Just bad news I want to ignore ;bo

last weekend of racing on Prime and if anything was learned from this streaming experiment, there was magic in unexpected places

Trying to get a good picture of my garden here but it's been sketchy

TIL the NASCAR street race will likely be in San Diego in 2026. Something tells me the Whale's Vagina 150 is a race I need to take in live.

Speaking of racing, anybody else see this on the news?

Still working on that garden shot. In the meantime, some opera

Bought some new seeds!
The dude at the hydroshop gave me such a great deal I had enough left over to have a super model show them off to Y'all!

PS:
Team Outlaw - 43
Team Tree Rat- 1

What can I say. They snuck one in on me when I had my 3rd team and walk-ons out there and snagged a mater outside the fence. but then the asshole had the nerve to leave the skin sucked dry but still standing up on the fence line like a trophy and to taunt me.
I'm like so..Fucking scoreboard motherfucker!!!
Nothing worse than some asshole celebrating when they're down by 40 ;pass

so what did hocevar say? i saw he was fined today but couldn't find the comment that got him in trouble.
it's been a couple weeks now where i mute the tv and just listen to the scanner only. i really can't stand letart.. as soon as he gets slightly excited his voice gets so high and whiny. it's like nails on a chalkboard to my ears and i really wish JR would just slap him and tell him to speak like a man!! i mean even when they break off to the girl, her voice is deeper than his!!!!

so if somethings said on tv broadcast i probably won't hear it till feburary.

good hot weather here this weekend, pocono should be greasy!!!! no rain in the forecast so fingers crossed!!!! i saw JR is gonna try his hand at crew chief on saturday.

Fucking tree rats. Yeah see how well that supersquirrel suit holds up against a Kia!!!;drive

Hocevar called Mexico a shithole country in an interview and said all sorts of bad things about the track and travel arrangements when it turned out he hadn't even left Michigan yet, just repeating shit he had read.
In some ways, a lot of ways, he was right IMO but it's at a time where diplomacy is needed since next year has no contract down there yet. He pretty much planted a turd in the living room of the house the sport is trying to sell and it will take some schmoozing.
The worst though came from Stenhouse's spotter. He's been fired after fabricating a story about getting mugged or some shit and saying the same things, bagging on Mexico as a whole then turns out he never even left his hotel room. The whole thing seemed planned when he went online in a rant playing the victim laced with racisim and tropes. Got found out and since deleted everything and got fired.

I enjoyed the Mexico race a ton. The Xfinity race was way better than Cup with SVG dominating it. Xfinity put on a super competetive race. SVG helped me out a ton in the pool so I aint mad!! Funny AF so many picked Suarez.;giggle
Woulda loved to be there. Mexico is just a place where people are either very rich or very poor with no middle class so there's a lot of slums to get thru before you find the gems. Some get it and some don't. Those that don't probably haven't been to very many different places and seen some of the shit in this world and this country too.

I'm looking forward to the next series of broadcasts and don't mind these guys too much. Too much to like to find anything I don't like. "Pancakes!" always makes my wife and I giggle when that comes on. The other race-centric commercials are enjoyable too. Better than reality show promos or those weird religious streaming channels Fox promotes.
I like Adam A and I suppose kinda tune out Letarte because I'm not sure I notice him at all but nobody ruins my experience.
If you want bad though...the track announcers in Texas are super bad! They call the race like it's TMZ show or some shit then I'm happy I can't hear them over the cars.
My fave though is coming with Leigh Diffey. That guy brings the class!
I also liked the podium deal in Mexico. Wouldn't mind seeing that at every road course.

Yeah heat, gladi don't have to deal with it like down there. I know my 820 is hot....

I finally vented the room into the shop, it was a shitty gardening experience with the tent pumping on top of ambient...so I can only guess about down your way.....

i'm happy to say the squirrels haven't been much of an issue this year, other than sneaking in and eating some chicken food they've been pretty quiet around the fruit trees, i think maybe that stuff is working alright, gotta put more out today, just waiting for quick t-storm to roll through and then i'll put the rest of it down.. i only need to hold em off for like another week.. getting very close to pickin time!!!!

tha stuff only worked on the deer for a couple days though, i've seen deer under the trees everyday. they're funny, i'll walk out on the porch and yell hey those are my peaches!!.. they just look up at me chewin on a peach!! haha

.

i figured Hocevar must have said something political by your post.. i don't have much to say about any of it man, it's their world i just live in it.

