I’m trying out growing for the first time it’s my second week this setup is from a book that I read. It uses irrigation sprayers and a water pump to recirculate the water like a low pressure aeroponic system. I’ve noticed that my plants have started acting strangely and am currently running under the assumption that it is due to insufficient aeration. Images of the plants + their roots are linked If anyone has any corrections in terms of diagnosis that would be greatly appreciated.

My current plan to help with aeration is to add a Venturi right after the pump to aerate the water being sprayed i also am most getting an air pump to see if that helps also.

If my conclusion/ plan for resolution is dumb please let me know I’d appreciate some help as this is my first time experimenting with hydroponics and I don’t know very much as of now. I can link a YouTube video with the same type of setup I found while researching that’s made for tomatoes and provide more images of the plants thanks everyone for reading the post i appreciate it thanks.

( not too sure how to tag sorry)

I increased the temp to around 75 F I’m not too sure about RH and the ppfd is around 300 I can increase it to about 1000 ppfd at max power and i have some supplemental lights to push it a bit higher for during flower if needed I’m using the master blend mix based off their mixing instructions so I’m not too sure about ratios

but it’s what I was told would be good for cannabis
The growth system Plays an important/big role on what's needed, the plant will show you.

Also here’s an update after turning up the heat if anyone is curious I’m gonna use some ph down since the ph changed to about 6.6 and the ppm hasn’t changed since yesterday
You probably need to add a buffer the carbonate level in your water is low… not a bad thing

Oh I’m using citric acid for ph down lol

Might just have to do a system flush to get rid of any nutrients that haven’t been taken up since the ppm hasn’t gone down for about a day would you think that’s reasonable?
Thats your problem… citric is no good in hydro. It breaks down fast and of gasses as co2z

Citric acid reacts with bicarbonate

300 ppfd is too high for them too

Mine around 100-150 and showing light stress but that also involves the environmental variables and light hours, DLI, and spectrum, VPD.

That is also contributing to why they are curling down and away, the light is too intense for their young selfs.
100% ^^^

Get some 85% phosphoric acid bro lol

I'm broke and in a bad spot right now, the citric acid was cheap and easy for me to get and goes a long ways

Apparently it's a chelator too, so use both
Lmao I’m broke asf myself I’m a college student I’m essentially just using whatever money i have left over after buying myself groceries to pay for this I’m using the gecko grow master blend bc I found 5kg of dry mix for about $40 the only nice thing i have in my setup is my grow light

Welcome to Bud Builders. ^ This is what you want^.
Phosphoric acid.

With my current mix my nutrient ratio is roughly 3-1-4 is that fine?
Yup that will work for now.i like a 2-1-3 bit higher P for Veg. 3-1-4 is for transition and the 2-1-4 after 3 weeks of flower to the end.

Thats a general plan i use

But that will work the entire grow and it can be slightly different depending how the genetics are.

Oh the strain is pink cookies would that affect what ratio I should use?
