CannaGranny’s Corner a Thread For General BS and Good Will On BudBuilders

Well I’ve been out on the range all morning. Finally got 200 rounds through this new barrel and she seems to be settling out pretty nicely. My load seems to be one she likes. I shot a 100 rounds this morning in some hellacious wind and was popping the snot outta the bull. Good thing cause we have a big team match tomorrow and I hate letting my partner down.
Fixing to smoke some make me set still stuff, cases are on the annealer, then reload another 100 rounds. No rest for the wicked..will take me about four hours to load up another 100.
I’ll come sliding in for another smoke this evening. 🥰

You ever worry about having a stoner moment and adding too much powder? I’d be to fearful of a mistake to smoke, but then I don’t have years of experience reloading.

Do you tumble your brass before you start?

Do the bullets have a mark or line to show how deep it should be seated?

I need to break out the safe queens and oil them up. Pick a few for an outing. 🤔

What's up!
Got this free bubble hash infused cherry lemonade pre roll for free today! Score! Going to save it for the homies next poker night.

Man I was in the tent right at lights off yesterday and that's when my IR comes on by itself for another 15 minutes...
I'm zipping up the tent and accidentally look into the light for just a second ... My right eye still hurts today.. fuck

How much snow is that @CannaGranny ?

Lucky as usual TGIF rolled into one, we escaped. Some existing wall cracks re-appeared -- nothing threatening. When I called my wife on her wireline phone from my.own the call went through. I was swimming, didnt feel a thing. We don't have FEMA level response teams here, lots of people sleeping on the street in a city with 12 million folks. Good thing they are getting scarcer; Mother Earth continues to warn us, and she's batting last. I knew my Granny wouldn't fergit, appreciate that😅🥰🤩
Glad you guys are 👍

I told em to grab a mop, a broom, some water and paper towels. Spring clean or get out!
Well….
😁😆😂🤣

Not really. Smoking settles my mind, like slows it down so I can concentrate better. It’s all in how much you smoke.

First thing you do with new brass is trim the neck, then you tumble. When it comes out of the tumbler, you measure and seat it deeper If needed or weed out the ones that fall short as sighter shots. Next you put a primer in it and seat the case and expand the neck. Then you fill it with powder add the bullet, set the bullet and measure yet again. This is the measurement you do to each individual weapon, it’s known as length off the lands. My barrel performs top shooting with 12 thousandths off the lands.
Through shot development a load is developed that gives the tightest groupings. For instance, my girl likes 33.10 grains. 33.12 or above, the group is not as tight. 33.09 and below, her waterline is not as tight.
So, it’s fully custom precision loading.