.

man if your grow is that warm with AC then i'm afraid to even ask how hot it is there? triple digits?

things are about to get uncomfortable here..
Capture.JPG

it should be a little cooler in the poconos though. i put our A/C units in yesterday. well i got one more to go in the dining room but it's small and really easy to set in, i have it on the floor just under the window being lazy!

.

your trellis looks to be working well!!!! those are some tall glasses of milk you have!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude...82 isn't hot at all! That's pretty much ideal and doesn't get much better than that.
91-93 is the actual tipping point where effects get very challenging because even mild ferts can burn up a plant and the more sativa there is in the genetics, the more she can burn.
95-97 is the catch 22. You can't feed because it will burn but they'll also starve for lack of food.
Nobody really gets into this shit because nobody crosses these lines but there it is.
The biggest thing hurting me right now is I shoulda put all the sativas into 7 gallon pots and leave the indicas in 5s and a routine of daily temps between 91 and 95 with dark times in the high 80s.
Meanwhile this climate is also changing from tropical to desert over time with the biggest jump happening back in 2014 and a continuation of gradual transition to desert dry air so where RH was once always mid 50s to 70s, our Summers are getting to be more like Las Vegas being very hot and dry.

I'm at the point where I'm pretty sure I can use a swamp cooler in a grow room. That's pretty much unheard of given their humidity output but here I am.

i'm happy to say the squirrels haven't been much of an issue this year, other than sneaking in and eating some chicken food they've been pretty quiet around the fruit trees, i think maybe that stuff is working alright, gotta put more out today, just waiting for quick t-storm to roll through and then i'll put the rest of it down.. i only need to hold em off for like another week.. getting very close to pickin time!!!!

The grow room doesn't get the AC here. I'll turn it on low to dry but for growing the AC in that room stays off.
I could turn it on but if I do I start getting into the tier system and paying more for electricity so only humans and pets get the cool AC here. Plants have to deal with the heat.
I run my lights at night to offset but that's becoming a problem with lights off temps being greater than lights on. Ever hear of a room running 91 at lights out and 88 with lights on? Well you have now!
There is no cool down really. If it rains, it rains hot water so might as well grab some soap and get a free shower outside.
95/75 25% RH is the routine right now for the rest of the month. That 75 comes at around 2-7am then the warm up begins all over again. By 4th of July we'll be in the daily triples and high 80s at night.
It's just a very daunting challenge growing indoors here. It's why there's far more buyers than there are growers and the grow shop has a shit ton of used but almost new gear.
I got offered to demo the AC Infinity Terraform with a buy in on my part of only $550 but I declined for now. Great deal and I could use it but if I won't turn on the room AC now I sure as hell don't wanna turn that thing on instead. I have 4 small swamp coolers so that will be my next play, adding one or two just to take the edge off and drop temps at least during dark hours.

Good to hear the deer are staying away. Seeing a peach hanging with it's bottom eaten off woulda had me go nuclear and start spraying coyote pee everywhere or something

Yeah ol Carson cant seem to get out of his own way here lately. He fucked over the entire field with that late caution Sunday so he's on probably 30-35 drivers' shitlist right now instead of just Stenhouse.
I'd love to see Stenhouse come and try to swing on him after those threats and that may happen this weekend! We have trucks, Xfinity, Cup and Stenhouse vs Hocevar on the undercard.
I'm taking Carson because I think that fight will be a little like

spaceballs-short.gif

I became a fan of Hocevar when he was driving trucks and raced with a broken leg and full leg cast. Seen him hang out with fans in the stands during races too.
Just said some dumbass shit, got fined, had a helluva apology after so it's all good.
Kinda wish he'd get more gear made because Spire doesn't have shit but maybe a tshirt. I've been wanting a #77 flat bill hat. I'm also secretly hoping and been praying to baby Jesus that at some point very soon, Busch goes to 23XI or retires and Hocevar gets the #8 🤞

oh thats awesome man.. well not that its that hot but that you don't use the AC anymore!!

i can deal with a hot day, but when it doesn't ever cool down i would struggle with that man, mentally and physically. yeah i'm sure one could get used to it but i don't think i could. and i don't care if it's humid or not, heat is heat to me!

