Are you stockpiling cannabis seeds and genetics in preparation for the hemp law changes in November?

I haven't read the law precisely and am only going off internet reads.

Apparently, part of the new law going into effect in November will make it illegal to ship seeds. Some banks and breeders are having liquidation sales and get them while they're still around sales and promotions.
It feels a little like hype and reminds me of Y2K paranoia 25 years ago.

We were able to buy seeds, yes it was illegal, before weed or hemp was legal in any state. Even back in the 80s it was possible to send money to Amsterdam and in a month or two, you'd have seeds in the mail.
I'm pretty sure it's still illegal to ship international but it's still done. US Customs has their fair share of my seed orders prior to 2014 but since US banks popped up, I buy within these borders.
That comes to the next part, the legality of intercepting and opening domestic packages.
Does a bank really try to challenge this or do they all shutter?
In the before times and early days of the internet, seed banks were set up in chat rooms and list serves. They would be here today and gone tomorrow but surprisingly reliable getting orders.
Maybe that same infrastructure will become the mainstream on social media platforms but along with that comes too many scams and lies for me to even consider it an option. Back then it was a real deal network of growers. Today, there's more parasites than ever and SM is their hunting grounds.

Just kinda wondering where others may be with this.
I've enjoyed roughly 16 years of being almost transparent about growing and using weed but I also remember a time we had to walk between rain drops and speak in code if not totally fall off the grid to be able to grow our own.
I already have 3 desert island strains, well over 100 seeds of each but wouldn't mind a few more. Maybe a collection of 5-10 go-to solid cuts would be optimal. Variety has run it's course for me, knowing what I like and what to avoid.
If I need to stockpile, maybe I already have a decent head start but maybe every grow this year should have a breeding project mixed in for future security?
Going back to regular seeds is a minor hassle but there's also STS sprays out there to make our own fems.

With that in mind I was thinking of making some of my own seeds by just letting one male hit one or two females.
Not a full all seed harvest but get back more than I paid for.
Not breeding/ creating just letting stable genetics do their own thing.

While I always wish I had more choices in strains, I have enough seeds that I will never run out, just not a wide variety.

I've got a butt-ton of seed packs. 80 packs total. Nothing fancy and most of them came from GPS or Heisen's reverse auctions.

Then I have a vial of DFG's Modified Macberry Mooshine X Cherry Pie regulars that I could surely harvest pollen from if getting seeds became an issue. I believe those are my only regulars.

Also.. a little birdie says I'll be snagging all of Moe's genetic locker, soon. Not sure on all the numbers but he says "Tons of DFG gear and some Landrace stuff if you want to start breeding."

I've already told my wife st least 5 seperate times that I was done buying seeds for a while. I think last time I really meant it.

Seeds and clones have been sent in and out of the US for years, its not gonna stop now cause its "banned"

Plus I have 1000s of seeds amd most of them are regs lol

My best of all time have come from the second round of seeds from a pack.
It was almost routine in that we got a pack and immediately turned those 10-15 seeds into 1000 and from that 1000 came the best weed.
Even in my own stash, it's the F2 I prize the most and dip into when I pop them.
Never called it breeding or anything like that because true breeding takes years. It was always "making more seeds"

Prices are bad enough, I figure better get the ones I want before someone makes my mind up that I kant.....
Or they use it for pric gouging....

I have a lot of GPS too but I consider it a net zero. Even the old stuff in white packs. There may be something in there but way too unreliable.
Germ rates on those old white packs were not that great and that was back when they were fresh.
Hesien stuff just creeps me the fuck out. Instagram weed made by a groomer. All that discord shit is groomer central really. Groomers and the groomed. If you don't know which, you're the one that's been groomed hahaha! Naw, fuck all that stuff.

There's also some predictions and maneuvering that's leading many to believe in federal legalization in 2028 and reclassifying weed.
I pretty much don't trust anything when it comes to this stuff but it also feels like a way to wipe the board clean on pricing and availability.

I'm always cautious of manufactured exclusivity but it could very well be paranoia.

If you take most of the production of weed away and make hemp illegal it will spike the price and the black market will seize the opportunity.
But then bring it back legally and controlled in a way that the government has say in who gets to grow and sell resets the market and redirects profits from black market to supplier and tax collector, both roles the government seems to want to control.
It shouldn't jive in a free and capitalist economy but we're way past all that and are wading neck deep in government control of private business already.

I’m just making my own crosses. Of thousands of seeds I’ve grown most are mediocre. Ive just chosen the loudest and best and are going from there. Most breeders don’t even do any stabilization. F1’s with many phenotypes. I think people just saw dollar signs and started shucking out all sorts of strain combos whether they were good or not. I’ve got a chit ton of seeds to grow but most are in storage. I just want the best now period. I am not going to panic and start buying seeds. I’m good haha.

I don't interact or anything on reddit, just lurk, but have bought seeds from a few.
IDK if I'll contact that one. In other pics there was the original Green Crack and some Stomper stuff. Looks like mostly house cuts of Northern Cali sensi.

There's a few I feel like I'm missing and kinda thinking along the lines of plan for the worst but hope for the best.
Cheap fems seeds has been nice to grow for filling coffers but what I have in them isn't really worthy of a doomsday vault where I buy a pack of 10 and turn it into 100 seeds doing an isolated pollination.
Vietnamese is in the bag as well as an excellent lemon diesel hybrid that came from Bodhi stock.
Gonna find an Afghani or hash plant and a northern lights. I may have those already in HPs but will look for old NL#5.
Will tap Mandala and Bodhi to start and maybe look to Ace for some stuff too. African hazes need to be in my vault for sure
