Does a feminized have less stable clones?

My opinion is no......clones will have the same stability as its mother. If the mother hasn't hermied, it's likely the clone won't either. If the mother has hermied, it's highly likely the clones will too. But it could be the mother never saw any stress, but the clones did (which might cause it to hermie under those stress circumstances).

Also, I guess with "genetic drift" over time, things could change too.

In 1998 I was growing in a large warehouse with about 875 plants at any moment in time, from clones to finishing mothers. All were Nevil's Northern Lights 5x2. Every plant ever produced in there came from 1 mother. Mothers would be regularly cycled, but still- all mothers came from the single main mother I kept around for years. Never saw 1 hermie, ever. Breeding was different back then.

Full blown hermies are relatively rare Ime even then it's not over they can be sterile however it's not something you'd want to continue breeding any rate.

Plants with nanners are a different thing to hermies ime hermies show male flowers soon after flipping sometimes only around the bottom, nanners late in flower isn't unusual these that imo is only a minor issue which ime don't always produce seeds, nanners aren't worth worrying about but a plant bearing lots wouldn't be my 1st choice for breeding.

Afaik there's monoecious and diocious plants diocious won't under any circumstances produce two sexes it's not in their genetics, when folk's talk about solid genetics that's what they're on about, that's the reason exo for example just can't be reversed or that's my understanding of it all?

Have a nice weekend everyone 🍻

So I used to have a hemp farm and I ran non feminized seeds and feminized seeds. I made my own feminized seeds with colloidal silver. What Ive found is that the feminized seeds produce less vigorous plants with more chance of herming if the mother has easy herm traits. If it is a super stable strain I would have issues trying to get the plants to produce feminized seeds. In fact one strain was an amazing purple genotype that grew about eight feet tall and smelled wonderful. 18% CBD. But that strain was so stable I couldn’t get it to herm on purpose. In short, if the mother plant herms easy, the feminized seeds and clones will herm easy. If it is stable, it won’t but it will be hard making fem seeds with it. Hope that helps.