oh they're not!! hahaha, it worked for a day or two and they were right back at em.. they've eaten all the low hangers already, i'll get whats left. it's keeping the tree rats at bay though, haven't seen any fuzzy tails in the tress at all.

there are things i could do to keep the deer away but to be honest we like watching them in yard everyday so if all that takes is a few peaches so be it. all the fawns are running around this time of the year. i've always felt that everything outside even if i put it there belongs to them and the rest of nature. all the inside things belong to us!!! haha

idk, ricky look scrappy!!! hahaha if he still had a mullet i bet he could take him.

so many famous people have said some pretty stupid stuff over the years and nobody even remembers it.. theres just another new idiot in line to say something new and even more stupid... no shortage on stupid people in this world!!! i'm one of em.. my mouth has gotten my ass in trouble more than once in my life!!!

I'm also secretly hoping and been praying to baby Jesus that at some point very soon, Busch goes to 23XI or retires and Hocevar gets the #8 🤞

so not that i really care about big bush or anything,, but why does she suck so bad now? when larson was a rookie that dude was unstoppable.. like no matter how bad the car was between him and the crew they could always get it shaped up enough to pull out a top ten. now it seems like he struggles to pull up a top 20.. and it started before she left gibbs... in fact if she was still winning she'd still be at gibbs!!! i don't get it.. is it the new cars? does he suck that bad at aero that he can't make a car build speed.

I'm of the opinion that Busch while talented and definitely driven, has been very over rated beginning with the JGR era and really lucky being in the right place at the right time. This is just pretty much based off the documentary Rowdy and what I've seen since becoming a fan.
I would say the 2022 Bristol Dirt Night Race was the epitome of his career when Reddick and Briscoe were clearly the fastest and best on the track that night but that late over steer by the 14 wrecked them both allowing Busch who was pretty far back in 3rd to get the checker.

There was a trajectory of possibly being the best Cup driver ever, but his time at Hendricks and especially the death of Ricky Hendrick, the one person who could rein him in, broke him and emboldened that Prima Donna, treat everybody like a second class pleb attitude of his.
He was quicker than most to figure out the Gen7 car and get wins as well as RCR in those early days of the new car but now everything has caught up and both that team and driver are middle of the pack good.
He's peculiar to me and I kinda like him the more I've learned because he's the full spectrum of human. He can be a dickhead to co-workers but also very thoughtful and extremely kind and patient with his fans. Had success and failure along the way handling some of it with class and some of it about as stupid as one could handle it.
Watching him race now being humbled having to work with people he's burned bridges with is interesting. It's gotta be hard for both and I respect that because to be able to do that means people have set aside differences in order for the greater good to win a championship. It's coming up well short for that effort and it's there where I won't get mad if he gets a win this year. I was hoping he won at COTA earlier the way he ran that race but just wasn't meant to be.

Yeah not a day goes by where somebody doesn't say something stupid. We all do it but athletes and celebrities get drug when they do it. Words are not an issue for me. It's actions to deny access or service and oppression based off race, sex, handicap, etc where I draw the line at true bigotted behavior.
NASCAR is super fun and exciting but at the same time we're also fans of some dumb ass hicks at times.
There's always somebody tracking every little fucking thing these guys do to try and run with the "See I told you NASCAR is full of nazis!" headline meanwhile that same person will find racism in ways it does not exist. People right now are trying to cancel anybody with the number 88 it's gotten so stupid. Sorry but 88 has been on jerseys and cars long before it became a symbol for hate. When I look at that I begin to realize those who cry racist are often racist or prejudice on their own and are projecting. Like nobody here thinks 88 means anything else than a number so WTF is up with YOU thinking it's a symbol of hate is how I see that.
I find myself in these conversations and it's eye opening at times. Had a talk once with a gay guy who lives on my street, oddly enough talking about a flag that was stars and bars along with gay pride going viral online in our city. Found out then the gay community is loaded with racists. Who knew? I know of a few white supremacist Mexicans too. How does that even work?
The best conversations though happened during the mess that was 2020 and it's really helped me...
There's things I can say in my home that you cannot say in my home.
There's things you can say in your home that I cannot say in your home.
There's nothing wrong with that and it's perfectly fine. It's human. If anything, it teaches us what to leave at home and what to bring with us when we leave the home.
Home rules are like Vegas..What happens at home stays at home. One example are tropes my wife and I use when talking about our dogs or when critters get in our yard. But those words stay here and I don't ever use them outside my home. I also quote George Jefferson from the Jeffersons and Dave Chapell a lot and my wife gets in a sorta shock when I do because I'm pretty much being a racist to myself and it trips my wife out. I just tell her yeah I know some people would freak out but those words will never offend me and I find them pretty funny and sometimes, very true.

