Columbian and SA are lines I've wanted to dig into but got skunked. Got a few packs from snow high of the raw Punta rojo but at that point they were already 15-20 years old.

They definitely try the patience levels for sure!

Mexican strains have evolved a lot since I started. In 1976 it was 100% Sativa, and sold for $125lb. It took 4-5 bong hits to get high. By 1980 the Mexican weed had been improved with Colombian genetics and was more potent, but still pure Sativa. It sold for $300-$400 lb when the good Colombian was $500lb. At some point in the late 80s-early 90s, Indica's got bred into them and they got ripe faster and made bigger buds. High times did an article about it- they called them Mickies.
This strain was made from 2008 seeds.

A little off topic but something I've always wanted to see is a chart or list of some sorts that details which landraces are in popular strains every day people may encounter.

I get alot of afghani and Hindu go into the indicas, I've seen that skunk had Mexican and Thai or something....I just think it would be neat to see. Also would help to know which landraces aren't on many strains of today

What is something I may have smoked that has Colombian roots?

I'd love to one day grow some stuff like this

These are 100% Sativa from Antioquia Colombia. Skunk was part Colombian and almost everything now is related.

My possible female hasn't made more pisils and even has possible male looking. Might have to throw in the towel; I don't know how to make it flower. I just put it in sunlight to see it it triggers it, but that's probably gonna make it stretch even more.

Colombian day 69...41f. I took out the male Colombian and gonna try to get pollen. The other one is flowering on one branch and making tiny male looking nubs that haven't gone either way yet. It's almost like its gender neutral. Not sure how much longer I'll wait.

I had a strawberry cough that took 30 something days in flower before it even showed a pistil.
Id hang in there a little longer man, never know, you might strike gold with that plant.

Ive been dealing with 4 herms myself
I just kept plucking balls till they stopped, they were mainly all in the lowers. Pretty nice plants now.

Heres a clone of that strawberry cough, it was taken from a flowering plant like 2 or 3 months ago, (still revegging too...) it still isnt showing pistils even though it was mature when i took the snip. Plants are wicked weird bro lol.

The Colombian female I grew 2 years ago revegged after it was cloned in 12-12. It's weird like a reverse auto or something. They just can't flower until its big enough? Age doesn't matter IDK? its not like any others I've grown-even the old Colombians.
This one still hasn't made a real male flower, and one branch is making pistils. I cut the light back another 15min to 13:15 dark. I'm was thinking about cutting the top half off, just to see what it would do.
The male is slowly making flowers.

Colombian Saucuballs 39 days from seed and spewing pollen. Colombian day 72 from seed and no pollen yet. Not sure what color temp this little feit electric 5w led is, but thought it might help make flowers.

Colombian leaf curl is worse since adding 15min dark. Took down rspec and put 3000k on it. Watered with plain tap water. The 2 female CSB look good. They want to get big, but I'm tryin to keep small.

I only ever grew one female and it was probably at least that. It's wierd, they won't flower until it's big enough. The male is about to pop, and that's what I really wanted. Pretty sure this one is a pure hermi.

that's what i thought. i recall following your last run, wasn't sure if this was the same one because that one went on for what seemed like ever. have you tried decreasing the light schedule to something severe, like 10/14 or even less lights on?

some day i want to try my hand at some of these landrace sativas. it's a rare privilege to be able to do that, given the hybridization of everything now adays, and previously time/space commitments.

i hear you. sativas like that really need room to breathe, somewhere they can run full course. iirc an old time grower i used to know told me about some of the original hazes taking 20+ weeks and being temperamental as all get out to get to completion. not really the kind of plants you can run in a room with 8-9 foot ceilings.

This type I'd say was mid, but some can be very kind. These seeds haven't been tested until now.

Its all good man. I had to look up brown clown. I never heard that. I've grown some Mexicans that were very good. You can take any premo buds and press it into a brick and wait for it to turn to schwag.
