@Pipecarver LED's would be the way I would go if I grew in the summer, but in the winter I got to have the HID cuz I have to provide heat from either a heat or light source, and as far as I know HIDs run hotter than leds

What a nap I just had! I didn't even lay down for a nap, just laid down to watch TV and it's almost 4 hours later! 🤣

Drinking a spiked cappuccino got to go do a big wood fetch today, light snow 18° we were supposed to get to 21 but temps already going the other way

Did you get your new coffee maker yet, the French press?

I'm not sure if this is Mom and the twins but if it is it's bad news cuz there's only one twin.

Hunting season ended yesterday and I was hoping they made it, I even went out and ran interference for them once, when I get a minute I'll tell that story

I'll try to ascertain whether this is Mom and the twins or not, I'll know eventually, sadly I think it is.

I'm about 90% sure that was Mom and the twins, the remaining twin 😕

I support hunting it's a blessing for rural families, but in the case of mom and the twins I saw them newborn no bigger than Vizslas running around the field all summer

These were the two that when I accidentally walked up on them one of them basically jumped over my head a few weeks ago, so I'm sad to see one gone.

Right after hunting season started I went out first thing in the morning to see a repair I had made on the front of the house and I noticed two Hunters 100 yards down the hill parked on the fire road

5 minutes earlier I had seen Mom & the twins walk across the field heading down the lake for a drink

I immediately hit the garage door button cuz the deer know the sound of that opening and I went in the garage and started throwing firewood in my cart

I didn't blast the radio, didn't go out of my way to be loud, I was going about my normal business, the deer take notice when I'm around so I was trying to alert them, mom and the twins in particular. So at least I tried.

Pretty sure the hunters already had a deer anyway, you can't swing a cat up here without hitting a deer

Never got over 25 here today.
Same tomorrow with snow coming in the afternoon/evening.
Hoping to have Weds. off due to snow/rain.
Sure feels like winter.🥶

Is it a big storm for you on wednesday?

I used to work outdoors in the winter too, it's tough!

16° today's high, -5° tonight, prolly more like -8 on the hill

I dunno about snow, but I always expect it 🤣

They are saying an inch or so Tuesday, 2-3 with rain also on Weds.
I have worked outside winters since 1995.
You can find my picture in the dictionary next to slow learner.
I really love the sun so my time will come again.
 
Keeping it above 70 in the tent!🥳🍾 Fell asleep before I could throw a log on the fire, woke up to a cooold house, but tent didn't get any lower than 69°, so the little reptile heater is working!

I have a second 60w reptile heater I could add when it gets really cold, but might not need it

The wind makes it worse.
-3 this am and basically brutal until the sun came up. Would have been worse if it was windy.
Once the sun came up with no wind it was a nice day with the high getting to low 20's.
Funny I always thought if I moved to Maine, it would be worse in the winter, yet our weather matches up pretty close.
In the 2-8" range for snow tomorrow. Pretty wide range by the guessers.
I'll enjoy a mid week day off however it turns out.
Nice on balancing the tent temps.

Oh yeah I don't even try to deal with the wind anymore! my first year here we had wind chill of 40+below 0, I'd never been out in anything like that 🥶 cut right through my brown thermal coveralls

That same year it was 25° below with no wind at all and I went out to get firewood in a bathrobe, the difference was like night and day

We're getting snow tomorrow too and like yourself they're giving us a wide range, so I guess we'll see
 
Went to the market this afternoon ahead of tomorrows snowstorm, I always choke the fire down when I go out, there was a round log that rolled out of the coals and went out. I came home it was 64° in the house but only 59° in the grow tent! 😱 🤷🏻

Seasonal fire alllllmost went out tonight! 😱

Took a lot of fatwood to get it going but that's the same fire 🔥

Things are still warm & toasty on the hayfarm! 🙏🏻☺️

Yikes! Flurries all day but it's snowing for real now! ☃️

Four to six inches but it's supposed to turn to rain for a while around midnight and then freeze for the morning commute! 😕

5 to 9 inches so far in just a 5 mile range according to Ventuski.
Snowing hard still here and I am much closer to the 9 inches.