Another that helps me is a simple phrase but very hard to do and that's being comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. No matter what it is when the shit hits the fan and you can find comfort there, you will persevere.
Just a couple things I've learned from sitting in on seminars about success in sports when people come talk to our football team about current events and mental health and navigating thru them in life.

FuckN-A I'm getting long winded here....Back to growing some pot!

Yeah I'm a most stingy bastard there is when it comes down to using AC in my grow room. I'll only turn it on during ripening and to dry a harvest and when I do I also turn my lights down low or off to offset the electric use.
I'm gonna freeze the bottles for swamp coolers today then put one in and watch the monitor and see how it does. Gonna shut down the exhaust too or run it very slow. The exhaust is the main reason I don't fill the room with cool air as well. Dont wanna cool down the attic space!

I'm planning my next grow as well.
The tables have helped me to corral indicas and sativas to grow together but now I'm seeing some other things to change to make that work in warm weather.
Indicas are so ez and forgiving I'm thinking 5 gallon pots and any decent premium soil will do very well. So I got some Happy Frog soil for them and will continue doing what I've been doing but not spending so much to care for them.

Sativas will get expensive to grow for me now. I'll use 7 gallon pots for them and will also use a premium coco base soil bought online and delivered.
I was really close to buying Stonington again at $40/bag but if I'm gonna spend that I'm also gonna shop around. So in doing that, I know what I get out of Stonington and it's the safe bet but Organics Mechanics has come on my radar so next grow with have sativas in OM's 110 Blend and indicas in Happy Frog with OM's Biochar blend mixed into it.

Also an updaate on the grow bags I'm using to replace airpots. They work fabulous but I'm gonna start cutting them off before I stick them in the dirt. I don't see them degrading at all so I'm not sure if they decompose. If they do it's not quick. Roots punch thru just fine but if these are nylon which is plastic, I don't want it in there.

Gratuitous pic of the freaks today before upcanning! They're turning it on now!
Anybody else see that sale Hi Elevation is having? 40% off to get your freak on!!!

Hey, How much is racism & bigotry and How much is tribalism?. We as humans form groups and those not in our groups are not trusted. Add odd smelling food, different color skin different beliefs ect. We have rivalries between teems on opposite sides of towns and they can hate one another because they like another team or live on another block. We'll never get rid of tribalism, were just not built that way......you guys down south there say " You all " down there a lot different than we do up here and You all say it weird....just saying...lol....racism? bigotry? We won't go on about..." aboot " at this point....eh

ooops reason I came here and my stoned mind forgot

Lol...I think those on that ladder must be military, all look same age same size, a nerve test. I don't think you'd find that many all same tourists climbing that ladder at the end. That takes some level of fitness and nerve...like fk me not on your life would I and I thought I had some balls....at one point..just a big NOFKIN way..unless at the end of a gun.

You’ve grown using so many techniques and are constantly tweaking and experimenting with improvements that I’m curious whether you’ve tried, or considered trying, living soil? After the initial cost, would re-amending and reusing living soil make sense for the sativas? I’m not questioning anything you’re doing. I’m just leaning towards living soil, myself, and I’m curious about any cons or pros you see with living soil and your personal grow style. I’m also soaking up what I’m seeing with the no-veg methods. Maybe there’s reason to steer clear of that with living soil?

I have a terrible fear of heights and get vertigo easily. Tried to cure it while in the Army by going to rappelling school for Rangers and while I got thru it and our team even won the thing, jumping off a 900' mountain face first along with dozens of other rappels at shorter heights still didn't cure me.
No way I'm getting on that shy ladded. I'm looking for the elevator even if it's the next country over. ;smoke

Great question Bob!
I've done living soil in the past and still do it to a certain degree.
There's many ways to do that, anything from No-Till to Hugelkultur on the extreme side to simply relying on compost teas throughout.

