Hey Hey!! we're back at it again with some new genetics and a fun new grow!!!!

Chocolope was chosen and i started the two fem seeds about three weeks ago...

Capture.JPG

lights are california light works solarsystem 550's and current spectrum is just 15Red 30white 30blue and positioned about twenty inches above the plants.

nutrients are general hydroponics floramicro and florabloom (Lucas formula) also added is mr humic along with hygrozyme and great white.

i have topped both plants just once and will be topping one more time yet and plan to prune all of the lower growth before the screen is lowered. i have a couple weeks yet from what i estimate. they're growing a few inches a day right now and eating a little more than they are drinking at the moment so i will add some extra nutes in the next day or so. i started out around 440ppm and in just a few days it dropped to 370ppm so i added some base nutes and brought it up to 760ppm and in the past couple days it's back down to 650ppm so i will add some more until it stops dropping. ph has been steady...

full disclosure i have never grown chocolope before. i've had concentrate of it three times from the local weed store and it was a great smoke, always lifted me up and made me happy so i am hoping for a great harvest and an even better smoke!!!!

so join along with me and lets watch the grass grow!! ;gltleaf

I would really like to try and keep up with the lower growth under the screen by starting sooner and more often. maybe this way when i flip it won't be as big of a task and i'll want to do it.

009.JPG

they're trying to spit out roots above the collars... don't think i ever had that happen before.. they look like mushroom pins!!

010.JPG

i think they're just trying to reach the bubbles!!!!!! ;hd ;hd ;hd

i also rotated them 90° to even out the light a little.. ppms dropped another 25 today.. i'll feed em more tomorrow, i'll aim for 700ppm.

plants are growing... i've been lazy and haven't done anything yet at all except for squirting some nutes in the rez.. they keep eating it so i'll keep adding it. i haven't done a change out yet. put these in on the 1st and plan to let it ride till this weekend.

right now my recipe is the following, over the weekend i added some cal mag and some green aminos along with extra base nutes... i'm currently at 730ppm.

Looking good Stoney 😁They are little monsters ..I reckon shes trying to grow those roots because of the moisture it had down there before you trimmed it all up.I’ve seen stem rot in that area if there isn’t adequate air movement .i like your stickers..FAFO 🤣

i was thinking the same thng Max, i have the water level a little higher to the net cups in the veg area and when i moved them over they have a gap and i think they went looking for water once it was gone. i think maybe this isn't a great thing so i slowly raised the water level in this system to match the veg tubs. i think because i go commando with them they don't need a gap of air, inside the netcup is their gap. my stoner theory anyway!!

i had stem rot a few years ago and that is no fun at all, fully mature plants that look healthy as can be then ya bump them and they break right off!!! gggrrrrrr not fun at all!!!!!

i've really been trying to keep them thin so it's easier at flip time... i've been making an effort anyway..

004.JPG

i got all the side branching i want now.. so now it's time for some vertical growth before i lower the screen!!! we want em higher than you know what...

I want bluelab guardian eco con

ebay my man!! open box or used.. i've never paid full price for one single bluelabs piece that i have. i got this last wifi guardian for $106 delivered, and the owner only used it for the EC so the ph probe was still new in box, those are like $70-80 just for the probe alone!

so somebody...
<--- we won't mention any names who was all torn up one night and tried to jam a power plug into the usb connectors on my power strip and fried the 5vdc side!!
so for $17 i upgraded.. usb and c.. and more than double the outlets!!! the other one still works for the high power part.. just no usb power.

I had to do the same thing this week. I had 2 extension cords with splitters in the ends to attach timers. They take up so much space on the bars. I went a bit overboard with this one $28 Cdn Amzone. I'd been using dollar store splitters and they scare me being cheapo Chinese junk. my stuff there is all low wattage but they take up spacepower bar.jpg

Ya need cell phone for hook up.
I bought 1 when I bought my ebike, gave it to my son and he promptly lost it. I couldn't figure the fker out anyways and no one is around to teach me. I could never touch the right place on the fkin thing and it would go somewhere else I didn't want when I did touch it. Just frustrated the heck out of me so it hit the...Drawer where it gathered dust until my son absconded with it one day while searching for a charger cord. So I guess I gave it to him.

i could use one that size for my tv/receiver/sub and junk.. not as bad anymore now that we don't have directv, that was three plugs alone..

and the wall warts like that just suck em up so from now on i'm getting them bigger than i really think.

i got that idea from you when you said it a couple weeks ago!!

i thought about hanging one in each plant site under the waterfall output.. for now i just put in the one in the rez, the chiller pump output makes a swirl effect kinda just like your rez so the bag is in that current. but it won't be long at all when the chiller isn't needed, hell its probably not even really needed right now, the tubs in veg don't have a chiller... when i shut that chiller pump off i might just lay the net bag in the four inch return tube. water passes over that constantly.

i also did not use any tap water at all this changeout.. rain water only so not starting with any calcium. fingers crossed!

I like it!!! Never know man...might've just unlocked a new and improved calmag for all we know!

I'd BOTLO for anything off like dirty foam on the surface or getting any kind of fishy dock smell for negative side effects.
Positive effects should be no calmag defs and lush growth even with no calmag or reduced nute levels, tolerance to bug damage, and possible extra frost!
