Heading for a cold snap, brought a heap of wood up the house day before yesterday but I think I'll go grab some more because today's 28° is as warm as it's going to be for a while

I just saw our flock of turkeys the other day inside the airport fence all nice and safe. Maybe 15-20 of them.
Sure enough the next day I see one odd ball all alone down on the side of my house crossing the road~! He did not look twice...
We'll see if he comes back or not.
Tuesday was the coldest just because of 40mph wind gust. Yesterday was alright even though same cold temp.
No wind and sunshine can make the difference in the world. I love the sun.
We're supposed to maybe see 30-40 sometime Tues-Weds maybe.
Just had oil tank filled for second time. Really only about a week earlier than usual even with different starting points each season.
Takes a special person to go out in this every morning before the sun is even up.

The turkeys are usually a couple miles up the hill, they're a rough crew!

I wish I had oil I don't like propane I still have both tanks almost full from when I moved in, but one will run tonight it usually runs when it gets down below 8°

I'm in a pretty good snow storm right now, couple more inches of fluff I guess

HUGE difference adding another 16-in pedestal fan into the small pantry room just off from the woodstove, it gets into the 80s in there due to the proximity and the new fan circulates that heat much better throughout the cooler side of the house

I had one there for the first few years, when it died early spring of last year I guess I didn't notice it as much as now during this bitter weather.

So one night a few weeks ago I'm freezing my ass off in the bathroom wondering why the other side of the house is so damn cold and then it hit me like a truck! I do like to be warm, so eventually I figured it out

Doesn't happen often, second or third time this year but I fell asleep with the fire low and I woke up in a cold house! takes a while to get the temp back up too

Everything's watered and I just put my last chunk of hash in the pipe, so I know what I'll be doing tomorrow