I once had a large garden bed in my room. 4'x8'x2' loaded up with about 300 gallons of soil and 1000 worms to start then ther began breeding and multiplying so it was also a worm farm. It worked well and I ran two grows doing that but it wasn't for me in the end.
One issue I have is bugs. I don't get them every grow but I've had my battles and each time we go to war, after I change my soil.
I'm learning some things about that though in how just because it gets infested indoors doesn't mean they'll stay alive outdoors so soil gets recycled for outdoor use.

The thing about trying and doing a lot of different things is that I've been able to cherry pick what I like best and create a plan. Talking about tribalism LOL....you have hydro vs soil then you have somebody like me blurring those lines.
I don't talk about this much but I believe in a thing I call Ocean Grown.
I'm gonna keep a long story short here...When OG Kush came to life in SoCal in the early 90s there were two growers who had it, one up north and one south. The grower up north proclaimed the cut to be "Mountain Grown". In response, the second grower from down south called his "Ocean Grown".
Where this hit home for me was my family growing up in Norcal used stuff like salmon, steelhead, and trout fish guts and crab parts my grandpa pulled from the ocean and was mixed with things like chicken, goose, and duck poop in the compost.
When I heard Ocean Grown, I thought at first it was growers doing what my family was doing but it was just a story about a strain.

Then when I decided to grow on my own in Texas, I did everything under the Sun I could to learn how to grow indoors, what simply works and what works great.
I loved hydro. Flood and drain or using coco was my jam and it came ez.
Coco hydro was a deal that started to open me up about a transition into organics. It was there to be had and everything made too much sense for it to not work.
So I got into coco based organics, soil, SIP, living soil, True Living Organics which is about layering, and more.
Eventually things started to cross over and things I learned doing hydro were able to be done in organics. Progress a little more and Ocean Grown then becomes a philosophy in how to manage a root zone.
Part of that is a living soil. The other part is how a living soil forms a symbiotic relationship with ocean borne critters decomposing and giving new life to the soil, something I saw growing up on the California coast.
I saw it again working with aquaponics. This peculiar relationship between Earth and water borne life working together. Like who knew red wiggler worms and goldfish could work in the same factory together? I was amazed by it.
Today, Ocean Grown is a way of life for me. Everything I feed is derived from the ocean and I make a point to not use salts so they soil can be used aagin if not to grow weed then veggies and flowers outside. Coco base is preferred far above the common peat base. Absolutley no by-products from the lumber industry such as sawdust in the soil and no sand in the mix. This somewhat anal retentive list of approved ingredients limits the choices greatly because the weed growing industry pretty much relies on salt and decompsed wood for soil.
Another part is soil volume working as a pH buffer meaning the less the soil there is, the more pH adjustment would be needed in the water being used. This reduces the need for adjusters and gets nature to work it's magic.
Regular use of compost teas and microherd inoculant providing the life source while the ocean borne goodies feed both the plant and microherds.
Next, I take that and try to find the best way to apply it to the genetics and there's where I'm learning to fine tune it for indicas and sativas.
It's only been recently that I've truly made the effort ot get better at growing sativas indoors. I'm behind the curve having grown nothing but indicas and polyhybrids for so long so that's where you see me today is trying to fine tune Ocean Grown to make sativas happy in my room

Wow, man! Thanks for the thoughtful response and wonderful insight. Reading about your Ocean Grown philosophy reminded me of a gut feel I had after using an ocean amendment, last year. I had started out using insect frass in compost teas and top dressing as a source of chitin for the microbes. The plants responded well to the teas and I knew I’d continue that in some form.

Later in the season, I tried substituting crab meal for the insect frass. It could have been any number of things going on, at that time, but it seemed like the plants liked the crab meal even more than the frass. There’s no science in one observation from an all over the place first grow. Sometimes my gut just kicks in and I start leaning one way until I fall over or pick up steam 😂.

Right now, my pots are too small to maintain a living soil. I purchased the Build-a-Soil 3.0 and it seems to be quality stuff. I plan to try buying their amendment, or collecting ingredients for a similar recipe, to “recharge” and reuse the current soil. If that works out, I’ll have another grow or two to learn from, before trying to plan what I think I want in a grow rood. Right now, I like the idea of Autopot’s tray2grow system with the large containers geared towards living soil. That doesn’t mean I’ll end up there. I’ll overthink it without enough personal experience and a gut impulse will suddenly fast track me down some path. I’m lightyears from trying to recognize strain specific needs, but know I want to try a hand at some landrace sativa like @Costanza has mentioned.

