've used this it broke recently. waste of money

I mentioned this because I initially posted somewhere about it working well and I couldn't find it so I wanted to mentioned it somewhere

You don't even want to know how angry I am, this new Boost Mobile account sucks!

To begin I lost more than half of everything including folders that I've accumulated for years when they transferred me from the old phone

Started building back a few folders over the last couple weeks and then the son of a bitch updated apparently overnight last night and it doesn't even look like my phone looks like a kid's phone, I can't even find my email yet

I have 30 days to get rid of this because I'm a Dish tv customer, so I'm getting rid of it.

Anybody live really way out in the sticks that has a provider that they can recommend?

I'm thinking about Consumer Cellular and maybe even going back to T-Mobile, anyone have any suggestions for rural phone carriers? Thanks
 
I wish I had good advice.
I hate cell phones. I don't want latest greatest or updates for what they are worth to me.
At my house which is not rural I will lose signal or not receive calls on the regular.
For me a cell is an emergency device. I actually still have a land line and do all this stuff from a computer [ low tech all the way~!]
Kind of glad I am not all wrapped up in my phone like I see so many others.
It is not just kids anymore around here.

oh man I don't need my coffee today! (Just kidding, always need coffee)

pisses me off that they can just arbitrarily change your phone like that! This site was gone too. I've calmed down, I try to never to get angry but wow was I mad this morning

I haven't had the internet in about 15 years so a phone is important to me particularly out here

I spent a little time and I got a few things figured out, still may keep the phone, still have a couple weeks to decide, I may have to get Wi-Fi, that might be the only way for me to have decent phone service out here
 
They always eat the berries but in 4 years no one's ever chewed the freaking Thorn bushes, some of them close to an inch thick

Most times they don't even go into the thicket but this crazy deer with the big ears I don't know what the deal is with her?

They're starting to grow back but it's going to be years before they're fruiting plants again

The blackberry plants were the only reasons I haven't had this area bush hogged yet and turned it into a bigger Garden so now I don't have that excuse I guess 🫤 going to miss those Blackberry pancakes20250727_110037.jpg20250727_110026.jpg
 
Young male, I've only seen a handful of males in the almost 4 years I've been here

The picture with three actually has four deer in it, but I know where it is and I still can't see it in the pic, it's just to the right behind the baby

Getting ready to go mow, and by getting ready I mean rolling my joint and getting my coffee LOL the hay is really slowed down now a lot of people have already cut they'll get a second harvest later this fall

I just paid $53 plus tax for one of those stupid 30-second oil filters for this John Deere

I have 25 hours on this lawn tractor in 2.5 years and it's already been in the shop twice! 🤬 would NOT buy John Deere again! Also from what I've heard about some of their business practices and what they've done to the American Farmer by trying to stop them from repairing their own tractors I'm very sorry I supported them with my purchase.IMG_20230730_120120__01~2.jpg
 
Just ordered my White Rhino seeds from Greenhouse seeds, I'm cracking them September 1st, maybe sooner, by the time they're ready to go in the tent the weather will be perfect! 🙂

Their white rhino is one of my favorites, I ran it for a few years back in 15 when I started growing again

The head was to the left by the way🤣 yes, I know it's a terrible picture I had a few more but this was the best. Not too bad for 4am

This is a small one earlier this year I saw one across the street that I would guess was 25 or 30 lb but it might have been the fluffed up needles that made it look so big 🤔I have a picture somewhere
 
95° today through Wednesday, then Thursday summer ends. Same as the last three Summers I've been here. I'll be taking my AC out of the window this weekend, get that beautiful Breeze coming down the field

A few hundred miles north of Boston makes a big difference! Our Springs are two weeks later, and our Falls are two or three weeks earlier, far as I can tell

And what condition will they be in after two 100° days?

They went from Southern Maine to Eastern Maine, I'm in north central so fuck me I guess

So I did get the seeds they only stayed in the mailbox a minute or two as I saw him deliver them but they traveled around my state for 4 days in 100° weather so I'm not happy about that, hopefully they weren't out in a truck in the sun, I'll find out I guess cuz I'm cracking em' tomorrow
 
So this is happening right now in front of the house

Apparently the pickup hit a tree about a half mile down the road

He fled the scene and they caught him where you see the two police cars, about a hundred yards up from my driveway

The tow truck driver filled me in on all the info, and his mother and stepfather pulled up and were telling me that he's got a drug and alcohol problem

so that might be why he took off running, and probably why he hit the tree in the first place

At least no one was seriously injured

My last run had a white rhino, loved the terpene profile!
 
She's still wearing her shell but she's turned up towards the light. This is a good exercise in leaving things the hell alone LOL I've done pretty well taking their shells off when necessary (I've also decapitated one or two) but this was one that doesn't need to be touched.

Thinking about brewing up a double espresso and then getting that heavy, old school air conditioner the hell out the window! It was 41° last night and with an air conditioner in it's like having the window open 🥶

Fourth year in a row I had it out around the middle of August, we're two or three weeks behind Boston in the spring, and ahead of Boston in the fall up here
