Just planted Colombian Saucyballs. I made the cross a couple years ago and only grew one so far. I have 2 landrace Colombian going to cross back to.

Day 6 flower. I cut another node off the Colombian. I would never top normal plants a week after flip, but these are not normal plants. I'm attempting to make them little dwarf plants that will actually finish in my small space.

I'm using a 4000K HLG now. Figuring out the feeding is impossible. I have the same problem as last time; they show deficiency then I feed 1/2 strength and it's too much. Hopefully someone knows the secret recipe and shares. These are the hardest plants I've ever grown- trying different things to make it work.

Promix and dynagrow/bloom mix so its almost like hydro except I tip dressed with EWC and Strawberry Fields.

I did, but for some reason it revegged under 13hrs dark. Maybe they can't flower until they have enough roots? I've had lots of plant that delay flowering if I flip before a transplant takes hold. So IDK if I'll do any better this time, but I'm gonna try.

We got to 92 last week,and back to 57 today. Supposed to rain all week; my tomato and peppers don't like it the turnips and onions love it. The carrots are just pissin me off now.

Is this a nute problem or invisible bugs? I got rid of the spider mites-or at least I can't see any. Thought maybe calcium so I added that last feeding.

Maybe? I don't see any black though and they aren't falling off, plus the rh has been good. I swear, I have more problems with this stuff. Normally I'd be half way to harvest now. Probably another 2-3 weeks before they make a pistil.

Day 8 for Colombian Saucyballs. 4 looks like I expected, but 1 looks like pure Colombian. It is entirely possible that it got some stray Colombian pollen I used to make the Saucy Colombian. I guess the only way to know for sure is to grow it. Problem is I'm not going to have room to grow all of them.

The shape of the leaves are a bit strange on the larger group a few posts back. Are they taking after the parents? Any special feeding needs on those?

I get why you mentioned calcium, but does not really fit what I usually see for a Ca def.

IDK, the stems were pretty hollow. I never did get the Colombian right last time. It finished and made ripe seeds, but it wasn't pretty.

Looks like a tough plant to grow if you can't pull it off.

You know I'm a hydro guy and I should stay in my lane, but that girl you just posted looks hungy and really airy, like it's too hot. But that makes no sense being columbian- they are used to heat and humidity.

It was summer and it was too hot. Plus I had just started using led and was probably too close. That was about day 145 flower. I'm sure it had root problems. Trying to learn from past mistakes, but it's gonna get too hot again pretty soon.

Day 13f. As I was mixing nutes today, I noticed the bottle is almost empty and I can hear solids in the bottom when I shake it. I usually don't bother testing ppm anymore because my good meter broke and the other one is not calibrated and cheap. So anyways 1tsp old nutes was 300ppm, the new bottle was 385 ppm. Depending on what the solids are though-maybe part of the problem?

Dyna foliage plus and bloom. It's tough to dial in. They look hungry so you feed them half a dose, then the leaves curl like the 2nd pic.

this was 2 years ago day 37. 12-12 from seed. I threw them away and used the clones. This time Ive been able to keep them shorter, so I'm hoping I can flower these. Same batch of seeds from Medellin.

Day 22f and not a pistil is sight. They are growing fast and getting entirely too big. I might have to toss the mothers and try to flower the clone. I was hoping to see sex first so I can start tossing shit out.

Looks like you have your hands full with sativas with no trace of hybrid at all, just 100% sativa. Flowering will be a long journey and when they're pure like that, take a while to get the flower party started. Usually by day 20-30 you should see something and then expect a 12-20 week flowering period to ripe.
You could try to force it by giving them 24-36 hours of dark. This is a nice little trick to get males to reveal themselves. Females will still be slow as usual but males respond to it.
You can also reduce lights on time to 10 on, 14 off so they know yes it's time to flower. Their genetics are tuned to the equator time zone which is why it takes a while. It's always 12/12 down there so you have to find ways to trigger them into thinking it's time to flower by manipulating more darkness so they get the message.

They've been on 11hrs light for 23 days now. The problem with going less is getting enough DLI without turning the light up so much I burn them. I'm seeing some alternating nodes now, last time they went 74 days grown 12-12 from seed. Hoping to do a little better this time... The Hybrids off to the side might get pistils before the purebred lol.

Day 24f Colombian, not a pistil or possible anything to look at. Cut the bottom off and tied down. Colombian Saucyballs day 17....8f. I might have to toss the mothers if they don't hurry up.

Idk if its that or something else that makes the Colombian effect, especially in the oil. I'm just trying to keep that pure sativa effect but not take forever or be almost completely fucking impossible like these. I'm hoping to get some pollen to freeze.