Thanks again for sharing your experience and grow evolution. Concert night! Charles Wesley Godwin in Charlottesville. Gonna hit Costco and buy some of that bulk iso, lol. Any other grow goodies you recommend from there? It’s only an every couple of month haul for us, due to distance. And non-perishable only, this trip.

'm of the opinion that Busch while talented and definitely driven, has been very over rated beginning with the JGR era and really lucky being in the right place at the right time.

I was hoping he won at COTA earlier the way he ran that race but just wasn't meant to be.

his championship year was when i gained respect for hm. i still don't like him but i think he's a great stock car driver. he rarely has spun out in his career. i feel he's one of the best at taking an uncomfortable car and keeping it right on the edge without going too far.

i like how he almost never races dirty. i do like the fact that he races a tit for tat mentality!!

when larson just came into cup the 18 was at the top of his game and bested larson every time. it was frustrating even as a fan and is what set my dislike for the dude. by time larson got better busch sucked by then and never got to beat him when his was on top.

i know one thing, Brexton busch is gonna be a force to be reckoned with in the future! did you ever listen to him coach his kid?, he's almost great at it! he has so much patience and keeps him from acting dumb. his kid carry's himself well for a young man and looks to be raised as a fine human being!

larson's son is just the opposite and will find himself in military school like Jr did when he was little!!!!

idk.. i just find it odd how a driver fell off the map so quick with so much potential. and ya know after that whole ricky fight last year made me laugh so much it's like i almost have some mercy for the guy now. plus him not being in the spotlight every single week i just don't hate as much.

Yeah not a day goes by where somebody doesn't say something stupid. We all do it but athletes and celebrities get drug when they do it. Words are not an issue for me. It's actions to deny access or service and oppression based off race, sex, handicap, etc where I draw the line at true bigotted behavior.

oh kinda like when a grower only uses the really high quality soil for sativas? you ganja racist!!! hahahahahaha sorry it sounded funnier in my head!!!

NASCAR is super fun and exciting but at the same time we're also fans of some dumb ass hicks at times.

man you should have seen it when dick trickle and buckshot jones were around!!!!! ya know dick trickle drove the badcock sponsored car!!!! hahaha

There's always somebody tracking every little fucking thing these guys do to try and run with the "See I told you NASCAR is full of nazis!" headline

i remember a few years ago when that big busch fight that harvick started happened on pit road one of the football announcers(don't remember his name but its the fuckhead that never called the redskins the skins ever and was happy when then they were forced to change names. a fight broke out in the football field and this announcer kept sating hey it's not nascar.. i'm like you fucker, there are fights on a football field somewhere in america almost every single weekend!!! and he kept saying it for two weeks.. at least try to be professional. i don't like baseball but i don't talk trash about the sport!

nascar always gets such a bad rap and i never understood why.. i have friends that always make fun of it " oooh left turn haha" assholes!! hahaha but they like drag racing.. that one i don't get how ya gonna make fun of a series that turns left when your sport doesn't even turn at all!!! wtf?!?

i like all racing i don't care what it is... when i was working in china we used to watch the guys racing with wheel barrels full of shit to dump it in the river every morning. nothing like rooting for third world country sewage transfer!!!!!!! hahaha

Home rules are like Vegas..What happens at home stays at home.

i like that saying!!!! might adopt that one!!

FuckN-A I'm getting long winded here..

man i almost missed the truck race check in yesterday!!!!! i was like oh shit it's on already, caught it with three laps to go!!!! been rooting for my man malcolm in the middle!! he's had a rough go the past few weeks.. he lacks a little race knowledge is kinda just raw but he reminds me of the story Rudy. the little underdog that is trying so hard and even though he gets pantsed he's still upbeat at the end and so thankful he's just in the position. i root for an underdog quite often.

