This is just a theory. Every time my plants smell like black pepper I have bugs. Every time! I think cannabis puts out black pepper terpenes when bugs start eating vegetation. This is across the board with different strains usually early to mid flower. Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon?

Not yet, but I'll bet this sticks with me. As forgetful as I am, this is the kind of succinct explanation that I'm likely to remember. [Smell back pepper] > [Oh, shit! Garbage_bear said...] > [Inspect for bugs.]

Curious to see if others have had the same experience 🍿

Ghost Train Haze by Rare Dankness. Pink pistils pheno. No bugs but very strong black pepper terps at chop. UV may have brought it out

Reminds me of "Garlic Bud" from the late 70's or early 80's that was making the rounds. Big pepper smell with that one. A popular strain from The Seed Bank in Amsterdam.

Check this out......from an original Seed Bank catalog.