I got to start making hashish, I'll work on it this weekend. Forgot to make my holiday hash oil this year, I have a little left in the freezer somewhere but not much. I hate making hash but I love smoking it! Worth it!
 
I love hash also and have a set of screens and a tumbler.
I am going to make an alcohol extract/tincture like chemistry is.
Smoking is just getting the better of me.
That and thinking I could get way higher with an alcohol concentrate~! 🥳

I’ve been thinking the same. But the parts are so much more up here. Plus anything crossing the border these days is wicked pricey. One day, but not yet.

At least I got the tumbler finally. 👍

My only real problem is I am a smoker~!
I love smoking.
I quit cigars little ones and big ones a few years back.

Most days now I roll 4-6 joints before I go to work. Some days I make it home with 4 and some days none~!

Cigarettes I could always walk away from. But a pipe was nice. The tobacco reminded me of a great grandfather I had and an uncle. In my late twenties I used to fish/fly fish in waders with a wide hat and smoked the pipe to keep the mosquitoes at bay.

Wasn’t a fan of the large ones. But the cigarillos or Al Capones I still miss when sipping a brandy or whiskey.

Week days we jumped from two joints a night to 4+ when we started growing. Weekends could be silly.

Until this year we tried to maintain 4-6 from 3pm to 9:30pm. My wife loves smoking and when she tried to quit cigarettes she had me rolling more. This year it’s less often but still manage 4 joints or 4 vapes each evening unless feeling sick or have things to do.

We haven’t smoked/vaped since Sunday as she won’t smoke unless I do and I won’t smoke if I have business to deal with.

We started smoking again in 2000 or earlier. Half of a joint back then would do us both. Now we have to switch strains to notice a difference at times.

If only there were a cure for the lack of motivation after. 🤣

Buddy that got me into smoking said to get up and do shit in the first five minutes or you’re screwed.

All I have is one of those little pollen shaker cans, so I can only do about a quarter ounce of weed at a time so it's a pain in the ass

I have to let it freeze for 5 minutes in between shakes and blah blah blah it's a kind of a boring task

but I put on some music, roll up something to smoke and maybe even get myself a beer or Irish coffee or something along that line and make a night of it 🤷🏻

My wife and I used the Trim Bin a lot to shake fresh stuff. I also will freeze trim for a few hours and then put it back in the bin to shake.

I grew several GPS and never had a problem but that was with stock from a couple years ago.
Some of it was real fire weed~!

He's got a lot of good seeds right now, some of the old stuff from the cowboy series too, but they weren't feminized & I'm not really set up for regulars.

I've gotten some really good weed from Greenpoint too

I paid 15 or 18 bucks for six feminine seeds, gotta like the price!

I've got a couple of other strains here, I'm going to run two purple chem and two of something else, I'm going to mix it up

It’s in the box waiting in the garage. I tested it and had to tighten and adjust a few things. It was supposed to be a brand new Bubble Magic 150g Tumbler for $380CND and no tax. It took longer to get than I was promised so it missed our harvest by a few weeks.IMG_8131.jpeg

It was a sealed dusty box with no sign of being opened but once home the unit inside showed signs it had been used or a demo. I was going to complain but figured it was still a steal at $380 out the door. 🤷‍♂️

I used it on some of the trim I had and was ready to toss. Got a few more grams out of it in just a few 10 minute runs. Even let my son try it on his left over trim.

So I believe it’s still good and I’m happy with it but this next harvest will be the real test. 🤞

I only used it for a weekend on an old jar of 2023 larf and already shaken trim I had in the freezer.

I plan to use it with fresh trim and larf out in our bud room which isn’t heated.

The drum is about the size of a big coffee can and a half. I’d show you with pics but it’s a PITA in the cold getting into the garage. But I waited to get this for a few years now. Just couldn’t justify the $800! For less than $400 I think it’s worth it.

I will say it makes a bit of noise while running. Just the electric motor but I wouldn’t want to be in the same room trying to sleep. It would take a while to get used to if a light sleeper.

I'm going to be interested to see how it works, I could use something like that. I have issues smoking Leaf because of some lung problems and hash is much easier on me, normally I smoke hash from about this time of year until spring I just got lazy and didn't want to make it this year but I'm going to start today