i'm watching the xfin race now.. well listening to it. got the 88 team on the scanner for jr's chief debut. he's on point at the moment!!! i'm like you when it comes to jr... i respect him a ton for what he does for racing and how he takes so much into consideration. he wasn't always my favorite. but i had a close friend that was a big jr fan so i was brainwashed to not hate him from his rookie year!! haha funny, i saw that buddy in the grocery store yesterday.. i was picking out a watermelon and hear from the other end of the produce somebody yelling stoneyluv!!!! i looked up and yelled back EZ in a deep voice!!! people all looking weird at us!!!! hahahaha

ya know when you told me about creepy kyle i was disappointed, i mean i never liked him but always respected the stuff he did outside of cup for the sport of racing and the whole victory junction and all that.

looks hot at pocono.. it's 93 at my place.. usually 4-7 degrees cooler in the mountains up there. i'm in the AC.. fk that!! hahaha

Right on man I hope concert night was awesome!

Crab meal is pretty much a religion for me. Liquid or dry, I haven't met a crab meal I don't like. Don't even matter if it's big and chunky and fine like sand or even liquid, plants gobble it up. Nature's source of calmag and yep one of the best sources of chitin around.

You can do living soils in smallish container, minimum I'd do would be 5 gallons, it just runs like a tank of gas and wears out then needs to be replenished with tea and top dressings. Also need to keep an inoculate like Great White around and apply it about every 2 weeks. Dry back or drought will also cause it to need resetting.
If an infection sets in from something like overwater then like hydro, an enzyme needs to be brought in to clean it up then reset the microbial life..

There's a ton of really good organic and living soil plans out there.
I have my own version of a Hugelkultur going on here with my only in ground garden project.
About 2' down in the pit is a decent size rotting log.\
Above it is a mix of native clay soil, worn out potting mix, 4lbs biochar, an old bag of dry bloom nutes, and 2 bags of new Happy Frog soil conditioner

IMG_1636[1].jpeg

Gonna just keep adding compost and stuff to it like a gumbo. It will be a pepper patch when it's ready.
Another type of living soil garden I'd like to build and try is a keyhole garden

Smoking that haze I get to rambling!!!
That is one thing I respect a ton about KFB is he's had more than a few times to punt somebody into the wall and go steal a win but hasn't.
Jr. just out there living the dream this weekend.
Couldn't have had a better Sunday with the 19 winning, great meal, and the governor vetoed the ban on consumable THC!!!

My bags of Pennsylvania Pot Snob soils came in for my fancy pants sativas. This stuff is coming from an area Southwest of Philly

I only got one bag of this because like the lobster compost, will make tea and stretch it out

Hehehe...a couple months ago Costco put their wet dry vacs on sale for $20 off so I figured why not and got a new one for the g/room.
Since it's a Dewalt, I couldn't resist

have you noticed the price of crab meal has gone through the roof lately?

i'm kinda hoping i just went shopping at the wrong time and these aren't the new low prices.. i used my last bit up on the new crop and didn't have anymore for an upcan so i was forced to buy from an unknown source... i like the neptunes much better and think i'm gonna spend the extra money next time. this is too finely ground for my liking, i like the slow release from the chunkier stuff.

man i know that name organic mechanics from somewhere but i can't quite put my finger on it... it'll come to me sooner or later..

i feel so blessed with my small wood stove out in the garage, i can make bio char any time of the year. i never mix a batch without it.. especially when i reuse soil!!! not making it today though... it's fuckin 101° outside right now!! i'm inside!

.

Jr was all fired up wasn't he?!?! they were jumping up and down in the box with four laps to go yet!! hahaha
good for him, glad to see it!! i think he did a great job at it!! that car has some serious win ratios this year, no? like didn't they only lose one race with that car this year? i don't follow xfin as much so i could be wrong...

.

my buddy has that same vac and loves it!! i have their ac/dc wet/dry, the smaller one and that thing is freakin awesome for small jobs!! you'll appreciate that power!!! just don't suck your buds up!!!! hahaha

i can see it now.. i remake of the friday movie, blowing smoke in the wet vac!!!! hahahaha

.

how bout that 19!!!! so glad he didn't run out of gas!!!!! thats a long ass last lap to hold your breath on!!!! hahaha i had the 11 in the pool and i think i actually move up a spot this week.. been stuck at that 4-6 spot all year but the top two had a rough week so it tightens everybody up a little closer. i don't think anybody is out of it yet, even last place could catch up in a few weeks!!

i feel so blessed with my small wood stove out in the garage, i can make bio char any time of the year. i never mix a batch without it.. especially when i reuse soil!!! not making it today though... it's fuckin 101° outside right now!! i'm inside!

Zillich has been in the 88 all season. I think that's his 2nd win and 1st was at COTA. Zillich is probably my favorite driver coming up but also like pretty much anybody and everybody in a JRM ride and Jesse Love over at RCR. Zillich is also a road course ace.
I like Xfinity a lot but get a little tired of Cup guys coming down to it. HMS and JGR invest a ton to get wins and so does JRM but JRM is also bringing up young drivers and not just trying to plug in ringers for wins and owner championships. It's also tilted super heavy to Chevy. Like maybe less than 5 Fords and Toyotas each and the rest is Chevy.
Down in trucks yeah it's hard not to cheer for Malcolm In The Middle. Dude invests a ton to do it all for the love of doing it. Respect for Friesen ya know...grass roots race team like many of them. My fave though is prolly Ben Rhodes. He's like a Noah Gragson starter kit. Corey Heim is elite and will probably jump to Cup next year.
Kinda weird for Briscoe to be talking like there was a must win race this season which yeah, kinda expect at least one but dang it got me thinking if he's in a must win spot WTF is going on with guys like Gibbs and Bubba. Who Bubba I can thank for fucking me oh so hard in the pool after a steady month of two steps forward one step back. Thanks for the 30 steps back Bubs.

Yep a box of crab meal in 2017 was $14 and today it's $24. Liquid is double, $18 to $36

i don't know what it was then that i heard... it was the clowns on tv a few weeks back so who knows man, i only heard it didn't read it.. maybe it wasn't jr's car... i don't know... like i said i don't really watch it, only if larson's running or something special with somebody or a next new great driver makes a debut. i like watching rookies!!! haha

oh man how can ya not root for ben rhodes!!! are you kidding me?!?! after his championship race he got so drunk and even showed up to the press table with a beer!!!! hahaha if you haven't seen it look for his award speech they have in suit and tie from 2021 i think it was.. he brings a beer to the speech and sets it on the podium!! haha the whole place lit up man!!!!!

i think maybe most of these guys floating around the cut line this time of year just feel it's a must win.

yea i think hamlin and bubba are the only two drivers i don't like anymore and root for them to hit the wall every single race!!! haha

i had been paying $34 for the 12 pound bag for a few years.. now i look and it's over $55 for delivery!!! i have enough for this round and probably the next two but i need to do some shopping. or maybe this gives me the opportunity to finally build a crusher that i've always wanted to just make my own. we eat enough crab and oysters to make my own meals from them. i always just chuck em outside and always think damn i should be using this somehow. i need to look into how the pros do it and see if i can scale it down for me. they have these diy rock smasher that small time fine dust gold miners make i wonder if that would work?? i need to put the thinking cap on!!

I think that is indeed the latest version of the VG.
I printed a handful of them to use up the last of a "Sith" spool of filament. I'm wanting to send them to ya to pass out to others or yeah go ahead and print new ones. I'll try to get these out soon though...

It's funny because I'm pretty much the same way with those two drivers. Like drivers have to go pretty far out of the way for me to find something to dislike and Hamlin and Bubba make it ez. Not too fond of Ty Gibbs either. Logano can be 50/50 when he's not being a bitch.
I probably wouldn't get along with my favorite drivers except maybe Noah. Briscoe is way too clean cut for me and I know he'd think I was the devil after a day hanging out here. Larson strikes me as an asshole off track I'd probably want to punch after a few hours hanging around him. His wife seems cool though. But Hamlin and Bubba are just exceptional doosh nozzles.

Indoors, traits are really starting to show now.
The lone indica is buried about 2 feet shorter than the rest and finishing earlier than anything.
Polyhybrids are middle of the pack and have a ways to go
The sativas are looking nuts and only just beginning

Ran some enzymes from Humboldt's Secret thru them last night and will start a new tea brew today.
Also dropping a ton more seeds and restarting the flood and drain back in the carport and under lights.
Will drop a bunch of indica seeds as well as melon from the grocery store, peppers, and brandywine tomatoes.
I'm just gonna grow stuff to see what I can grow and really not pay any mind to seasons until there's a freeze. But until then, green side up!
